Large scale elections are to be held across the country in the year 2026. Assembly elections will be held in important states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Assam and West Bengal. Apart from this, elections are also to be held on 75 seats of Rajya Sabha. The seats of the Upper House will become vacant in April, June and November 2026, which may see a change in the balance of power between the NDA and the India Bloc. In the upcoming elections, 5 Rajya Sabha seats from Bihar and 10 seats from Uttar Pradesh will be vacant. Apart from this, seats will also be vacant in Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and many north-eastern states.

Crisis on return of these big leaders
Senior leaders whose tenure is ending in 2026 include Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, Digvijay Singh, Sharad Pawar and Union ministers Hardeep Singh Puri, BL Verma, Ravneet Singh Bittu and George Kurien. The political future of these leaders is uncertain, as it remains to be seen whether they will return to Parliament or will be replaced by new faces.

5 seats of Bihar in Rajya Sabha will become vacant in April and 7 more seats of Maharashtra will become vacant in November 2026. Additional seats will also be vacant in Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. This period is a concentrated phase of changes in the Upper House, which will affect several states simultaneously.

10 seats of UP will be vacant
10 seats in Uttar Pradesh are also going to become vacant by November 2026. The tenure of the members of Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh will also end in the same period, due to which the scope of change will increase even further.

Currently NDA has 129 seats in Rajya Sabha, while the opposition has 78 seats. The 2026 elections may prove to be an important contest, which may change the balance of power in the Upper House and may also influence the party’s strategies in the future.

The tenure of these leaders will end in Bihar
5 Rajya Sabha seats will become vacant in Bihar on April 9 and elections are likely to be held by March. The leaders whose tenure is ending include RJD’s Prem Chand Gupta and Amarendra Dhari Singh, JDU’s Harivansh Narayan Singh and Union Minister Ramnath Thakur, besides Upendra Kushwaha of Rashtriya Lok Morcha.

The exit polls that came after the voting for Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 have created a tremendous stir in the politics of the state. This time the trend of results does not seem to be leaning towards any one side. While some surveys are giving a slight lead to the NDA, many agencies are telling the Grand Alliance (INDIA Bloc) to be near the threshold of power. Now the entire state is waiting for the results to come on 14th November.

The figures of news channels and survey agencies are very interesting this time. In some exit polls, the grand alliance led by Tejashwi Yadav seems to be reaching more than 130 seats, while the NDA is in the range of a little above 100. In other surveys, the contest is so close that both the alliances are seen almost equal on the majority line of 122 seats. Overall, according to the average data of four major survey agencies, the Grand Alliance is seen getting 120–130 seats, while the NDA is seen getting 110–120 seats.

TV live exit poll big relief for Tejashwi Yadav

The most talked about TV Live Exit Poll has given good news for the Grand Alliance this time. According to the survey, Grand Alliance may get 130 to 144 seats, while NDA is said to get between 95 to 109 seats. If this estimate proves correct then the return of Tejashwi Yadav to power in Bihar is considered almost certain.

Journo Mirror Survey: Public in mood for change

Journo Mirror Exit Poll figures also present almost the same picture. Here also the Grand Alliance looks strong on 130–140 seats, while the NDA is limited between 100–110 seats. This trend of two major agencies shows that the people of the state seem to be in a mood for change this time.

Opinion polls are evenly contested, suspense continues

Janmat exit poll has made the contest more interesting. In this survey, NDA has been shown between 113-125 seats and Grand Alliance between 111-123 seats. This situation shows that both the alliances are almost equal on the majority line of 122 seats. A small vote difference can completely change the direction of power.

News Pinch AI Survey Slight lead for NDA

News Pinch AI Politics Survey has made the election battle of Bihar more complicated. Here NDA is expected to get 121 seats and Grand Alliance is expected to get 119 seats. That means this is a photo-finish match, in which even minor changes can reverse the results.

Indication of repeat of situation like 2020

Political experts say that almost the same picture was seen in the year 2020 also. Even then the exit polls had given lead to the Grand Alliance, but in the final results NDA had formed the government with a very small margin. This time also the same suspense continues. Will history be repeated, or will change of power begin in Bihar?

Political activity intensifies before the results

Political turmoil has intensified in Patna, Darbhanga, Bhagalpur and Gaya. Strategic meetings are going on in the alliance offices and the candidates are in touch with supporters in their respective areas. Before the counting of votes, every party is claiming victory, but the real picture will become clear only on November 14.

Many surveys have been conducted so far regarding Bihar Assembly elections 2025. The attitude of Phalodi Satta Bazaar of Rajasthan, which places bets on victory or defeat in elections, has also come to light. Speculators of Phalodi betting market believe that this time also NDA government can be formed in Bihar. According to the latest predictions of the speculative market, the NDA alliance is likely to get 135-138 seats, which is much more than the election survey.

On the other hand, if we talk about the grand alliance, according to speculators they can get only 93 to 96 seats. However, the bookies of Phalodi betting market have not issued any opinion regarding the victory or defeat of any individual candidate.

Grand alliance has lead in Vote Vibe survey
Earlier in the survey of Vote Vibe, the Grand Alliance was said to be ahead. When people were asked in Bihar which alliance would win this time, 34.7 percent people said that the Grand Alliance would win. At the same time, 34.4 percent people said that this time also the NDA alliance will win. 12.3 percent people said that Jan Suraj would win. 10.1 percent people said that they could not say anything.

What did the founder of Vote Vibe tell?
Vote Vibe founder Amitabh Tiwari said while talking to a channel that this time triangular elections are being held because of Jan Suraj. There is still doubt about whose party Prashant Kishore will get more votes. He also told that the grand alliance seems to be getting some benefit from Tejashwi Yadav’s promise of government job in every house. He also said that this time the entry of Prashant Kishore in Bihar elections has completely turned it into a triangular contest. In such a situation, a state of confusion is being seen among the people.

Now only a few days are left for Bihar Assembly elections. In such a situation, the round of allegations and counter-allegations has also intensified. Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, while talking to news agency ANI on Sunday (October 26, 2025), fiercely targeted the Grand Alliance and especially RJD.

He said that even in the Lok Sabha elections, the leaders of the Grand Alliance had tried to mislead the public. Then he told the voters that the Constitution was in danger. Somewhere it had an impact on the elections, hence NDA’s seats reduced. These people are trying to create the same kind of atmosphere again.

What will happen if the Grand Alliance government is formed?

He further said that if by mistake the Grand Alliance government is formed then these people will make excuses that there is no money to do the work. What should we do if they (NDA government) have spent all the money? The minds of these people are full of dishonesty.

‘Donkeys and dogs were seen on the bed’

Taking aim at Tejashwi Yadav, Manjhi said that during the rule of his father (Lalu Yadav), donkeys and dogs were seen on the beds in the government hospital. Today, hundreds of patients are treated daily in those hospitals. His father (Lalu Yadav) did not do any work for Bihar after being in power for 15 years. Tell us how many medical colleges he built and how many technical colleges he built.

‘These people are doing politics of appeasement’

Manjhi said that Bihar has come on track under Nitish government and today everyone is moving forward. Despite this, these people are doing politics of appeasement. These people are tricking the Muslims, while everyone in the country is getting the food grains, are the Muslims not getting it? Similarly, everyone is getting the benefits of all the schemes equally.

He further said that now no one will believe whatever Tejashwi Yadav is saying and doing. On the question asked about Waqf, Manjhi said that these people had also torn the Women’s Reservation Bill in the Parliament. Even after these people created so much ruckus regarding triple talaq, that law was made.

Now only a few days are left for Bihar Assembly elections 2025. On one hand, BJP is releasing the list of candidates one after the other. At the same time, the clash over seat sharing is going on between Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), which are part of the Grand Alliance. The parties in NDA are taking a dig about this. After Union Minister Chirag Paswan, now Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has targeted the Grand Alliance.

While talking to news agency ANI on Tuesday (October 21, 2205), Jitan Ram Manjhi said that the people in Congress and RJD or the Grand Alliance are all for their personal interests, so wherever personal interests are concerned, it is natural to have differences of opinion. Raising the question, Manjhi said that now they (Grand Alliance) are saying that they are having friendly competition on many seats, can this also happen?

‘If given a chance, we will also interfere in government formation’
On the question of friendly competition between RJD and Congress, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi said that the public will answer this in the elections. If you cannot remain united in the alliance, then even if you get a chance, you will interfere in forming the government. You will form a government today and it will break tomorrow.

‘Unless there is a stable government, development is not possible’
Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) party chief Manjhi said that unless there is a stable government, no state or country will develop. This is possible only with NDA. Therefore, NDA government will be formed in the state and the state will be served. He further said that the double engine government is for public service, state service, maintaining law and order and removing unemployment in the state, but they (leaders of the grand alliance) are contesting elections only to get power.

Bihar assembly elections are now near. This time a very close fight is being seen between NDA and India Bloc. Talking to a news channel about this, senior journalist Ajit Dwivedi said that right now the BJP-JDU alliance seems to be benefiting and there are many reasons for it. He said that governments are losing very little these days. If we look at it, in a way, a phase of pro-incumbency is going on, the reason for this is due to various schemes.

He said that due to this reason NDA has an advantage and India Block is still laxing all these things. He further said that Tejashwi Yadav is on one side, the Grand Alliance is on the other. At the same time, Nitish Kumar is transferring money to banks today. People are trusting him because the money is coming in today’s date. Tejashwi Yadav is promising jobs for every household.

How is pro-incumbency in Bihar?
Regarding pro-incumbency, he said that one factor is that he sent Rs 10,000 to the accounts of women. These have come to his account just before Diwali. All such schemes have always been game changers. Giving examples, he said that whether it is Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s Ladli Brahmin Yojana, Eknath Shinde’s Manjhi Ladki Behan Yojana, Mahtari Bandhan Yojana in Chhattisgarh or Maiya Samman Yojana of Jharkhand government last year. Such schemes have proven to be game changers.

Example given from Madhya Pradesh
He told that in 2018 we covered elections in Madhya Pradesh. At that time Rahul Gandhi was campaigning in the most aggressive manner. He was contesting elections at that time by giving the slogan of Chowkidar Chor Hai. At that time, Shivraj Singh Chouhan was the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for 12 years and BJP was in government for 15 years. Even though people there criticized Shivraj Singh Chouhan, there was no anger that they wanted to oust him. Congress won there after 15 years, but even then Congress got only 114 seats out of 230 and even then BJP lost 109 seats. We are seeing exactly the same kind of environment in Bihar.

Senior journalist said that there is no such anger against Nitish Kumar that he has to be uprooted. This plan will be useful in removing the slight boredom that people have, seeing them for the last 20 years. If there was a lot of anger among the people against Nitish, there was a feeling of uprooting him, then these things would not have worked.

Now only a few days are left for Bihar Assembly elections 2025. In such a situation, many surveys have come out so far regarding the elections. The latest survey of C-Voter has come out regarding the candidate for the post of CM in Bihar, in which till now RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav is at the forefront.

In the latest survey conducted by C-Voter in the month of October, 36.2 percent people have given their support to Tejashwi Yadav, while only 15.9 percent people have considered the current Chief Minister Nitish Kumar worthy of the post of CM again.

Prashant Kishore is most popular in Bihar these days
Jan Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishore is most popular in Bihar these days. After Tejashwi, PK has got the highest support of 23.2 percent people, who want to make him the Chief Minister of Bihar this time. 8.8 percent people have expressed their trust on Chirag Paswan and 7.8 percent people have expressed their trust on Samrat Chaudhary.

When people were asked about the lead in Bihar elections, 40.2 percent people supported the NDA, while 38.3 percent people said that the Grand Alliance had the lead. 13.3% people have said that the newly formed party Jan Suraj will have the lead. At the same time, 8.2 percent people said that they cannot say anything.

What did the founder of C Voter tell?
While talking to a news channel, C Voter founder Yashwant Deshmukh said that if we look at the Chief Ministerial candidate, Prashant Kishore has gradually made his place in the last one year and his graph is continuously moving upwards. He has emerged as an X factor in Bihar. This cannot be denied.

What was said about Grand Alliance and NDA
Regarding NDA and India Block, he said that there is a close contest between the two, because the gap in votes between the two is not much. In the last assembly elections, the vote share of both (37-37 percent) was almost equal. This time 2 percent more people are seen in favor of NDA.

In the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, now there are only a few months left. In such a situation, all political parties have given their full strength. Explain that Bihar has a total of 243 seats in Bihar and there should be a majority in 122 seats to form the government. Meanwhile, a shocking new survey has come out.

In the latest opinion poll of Times Now and JVC, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar is likely to get seats between 130 and 150, while the BJP can get 66 to 77 seats alone on its own.

Which number of Nitish’s party
According to the latest survey, Nitish’s Janata Dal United (JDU) is expected to get 52 to 58 seats. Apart from this, other NDA allies are expected to get 13-15 seats. At the same time, if we talk about the grand alliance led by Tejashwi, then this time it can get 81 to 103 seats. At the same time, Lalu’s RJD can win 57 to 71 seats on its own, while the Congress is expected to get 11-14 seats. Other colleagues of India block can get 13 to 18 seats.

People can do very amazing
For the first time in the Bihar assembly elections, Prashant Kishore’s party Jan Suraj can show great amazing. According to the survey, the party can win 4-6 seats, while Owaisi’s AIMIM, Mayawati’s BSP and others together can win 5-6 seats. Surprisingly, the graph of AIMIM, who won 5 seats in the 2020 assembly elections, is seen rolling this time.

Even though the main election contest in Bihar is between the NDA and the India block, this time the entry of PK has made the election of Bihar quite interesting. This time Prashant Kishore is seen in the role of King Maker.

In Bihar Assembly Election 2025, now only a few months are left. In such a situation, all political parties have given their full strength. Meanwhile, a survey of vote vibe has come out, in which Jan Suraj is seen getting a lot of support.

When questions were asked about voting from people in Bihar, 36.2 percent have asked to vote for the NDA, while the Grand Alliance seems to be getting a little less than that, ie 35.8 percent votes. It is clear that a thorn collision is being seen between the two.

For the first time, Jan Suraj came out in the election
According to the survey, when people were asked to vote for Prashant Kishore’s Jansuraj Party, 8.7 percent people replied yes, while others are getting the support of 12.8 percent people. At the same time, 6.5 percent people said that they cannot tell which party they will vote.

Vote Vibe founder Amitabh Tiwari said that in a conversation with a channel, about 9 percent of the votes being received by Prashant Kishore’s party, he said that he will cause the most damage to others, because about 20 percent of the vote banks in Bihar are from other parties. He further informed that like last time, this time also the vote share of NDA alliance and India block is almost bean. There is no possibility of much upset in it, so it is clear that Prashant Kishore’s Jan Suraj Party will cut the vote of others this time.

What did Vibe’s founder tell
He told that according to the last election, there is NDA number one party in Bihar and India is the second all alliance according to the votes. Muslims and Yadavs are seen going into the gathering of the grand alliance this time as before, while other backward society except the upper cast, Mahadalit and Yadavs is seen in favor of the NDA. Tiwari said that in such a situation, a big vote bank of the other parties that is seen, this time, it seems to be slipping towards Jansuraj. This is the reason that Prashant Kishore’s party, who is contesting for the first time, seems to get about 9 percent of the votes.

Hyderabad MP and AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi said on Saturday (6 September 2025) that his party would support India Block candidate B Sudarshan Reddy in the Vice Presidential election to be held on 9 September.

Owaisi posted on X and said that I was talked to today by Telangana CMO and an appeal was made to support Justice Sudarshan Reddy for the post of Vice President. He said that our party will support Justice Reddy, who has also been a Hyderabadi and respected judge. I also talked to Justice Reddy and greeted him.

Former Supreme Court Judge B.K. Sudarshan Reddy was declared a candidate of joint opposition parties for the Vice Presidential election on August 19. This process has been described as an ideological battle by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.

Kharge told Reddy supporters

While presenting Reddy as a poor-supporter and advocate of economic and social interests, Kharge said that he represents the values that reflect our freedom struggle and on which our constitution and democracy are based. He said that these values are being attacked today and that is why the opposition has decided to fight this ideological fight unitedly.

Who is B. Sudarshan Reddy

B. Sudarshan Reddy has practiced in Andhra Pradesh and has also worked as the Chief Justice of the Guwahati High Court. He was appointed a judge of the Supreme Court in January 2007 and retired in July 2011.

Who made NDA candidate

Maharashtra Governor C.P. The name of Radhakrishnan was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President J.P. Nadda did the Vice Presidential candidate on 12 August. The election for the post of Vice President became necessary due to the sudden resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar, who left the post citing health reasons.
