Chappell wrote in his column written in ESPN Cricinfo that Kuldeep Yadav is the best leg spinner in the world after Shane Warne. He said that if Jasprit Bumrah does not play the second Test, then he should be replaced by left hand fast bowler Arshdeep Singh. He also explained the reason for this.

According to Chappell, Shubman Gill does not have diversity in bowling, due to the having Arshdeep Singh, there will be diversity. He said that one of the reasons for the fall of the wicket is also a change in bowling, due to which the batsman has to balance himself again but India does not have diversity in bowling right now.

Chappell said that in the second Test, I want to see Arshdeep Singh and Kuldeep Yadav in playing 11. Regarding Ravindra Jadeja, he said that he is not the main spinner in England’s condition. If he is fed as a batsman, he can play the role of an assistant spinner.

Chappell said that if Team India has to win the Test series against England, then you have to get down with a very balanced team.
