Rules Change from May 1: Many important changes are going to be implemented in the country from the first of May. The most direct impact of these will be on your home kitchen, travel and mobile gaming.

LPG cylinder

Like every month, on May 1, oil companies can release new prices of domestic and commercial gas cylinders. The prices will be decided according to the direction in which the prices of crude oil will go in the international market. Apart from this, there are preparations to change the delivery system also. OTP based delivery confirmation and eKYC can be implemented permanently.

ATF means air fuel

New rates of air turbine fuel may also be released on May 1. Crude oil prices have been in turmoil for the last few months due to the ongoing tension in West Asia. If ATF becomes expensive then airlines can increase air fares once again.

petrol-diesel

There is currently no sign of major change in the prices of petrol and diesel, but these will also have to be monitored in view of the fluctuations in the global market. The government can revise the price at any time.

New restrictions on online gaming

Under Online Gaming Rules 2026, the government will constitute Online Gaming Authority of India i.e. OGAI. Now games will be divided into three categories, money games, social games and e-sports.

Registration will be mandatory for games in which real money is involved. Time limit, age verification and parental control will also be made necessary for the safety of children.

NOTE- The new prices of LPG and ATF will be confirmed only after the official announcement on the morning of 1st May.
