Aalima Khan, sister of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who was protesting outside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, was sprayed with water on a cold night. Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has expressed displeasure over this, calling this action a violation of basic human rights and freedom of assembly in the winter season.

Different news are coming out regarding Imran Khan for the last few days. The Pakistan government has imposed a ban on meeting Imran Khan, due to which his sister Aalima Khan along with a large number of supporters came to protest outside the jail. During this, Aalima Khan and other protesters were showered with water on the cold night. Police used water cannon to disperse the crowd.

According to the report of Pakistani news channel Dawn, PTI issued a joint statement on social media platform ‘X’ and said that Pakistani authorities used water cannon outside Adiala jail to disperse the crowd of Aalima Khan and PTI workers. The party says that the government is not allowing it to meet Imran Khan, although the court had allowed it.

The statement said, ‘This brutal crackdown on a peaceful protest is a violation of basic human rights and the freedom of assembly in cold weather.’ The party also shared a video on Twitter, in which people were shown running from the spot and using water cannon.

PTI said, ‘Fascist activities of Punjab Police have started once again. The workers who were peacefully protesting outside Adiala Jail in extreme cold were attacked with water cannons. These cowardly actions will neither be able to suppress our voice nor reduce our morale.

In another post, PTI said, ‘His family was put on strike as they were not allowed to meet him. Using water cannon against peaceful protests is not only a brazen violation of Imran Khan’s prisoner rights, but also a direct attack on the constitutional rights of the people who gathered to protest the government’s atrocities.

PTI has appealed to the International Human Rights Organization to intervene in the matter. According to local media reports, Imran Khan’s sister Alima Khan and PTI members started protesting outside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail on Tuesday. Alima Khan told that Imran Khan has not been allowed to meet his personal doctor for the last 14 months.

He said that Asim Munir yearns for war with India, whereas his brother Imran Khan has always tried to improve relations with the neighboring country and make friends.

Alima Khan said these things on Sky News’ ‘World with Yalda Hakim’ show. He was asked what was the reason for the military conflict between India and Pakistan in May. On this, Alima targeted the Pak Army Chief and said, ‘Asim Munir is a radical Islamist and Islamic fundamentalist. This is the reason why he yearns for war with India. Their Islamic fundamentalist and conservative thinking instigates them to fight against those who are not associated with Islam.

Alima described brother Imran Khan as a liberal and said, ‘Whenever Imran Khan will come to power, you will see that he always tries to build friendly relations with India and even BJP. And when Islamic fundamentalist Asim Munir comes to power, you will see that he will go to war with India. Not only India but also its allied countries will suffer losses. He has appealed to the western countries to help them in getting Imran Khan released.

To avenge the Pahalgam terrorist attack of April 22, India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 and destroyed the terrorist hideouts of terror groups present in Pakistan. After this, Pakistan also attacked military bases in different cities of India, but India foiled all its attempts. Between 7-9 May, military conflict was witnessed between the two countries and on 10 May both the countries agreed to a ceasefire.

Imran Khan is lodged in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail since August 2023. A few days ago, news of his death in jail also came to light. However, on December 2, his sister Uzma Khan met him and told that Imran Khan is physically healthy, but he is being tortured mentally. Imran Khan has made serious allegations against Asim Munir and said that he is being treated worse than animals in jail. He said that he is being kept in such conditions in which a convict is kept after being sentenced to death.

The dispute between Asim Munir and Imran Khan dates back to 2019. Then Imran Khan was the Prime Minister of Pakistan and Asim Munir was the ISI Chief. At that time, Asim Munir wanted to investigate against Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi in a corruption case, after which Imran Khan removed him from the post of ISI Chief within 8 months, while his tenure was for three years. Imran Khan has also termed Asim Munir’s allegations against Bushra Bibi as false.

In the 20-25 minute meeting, Imran Khan made serious allegations against Pakistan Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir and intelligence agency ISI. He has described Asim Munir as mentally ill and the most cruel dictator in history.

After meeting Imran Khan, Uzma Khan told that her brother is physically healthy, but he is being tortured mentally. After Uzma Khan’s meeting, Imran Khan’s party Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) issued a statement by posting it on social media platform X, in which complete details of the conversation between brother and sister have been given.

It was told in the post that Imran Khan is being treated worse than animals in jail. They are being given such facilities which are given to death row prisoners. PTI said, ‘Imran Khan has been arbitrarily detained for 850 days. The dictatorial military rule under General Asim Munir has violated the UN Mandela Rules. He is not even being allowed to meet his family and lawyers.

Imran Khan said that Asim Munir is mentally ill, morally corrupt and responsible for destroying the legal and constitutional structure of Pakistan. He said that Asim Munir ordered him and his wife Bushra Bibi to be put in jail on false charges and they are being mentally tortured in a gruesome manner.

Imran Khan said, ‘I have been locked in a cell and kept in solitary confinement. I was not allowed to meet anyone for four weeks. Even the normal facilities available in jail were denied to him. He said, ‘Whatever the army could do against me, it did. Now they have no choice but to kill me.

Imran Khan said that ISI controls all administrative matters related to his imprisonment. He said that if anything happens to him, the Army Chief and DG ISI will be responsible for it. Imran Khan says that his cell remains as hot as an oven. There was no electricity in his cell for five days and till this day he was kept locked in the cell.
