India A vs Sri Lanka A Scorecard: India A team batted first and scored 277 runs. After the early dismissal of both the opening batsmen Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Prabhsimran Singh, Rituraj Gaikwad scored a century and captain Tilak Verma scored a half-century to take the Indian team to a big score.

In this match being played in Dambulla, Sri Lanka, India won the toss and chose to bat first. Vaibhav Suryavanshi hit some good shots in the beginning, but Mohammad Shiraz dismissed him on the score of 14. His opening partner Prabhsimran Singh could score only 2 runs. Priyansh Arya also departed after scoring 32 runs and by the time Team India reached 69 runs, it had lost three wickets.

Gaikwad-Tilak took over

Rituraj Gaikwad and Tilak Verma handled the innings and made a partnership of 150 runs. Gaikwad scored runs at a good strike rate, but captain Tilak Verma played at a strike rate of only 61.86, due to which Team India’s hopes of crossing 300 were dealt a blow. Gaikwad scored the 21st century of his List-A career. He scored 101 runs, while Tilak was out after scoring 60 runs. In the last overs, Suryansh Shedge and Ayush Badoni played cameo innings of 26 runs and 24 runs respectively, taking Team India to the score of 277 runs.

The Indian team scored 52 runs in the last 5 overs. The credit for this goes to the stormy innings of Suryansh Shedge and Ayush Badoni. Especially Shedge thrashed the Sri Lankan bowlers. Meanwhile, he scored 19 runs by hitting 2 sixes and a four in Chamika Karunaratne’s over. Shedge returned unbeaten after scoring 26 runs in 14 balls.
