Now the effect of cold is gradually decreasing in many parts of the country. Light cold is being felt in the morning, but the cold reduces as the temperature increases in the afternoon. However, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that there may be a change in the weather of North India in the coming days i.e. Valentine’s Week.

According to the Meteorological Department, 3 western disturbances will be active on 13 and 16-17 February. Due to this, there may be rain and snowfall in some hilly states including Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. There is also a possibility of strong winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour, storm and lightning in these areas. The weather may also change in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh on 16 February. Here, there has been a warning of light rain along with thunderstorm and lightning at some places.

Cold will remain in hilly areas

The Meteorological Department says that due to the effect of western disturbance, cold will continue in the hilly areas. At the same time, the temperature may increase slightly in eastern states like Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim and Odisha. There is currently no major warning of rain in these states, but there may be light fog in the morning and evening.

Delhi-NCR weather

There is a possibility of clear weather in Delhi-NCR from 11 to 13 February. There may be light fog in the morning. The maximum temperature can be around 25 degrees and the minimum temperature can be around 9 degrees.

condition of Uttar Pradesh

Weston Disturbance will not have much impact in Uttar Pradesh. There may be light fog on the morning of 11 February. The minimum temperature is likely to be between 5 to 10 degrees. The temperature may increase by 2-3 degrees in the next three days. Overall, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in the hilly areas, while the weather will be normal in the plains, but mild cold and fog will persist. Overall, while the cold is decreasing in the plains, the weather in North India may change once again due to the Western Disturbance.

The effect of cold is continuously increasing in Delhi-NCR. According to the Meteorological Department, on Wednesday (January 14), the maximum temperature in the capital may be around 20 degrees and the minimum temperature may be around 4 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of cold winds blowing at a speed of 5 to 10 kilometers per hour in the afternoon, due to which the cold will feel more stinging.

Orange alert of dense fog, people suffering from cold wave

Orange alert has been issued regarding dense fog in Delhi-NCR. Visibility is expected to be very low in the morning and late night, due to which road and rail traffic may be affected.

The effect of cold wave also continues. The minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 3 degrees Celsius on Tuesday morning, which was the coldest morning of January in the last three years. Whereas in Noida the mercury fell by two degrees, due to which people were forced to shiver.

AQI reaches 615, air is very bad

Along with cold and fog, the air of Delhi has also reached critical condition. Today (14 January) the AQI of the capital was once again recorded at 615, which falls in the very dangerous category. Due to poisonous air, the elderly, children and respiratory patients have been advised to take special caution.

Relief may be available between 15th and 20th January

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), there may be a gradual increase in the maximum and minimum temperatures between January 15 and January 20. During this period, the maximum temperature is expected to reach 23 degrees and the minimum temperature is expected to reach around 10 degrees Celsius. However, light to moderate fog may persist in the morning.

Weather may change due to western disturbance

IMD says that a new western disturbance may become active in the western Himalayan region from January 15, whose effect will be seen in Delhi-NCR also.

Due to this, the sky may remain partly cloudy till January 19 and a slight increase in temperature may be recorded. There is a possibility of rain along with hailstorm between January 20 and 23, due to which the weather may take a turn once again.

Amidst the ongoing cold wave in Bihar, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for extremely dense fog in many parts of the state and has advised people to remain alert. India Meteorological Department has given this information on Friday (26 December). The Meteorological Department said that there was an outbreak of cold wave in Bihar on Friday and the minimum temperature was recorded below 10 degrees Celsius in many districts.

Where is the coldest place?

The department said that Aurangabad in the state and Sabaur in Bhagalpur were the coldest places in the state, where the minimum temperature was recorded at 7.4 degrees Celsius.

Temperature of different districts

It said that after this, 7.6 degrees were recorded in Gaya of the state, 8.9 degrees each in Bhagalpur and Sheikhpura, 9 degrees each in Valmiki Nagar and Dehri of West Champaran, 9.3 degrees in Jehanabad and 9.5 degrees in Saharsa.

The department said that orange alert has been issued for dense to very dense fog in East Champaran, West Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Patna, Bhojpur, Buxar, Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Arwal and Jehanabad districts.

People advised to take precautions

The Meteorological Department said that due to fog, visibility remained very low in various parts of the state on Friday. An official of IMD, Patna, said that people have been advised to take necessary precautions especially in the morning and the concerned authorities have been asked to remain alert as road, rail and air traffic may be affected due to low visibility.

According to the Meteorological Department, the severe cold wave is likely to continue in many parts of the state till December 29. Due to lack of continuous sunlight, abnormal drop in day temperature is being recorded, due to which one has to resort to bonfire and warm clothes even during the day. Experts believe that slight improvement in the weather is possible only after December 30, before that there is little hope of relief.

Now the real effect of winter is visible in Delhi. Due to the icy winds coming from the north-western direction, the night temperature has dropped by more than three degrees. People are feeling severe cold in the morning and night. Cold winds have made Delhi’s winter more intense.

According to the Meteorological Department, on Friday (December 26), the maximum temperature of the capital is likely to be between 21 to 23 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be between 7 to 9 degrees. The minimum temperature recorded in Delhi on Thursday was 6.5 degrees, which is about one degree less than normal. Due to increasing cold at night, people were seen resorting to warm clothes.

Dense fog will remain for two days

The weather department has also warned about fog for the next two days. It is estimated that light to moderate fog may prevail in most areas of Delhi. There is a possibility of reduced visibility especially in the morning, due to which road and rail traffic may be affected.

There will be light clouds during the day

However, the situation is a little relieved during the day. The Meteorological Department says that there may be light clouds during the day, but there is also a possibility of bright sunshine. For this reason the maximum temperature still remains above normal. Due to sunshine in the afternoon, the effect of cold is felt less.

improve air quality

Along with winter, there is good news about Delhi’s air as well. A decrease in pollution levels has been recorded in the capital for the second consecutive day. There has been improvement in air quality due to strong sunlight and wind throughout the day. At present the AQI has been recorded at 286, which falls in the poor category, but the situation is better than before.

However, the Air Quality Early Warning System says that if the wind speed decreases, the pollution level may again fall into the very poor category in the next 24 hours. According to the India Meteorological Department, the pollution level may increase once again with the change in weather.
