How many heinous attacks took place in the Congress government?

Due to the policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism, the security agencies and the strong security system, there has been a slight change in India’s fight against terrorism in the last few years. This is the reason that in the last 11 years, terrorist incidents have been reduced to around one third. Speaking in Parliament, Home Minister Amit Shah has said that 27 heinous attacks occurred in the Congress government and around 1000 people have died in it. How many terrorist attacks in the country in the last 25 years

Let us now tell you the figures in a little detail. A report by the South Asia Terrorism Portal (SATP) states that every third terrorist attack in India took place in Kashmir between 2000 and 2024. 4981 common citizens have died in 22,143 terrorist attacks in Kashmir till 2024. At the same time, 3624 security forces have been martyred by fighting these terrorists by 2024. At the same time, the second figure also says that between 2000 and 2024, the Indian Army has killed 24,512 terrorists. If the number of terrorists killed in the Pahalgam attack in 2025 is also added, then this figure increases. On an average, every other terrorist has been killed in Kashmir.

Number of terrorist attacks in Congress and BJP government

At the same time, a report of the Ministry of Home Affairs shows that there have been 7217 terrorist attacks from 2004 to 2014 across the country, while in the last decade i.e. from 2014 to 2024, the number of these terrorist attacks has decreased and this number has come down to less than 2242. Talking about the year 2015, this year there has been a big terrorist attack like Pahalgam in Kashmir. During this period, there has been a decrease of 70% in loss of life in terrorist attacks. According to this report, there has been a decrease of 81% in the death toll of common citizens and 50% in the number of deaths of security personnel.

Article 370 destroyed terrorism ecosystem

The Home Minister today (Tuesday), while speaking on terrorist attacks, has said that the UPA government has reduced the terrorist incidents in Kashmir, after the arrival of the Modi government. The security forces in the UPA government were around 1060, which is half reduced after the Modi government came. Amit Shah also said that Article 370 has completely destroyed the ecosystem of terrorism in Kashmir. Once upon a time, 10 thousand people used to come out, but whatever is killed now, it is buried there.

Quad Condemns Pahalgam Terror Attack: India has got very diplomatic success. Foreign ministers of the Quad group along with the US, Japan and Australia have strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April. 26 innocent citizens were killed in this attack.

In a joint statement released after the meeting held in Washington, the quad countries said that the organizers, attackers and those who provide financial assistance should be brought to the dock as soon as possible. He also opposed all kinds of violence and extremism, including cross -border terrorism. Foreign ministers reiterated that the quad is against any type of terrorism and all countries should work together for global peace. India has welcomed this international support and described it as the strength of its policy against terrorism.

Quad countries said in their shared statement, “We strongly condemn the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. We want the people involved in this attack, the planned and the money paying the money should be punished as soon as possible. We appeal to all the United Nations countries to help them to investigate together under the law.”

Quad leaders said, “We strongly condemn all kinds of terrorism and violence, whether it is from border or in some other form. We are fully prepared to work together against terrorism.” The statement expressed deep condolences to the families of those killed in the attack and wished the injured to recover soon. Also, all United Nations member countries were appealed to cooperate fully in the investigation under the rules of international law and UN Security Council.

Taking a dig at the Congress, he said that PM Modi has not given water to Pakistan by stopping the Indus Water Treaty, as the Nehru-Gandhi family had given 80 percent water to Pakistan in the earlier government.

This statement came after a fierce terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 people lost their lives. Trump administration response
After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, the Donald Trump administration immediately reacted and reiterated the support of India. On 23 April, President Trump spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the phone and expressed deep condolences to the victims. Trump said through a post on X (East Twitter) that India and America are standing together in the fight against terrorism. Rubio and Jaishankar’s conversation
On 30 April, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, India’s Foreign Minister S.K. Talked to Jaishankar and reiterated cooperation against terrorism. He encouraged India to reduce tension in the region and maintain peace.
