But despite this, there are many women who are suffering from a serious nutrient deficiency from within. This deficiency is of Vitamin D, which is also known as sunshine vitamin in common language.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">According to health experts, Vitamin D deficiency has become a big problem in India. The surprising thing is that the level of Vitamin D is found to be less than normal in almost 90 percent of women. This is the reason why women are facing problems like bone pain, weakness, fatigue, mood swings and falling ill again and again at an early age. <br /><strong>Why is Vitamin D so important?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Vitamin D is very important for our body. It helps in absorbing calcium and phosphorus properly in the body, thereby keeping bones and teeth strong. Apart from this, it strengthens our immunity and helps in protecting the body from many diseases. According to studies, people who have healthy levels of Vitamin D also have less risk of diabetes, heart disease and some types of cancer. It is even more important for women, because its need increases with hormonal changes, pregnancy and aging. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Why is Vitamin D deficiency increasing in women?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Today&#8217;s modern lifestyle is the biggest reason for this deficiency. Women spend most of their time inside home or office. Don&#8217;t get time to go out in the sun. Apart from this, most women wear sunscreen or full clothes to protect themselves from the sun.  Sources of Vitamin D are limited in vegetarian diet. The body needs more Vitamin D during pregnancy and breast feeding. After 40 years the density of bones gradually starts decreasing. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Due to all these reasons, Vitamin D deficiency in women is increasing rapidly. In women, bones start becoming weak after the age of 40. If the body does not get enough Vitamin D at this time, then bones start breaking quickly. This condition is called osteoporosis. Research shows that 90 percent of women are at this risk and due to this the risk of fracture is double that of men. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>What are the symptoms of Vitamin D deficiency?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">If there is a deficiency of Vitamin D in the body, then many of its symptoms start appearing, such as feeling tired and weak all the time, pain in bones, back and knees, muscle weakness or cramps, irritability, sadness or depression, frequent cold, cough or infection, excessive hair fall, insomnia. According to doctors, the normal level of Vitamin D in the body should be 20 to 50 ng/ml. If it is less than this, treatment is required. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>How to overcome Vitamin D deficiency?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Vitamin D deficiency can be compensated with some easy measures. In which the best way is to stay in the sun for 15-20 minutes every day between 7 to 9 am.  Be sure to include egg yolk, fatty fish (salmon, tuna), milk, curd and cheese, mushrooms, fortified dairy products in your diet. If symptoms are severe then get checked by a doctor. If needed, they recommend taking Vitamin D supplements. </p>

<p>Indian food is famous all over the world for its taste. But a new report by the Indian Council of Medical Research has revealed the health risks behind this taste. According to the report, the amount of carbohydrates in the diet of Indians is very high and the amount of protein is very less. This is the reason why problems like obesity, diabetes and muscle weakness are increasing rapidly in the country. </p>
<p><strong>What came out in the ICMR report?</strong></p>
<p>In this research conducted by ICMR and National Institute of Nutrition, the diet of Indian people was analyzed. According to which the report revealed that the diet of Indians consists of 65 to 70 percent carbohydrates. Whereas the amount of protein is only 10 percent.  This means that people fill their stomach, but the body does not get the necessary nutrition. According to this report, carbohydrate foods like rice, roti and potatoes are eaten the most in the Indian plate. According to ICMR, their excessive quantity increases the sugar level in the body and accumulates fat, which causes problems like weight gain, fatigue and diabetes.</p>
<p><strong>Indians&#8217; body is becoming weak due to lack of protein </strong></p>
<p>According to this report, a person needs about 60 grams of protein daily, but most Indians are able to get only 35 to 40 grams of protein from their food. Proteins like pulses, milk, egg and soya are almost missing from the Indian plate. Due to which it affects immunity and muscle strength.  According to ICMR research, people in South India depend on rice, but in North India they use wheat more. Whereas in the North-East and coastal areas, some good protein is available from fish and coconut, but overall there is a lack of balance in the diet in the entire country. </p>
<p><strong>ICMR warning </strong></p>
<p>ICMR has advised people to immediately improve their diet. According to the report, if people do not include protein and healthy fat along with grains in their diet, then diseases may increase in the future. In this report of ICMR, it has been suggested that it is important to maintain a balance of 25 percent protein, 50 percent carbs and 25 percent healthy fat in the plate. In such a situation, you can include pulses, milk, egg, curd soya and vegetables in your daily plate.</p>
