Pakistan government announced the implementation of Section 144 in Rawalpindi district. This step was taken when rumors regarding the health and presence of former Prime Minister Imran Khan intensified. The administration feared that their party PTI might protest on a large scale across the country. In view of this, every type of crowd and gathering has been banned from 1st to 3rd December.

In the orders issued by District Deputy Commissioner Dr. Hasan Waqar Cheema, it has been clearly stated that no crowd will be allowed to gather in any form during these three days. The administration also made it clear that carrying weapons, roaming around with sticks or any kind of inflammable material, trying to remove police barricades and playing loud speakers will be completely prohibited. There is a ban on even seating of two people on a motorcycle. The government says that they have received confidential inputs which indicate violence and chaos.

PTI complaint

Imran Khan is lodged in Adiala jail since August last year. His party alleges that they have neither been allowed to see their leader for more than a month, nor are they being made to talk to him in any verified manner. PTI leaders claim that the government is hiding their condition and that is why the party was preparing for a massive peaceful demonstration, but the administration has already tried to control the situation by banning any kind of rally or meeting.

Statement of Imran Khan’s son

Qasim Khan, who lives abroad, expressed deep concern while speaking to Reuters. He said that there has been no contact with his father for months, nor has the family received any reliable information about him. According to Qasim, this situation has become like mental torture for the family. He alleged that the jail administration is not allowing the meeting despite the orders of the High Court and he fears that the situation has become very serious.

Why is the administration afraid? Intelligence report increased concern

The report of the district intelligence committee has indicated that some groups may try to take the protests to sensitive locations belonging to the army. After this warning, the government has clarified that Section 144 is necessary to prevent any untoward situation and maintain public safety. In view of the recent political situation, the administration does not want to take any risk.

The journey from a legendary captain to a jail cell

Imran Khan, who made Pakistan the champion in the Cricket World Cup 1992, later became the Prime Minister and remained in power from 2018 to 2022. Many cases are going on against him since last year, in which he was also sentenced. Khan says that all the cases are an act of political vendetta, but now the questions being raised about his condition in jail have added a new twist to the politics of Pakistan.

Various types of discussions have been spreading for the last several days regarding the health of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan. No one knows whether they are okay or not and this uncertain situation has created tension in the entire country. Now his sister Noreen Niazi has openly expressed her displeasure and described the current condition of Pakistan as very dangerous.

Noreen says that Pakistan is going through a phase which reminds her of Hitler’s reign. According to him, the situation has become so dire that civilians are being disappeared without any information and Army Chief Asim Munir is running the country “like a dictator”.

Noreen Niazi’s allegation – not even allowed to meet for four weeks

Noreen told that the family has been continuously trying to meet Imran Khan for the last four weeks, but the jail administration is not allowing anyone to meet him. According to him, when the family does not even get a glimpse of anyone or receive any information, it is natural for rumors to spread. He said that this situation is creating deep apprehension in the minds of people whether something untoward has happened to Imran Khan. It also came to light that PTI leaders were also stopped outside the jail and were not even allowed inside.

Never seen such atrocities in Pakistan before – Noreen’s pain

Noreen Niazi described the treatment meted out to Imran Khan in jail as a blatant violation of law and human rights. He said that according to the jail manual, any prisoner can be kept in isolation for a maximum of four days, but Imran Khan was kept alone for several weeks last year. According to him, during that time even electricity was cut off, he was not even allowed to read books and this time too the same situation is being repeated. He said that no one knows what is going on inside. This oppression has crossed its limits.
