IND vs Eng 2nd Test Day 2 Highlights: By the end of the second day’s play in the Birmingham Test, England have scored 77 runs at the loss of 3 wickets. England team is still behind 510 runs in the first innings. The Indian team scored a huge score of 587 runs in the first innings thanks to Shubman Gill Double Century. For England, Joe Root and Harry Brook have taken the front.

On the second day, the Indian team carried forward their score from 310/5. Captain Gill had completed his century on the first day. There was a 203 -run partnership between Gill and Jadeja, but Josh Tung’s sharp bouncer sat on the ball and lost his wicket on a score of 89. Washington Beautiful came to the team to strengthen the Indian lower order batting, he did the same and scored 42 runs and shared 144 runs with Gill.

Shubman Gill created history

Shubman Gill broke many historical records while playing an innings of 269 runs. He has become a player to score the biggest score by an Indian batsman in England. He broke Sunil Gavaskar’s record of 221 runs. Apart from this, Gill has become only the sixth Indian batsman to score 250+ in Test cricket. Gill hit 30 fours and 3 sixes in his historic innings.

Talking about the bowling for England, Shoaib Bashir was the most successful bowler, who took a total of 3 wickets. Chris Woakes and Josh Tung took two wickets each. Bridan Cars, Ben Stokes and Joe Root took one wicket each.

England behind by 510 runs

Ben Docket and Jack Croly started the innings for England. The Indian bowlers were seen bowling sharply from the beginning, as a result Akashdeep Ducsts and dismissed the Oli Pope on the next ball, these two batsmen could not even open their account.
