The Indian cricket team is in danger of defeat in the ongoing second test in Guwahati. South Africa has strengthened its hold. The visiting team had scored 489 runs in the first innings, but India’s first innings ended at 201. Now South Africa’s second innings is going on and they have a lead of more than 350.

In this series against South Africa, only Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a half-century. In the first Test, no batsman could score 50 plus runs, in the first innings of the second Test too, except Yashasvi (58), no other Indian batsman could do so. Whereas in the first innings of Guwahati Test, South Africa’s Senuran Muthusamy scored a century (109) and Marco Jansen played a quick inning of 93 runs.

Such a crisis came after 30 years!

Team India now has one more innings (second innings) left in the Test series against South Africa. If no Indian batsman has scored a century in that too, then this will be the first time in the last 30 years that no Indian batsman has scored a century in any Test series played in India.

Danger of clean sweep looms over Team India

Under the coaching of Gautam Gambhir, the Indian cricket team had lost the Test series 3-0 at home to New Zealand last November. Now this could be the second time within a year when India gets a clean sweep at home. Now Team India can bat in the second innings with the intention of drawing the second test. Let us tell you that India is trailing 0-1 in the series. Therefore, even if the second test is a draw, the South African team will win the test series.

After the Test series, a 3-match ODI series will start between India and South Africa, the first match of which will be played on 30 November. After the ODI series, there will be a 5-match T20 series between the two countries.
