Sourav Ganguly’s statement comes at a time when the demand for cancellation of the entire Asia Cup is gaining momentum, not only India vs Pakistan. The ACC (Asian Cricket Council) has released the schedule of the men’s Asia Cup 2025. The group will start from 9 September as compared to the stage, India and Pakistan are included in the same group. Taking a big step, the Bangladesh cricket team preparing for the tournament has included the power hitting coach in its coaching staff. According to the report of Cricbuzz, famous power hitting coach Julian Woods are fully prepared to join the Bangladesh team in August.

The Bangladesh cricket team for the Asia Cup 2025 will start practice at Sher -e -Bangla Stadium from 6 August. It has been hoped that Julian Wood will reach Bangladesh before this exercise camp and teach the batsmen the tricks of power hitting. Wood is credited for bringing change by adopting power-touching techniques in England’s limited overs team. According to Cricbuzz report, Wood will stay with Bangladesh cricket team for three weeks and will work to improve the range of batsmen’s shots.

A BCB official confirmed this with a cricketer, saying, “We hope that the Wood will arrive before the practice camp starting in Bangladesh before the Asia Cup.”

India and Pakistan in Group A of Asia Cup

Group A of Asia Cup has UAE and Oman with the Indian team and Pakistan team. Bangladesh Team is in Group B, along with Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Hong Kong. The first match is between Afghanistan and Hong Kong on 9 September. Team India’s first match in the Asia Cup to be held in UAE is on 10 September with UAE. India vs Pakistan match is on 14 September.
