In the fifth T20 match played at the historic Gabba ground in Brisbane, Australia won the toss and chose to bowl first. When Shubhman Gill and Abhishek Sharma came to start the Indian innings, both of them started swinging the bat from the very beginning. Team India scored 19 runs in the first 2 overs, but within no time the score had reached 47 runs in 4 overs.

In the fourth T20, the Indian team has been able to score only 167 runs while playing first. At one time the Indian batsmen had scored 121 runs at the loss of 2 wickets, but after that wickets kept falling rapidly. Australia, playing first, scored 186 runs in the third T20 match. Tim David thrashed the Indian bowlers by playing a stormy inning of 74 runs. Apart from him, Marcus Stoinis also scored 64 runs in the death overs. Arshdeep Singh was the most successful bowler for the Indian team, who took 3 wickets. Varun Chakraborty once again proved to be an effective bowler, taking two wickets.
