India UAE Defense Deal: The short but high profile visit of UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to India has once again brought India’s growing influence in West Asia into the spotlight. During this short visit, India and UAE have confirmed their rapidly growing strategic partnership. This includes cooperation in defence, security and trade. With this, a target of bilateral trade of 200 million dollars has been set in the next 6 years. Meanwhile, let us know whether India has also signed a defense deal with UAE like Pakistan-Saudi Arabia.

what is pakistan saudi arabia defense agreement

In September 2025, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signed a strategic mutual defense agreement. This greatly strengthened their military alliance. The most important clause of this agreement is that any attack on one country will be considered an attack on another country. This agreement mainly focuses on tight security. This includes intelligence sharing, joint military training, defense production and strategic coordination.

india uae defense agreement

India’s defense partnership with the UAE is fundamentally different in nature and intent. India and UAE have signed a letter of intent for a strategic security partnership. But let us tell you that this is not a mutual defense treaty. There is no clause in it that forces India to intervene militarily if UAE is attacked. Instead this agreement has been designed as a long-term strategic and industrial partnership.

There is no Article 5 clause in India UAE agreement

The most important difference is the absence of collective security obligations. Unlike the Pakistan-Saudi agreement, the India-UAE agreement does not say that an attack on one will be considered an attack on the other. This is in line with India’s long-standing foreign policy principle of strategic autonomy.

Another big difference is that India-UAE defense partnership is linked to economic and technological goals. Along with defense cooperation, both the countries have targeted to increase trade to 200 million dollars by 2032. Joint defense manufacturing, startups in military technology and dual-use innovations are seen as engines of growth. This is exactly the opposite of the Pakistan-Saudi agreement. Because that agreement focuses more on military and security objectives.

Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit: On Monday (October 13) at the Sharm Al Sheikh Peace Conference in Egypt, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the entire credit for stopping the war between India and Pakistan goes to US President Donald Trump. This statement came at a time when a cordial atmosphere was seen between Sharif and Trump on the stage. The world saw India’s diplomacy.

US President Donald Trump, who has proposed the Gaza peace plan, is a co-organizer of the conference. Along with him, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi is also a co-organizer. Earlier in the day, Trump addressed the Israeli Parliament, where he praised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and issued a stern warning to Hamas against violence.

PM Modi welcomed Gaza ceasefire

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was invited to the Egypt summit, but sent Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh. Welcoming the ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages, Modi wrote on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), ‘We welcome the release of all the hostages who have been held captive for more than two years. It is a symbol of the courage of their families, President Trump’s tireless peace efforts and Prime Minister Netanyahu’s determination. We support President Trump’s sincere efforts to bring peace to the region.

Leaders of more than 20 countries attended the conference

According to the Egyptian Presidential Office, leaders of at least 20 countries are participating in the Sharm el-Sheikh peace conference. Congress MP and former diplomat Shashi Tharoor posted on X and raised the question, ‘Is this strategic restraint or a lost opportunity?’ Shashi Tharoor clarified that this is not a question on the qualifications of Kirti Vardhan Singh, but this level of representation of India in the presence of such big leaders may indicate “strategic distance”, which does not match with India’s statements.

He further said, ‘Even if seen only from the protocol point of view, India’s voice will not be as effective as it could have been. When the region is reshaping itself, our absence is shocking.

Prominent leaders attending the summit

This conference includes Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who along with Trump played a role in starting the peace process. Apart from this, Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas is also participating, while Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu did not participate.

French President Emmanuel Macron, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, European Council President Antonio Costa, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Ghaith and Jordan’s King Abdullah II. Along with this, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia Al Sudani were also present.

External Affairs Minister S.K. Jaishankar has given an important statement. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always seen the Indo-US partnership with seriousness and importance. Jaishankar’s statement came at a time when US President Donald Trump made a positive statement on Indo-US relations.

Jaishankar said that personal relations between Prime Minister Modi and Trump have always been better. He said, “Prime Minister Modi is very serious about our relationship and making a strong partnership with the US is included in his priorities. The Prime Minister’s personal equation with President Trump has always been good. As far as our foreign policy is concerned, we are constantly constantly connecting with America. At the moment I cannot say anything more than this, but I would definitely say that dialogue and cooperation between the two countries continues.”

Importance of Indo-America Relations

It is clear from this statement of the Foreign Minister that India sees relations with America not only from political point of view but also from strategic and economic cooperation. Indo-US partnership in many fields like defense, trade, energy, technology and education has strengthened over the years. Especially in the Indo-Pacific sector, the cooperation of the two countries is also considered important for balanced by China’s increasing activism.

Trump and PM Modi have good relations

Prime Minister Modi and Donald Trump have good personal relations. Both leaders have praised each other many times. Houston’s ‘Howdy Modi’ program and Ahmedabad’s ‘Namaste Trump’ program became a symbol of the strength of Indo-US relations. Jaishankar’s statement indicates that India is in favor of maintaining relations with not only Trump but also American leadership.

There have been differences between India and America on issues like trade and tariffs. Apart from this, challenges have also been reported many times in visa policies and defense deals. Despite this, the importance of strategic partnership between the two countries has not diminished. The Foreign Minister made it clear that the relationship with America is given top priority in India’s foreign policy.

Saarc replacement: In the politics of South Asia, there are signs of major changes once again. The South Asian Regional Cooperation Association (SAARC), which has been inactive due to long -term snow between India and Pakistan, is now being planned to be left behind. Pakistan, China and Bangladesh are now actively working towards the formation of a new regional organization. This organization can become an alternative to SAARC, which is trying to give a new look to regional trade, contact and strategic coordination. According to the report of the Pakistani newspaper Express Tribune, the recent conversation between the three countries has made significant progress in this direction.

Kunming meeting became the foundation of new initiative
On June 19, a tripartite meeting was held between representatives of Pakistan, China and Bangladesh in Kunming city of China. It is considered to be the first solid strategic attempt of this new diplomatic initiative. It was told that in the meeting, it was considered to invite other former SAARC member countries.

Bangladesh refused to talk about ‘coalition’
However, Bangladesh’s Foreign Affairs advisor M Touheed Hussain dismissed the idea that the meeting was only at a formal level and there was no aspect related to any political or coalition. He clarified that “we are not forming an alliance.”

Other countries including India can be sent invitation
According to the report, China and Pakistan are planning to propose to include India in this new group. Apart from this, countries like Sri Lanka, Maldives and Afghanistan can also be invited to join this regional platform. This platform will focus on increasing trade and contact.

SAARC’s inaction became the reason for the new initiative
Significantly, the final conference of SAARC was held in Kathmandu in 2014, while the 2016 conference was canceled due to Uri terrorist attack. India refused to join it, citing the “current situation” and then Bangladesh, Bhutan and Afghanistan also boycotted the conference, which stalled the organization.

PM modi in canada for g7: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Calgary, Canada. Here he will attend the 51st G7 summit. This tour is happening at a time when tension between Iran and Israel is increasing in the world. Earlier, the Prime Minister completed the visit to Cyprus, where he interacted in detail with Cyprus President Nicos Christodulides. There was a discussion on strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Ministry of External Affairs described the visit as “memorable” on the social media platform X and PM Modi also thanked the President of Cyprus and the people there for the warm and brilliant hosting of the people there. Prime Minister Modi is on a tour of three days of four days, including Cyprus, Canada and Croatia. After the G7 Summit, his next stop will be Croatia.

G7 Summit to be held in Kananaskis, Alberta province
This time the G7 summit is being held in Kananaskis, Alberta province, Canada. This event is being held at a time when the world has openly landed in the battlefield against each other. This meeting is considered to be very important in the backdrop of the increasing confrontation between Israel and Iran and the backdrop of the Russia-Ukraine War.

Possibility of bilateral conversation with Canadian PM
Bilateral meetings are scheduled from Prime Minister Modi’s many other G7 and leaders of invited countries including Prime Minister Modi’s Prime Minister Mark Carney. Carney inviting Modi to the G7 summit is an indication that the new government of Canada intends to improve relations with India, which became very stressful after the murder of Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

PM Modi will not be able to meet Trump?
US President Donald Trump will leave the summit in the middle and return to America. The White House said on Tuesday morning that Trump has taken this decision due to tension in the middle East. White House Press Secretary Caroline Lewitt said on Monday that US President Donald Trump would leave the G-7 summit on Monday night a day before due to increasing tension in the Middle East. In such a situation, the chances of Trump’s meeting with PM Modi are very less.

Global issues will be discussed
The Ministry of External Affairs had earlier informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would discuss important global issues like energy security, technology and innovation, AI and energy coordination and quantum technology with heads of G7 countries, invited countries and international organizations.

PM Modi’s address at G7 summit
Prime Minister Modi will take part in the G7 Outrich Summit to be held on Tuesday afternoon and will share his views there. The focus of this summit will be on three major topics:

Security of communities worldwide

Energy security and digital change intensifying

Make the future partnerships secure

PM Modi first foreign tour after Operation Sindoor
This summit is the first multilateral presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which is taking place after the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’, the anti -terrorism campaign in Pakistan in May.

Leaders of Ukraine and Mexico will also be involved
Ukraine President Volodimir Zelanski will also attend this summit as guest leaders. Ukraine and Mexico are also not members of G-7, but the President of the two countries have been invited to participate in the summit this time.

Israel Iran War: Maulana Shahabuddin Rajvi Barelvi, the national president of All India Muslim Jamaat, reacted sharply to the ongoing tension between Israel and Iran on Saturday. Describing Israel as the biggest ‘terror and violence’ country of this whole struggle, he demanded international forums to declare it a ‘terrorist nation’.

Maulana Rajvi said that the entire history of Israel is full of oppression and atrocities on Muslims. Referring to the frequent attacks on Palestine, he said that the Jews, who were once sheltered by the Muslims of Palestine, have been sheltered by Hitler’s torture, today they are destroying the houses of the same Muslims. He said that children, women and elders are being murdered, but the whole world is silent even after seeing this barbarity.

Nobody could ever erase Islam
Citing history, Rajvi said that the struggle of Islam has never been with Hindus, Buddhists or followers of any other religion. Islam has always taken a front against the oppressive forces of Jewish and Christian power and the same conflict continues today. He insisted that Islam was neither suppressed, nor will it be suppressed today. He said, “Islam was maintained even at a time when Israel had no existence. Even robbers like Genghis Khan could not erase Islam.”

Talking about India’s role, Maulana said that India has cordial relations with Iran, Israel and Palestine. In such a situation, India should advocate peace globally instead of standing with one side. He urged India to adopt the path of negotiation and reconciliation instead of war.

Iran can stand with Saudi Arabia in future!
Talking about the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Iran, he said that there was tension between the two countries for more than a decade, but now the circumstances are changing. The tension arising out of the arrest of a Shia religious leader is now over. That religious leader was released by Saudi Arabia and both countries have restored mutual relations. He said that Saudi and Iranian ministers have traveled to each other’s countries and special arrangements were made for Iranian pilgrims during the Haj this year. This is an indication that Saudi Arabia may stand with Iran in future.

Describing the need to take steps against Israeli globally, Rajvi said that the United Nations has passed several resolutions and the International Court of Court (ICJ) has also issued an arrest warrant against the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but had no effect. He said that it is clear from this that now the credibility and influence of global institutions is in danger. He asked the sharp question and said- “When the law, proposal and judicial orders also fail to stop Netanyahu, should the world be silent?”

After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, relations between India and Pakistan have deteriorated considerably. India demolished 9 terrorist bases located in Pakistan and PoK with missiles to respond to this terrorist attack. India has named this retaliation as Operation Sindoor, after this action, there was also military conflict between the two countries, which is currently calm after the ceasefire.

Now India has chosen 7 all party delegation to highlight the face of Pakistan’s terror all over the world. The 7 groups with 59 members include 51 MPs and 8 ambassadors, who will visit the major countries of the world, especially the UN Security Council member countries and expose the face of Pakistan.

Pakistan also made its delegation

After India’s delegation, news is coming that delegation has also been made by Pakistan. This delegation of Pakistan will be led by Bilawal Bhutto. Let us tell you that Bilawal Bhutto has been a former foreign minister of Pakistan. This decision of Pakistan has come shortly after the announcement of India’s delegation. Giving information about this, Bhutto wrote on his social media account X that ‘he was asked by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to lead this delegation’. Bhutto further said that I am feeling very honored by accepting this responsibility, I am committed to serve Pakistan in this difficult time.

Who is involved in Pakistan’s delegation team

No official statement has yet come from Pakistan in this case, at present it is being speculated that the Pakistan delegation team may include former Deputy Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, former Defense Minister Khurram Dastagir Khan, former Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani. Apart from this, it is also reported that former US Ambassador to Pakistan, Tariq Fatimi can be sent to Russia. According to media reports, the delegation led by Bhutto will go to Europe and will give information about the tension of India and Pakistan recently. Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, who is also the Foreign Minister, has told that this delegation will be sent to some important countries. Dar told the media that Pakistan’s diplomatic access would extend to the US, Britain, Belgium, France and Russia and the situation in Islamabad will be highlighted on recent enmity.

Everyone’s support, the formula of Sabka Vikas also applies equally to foreign policy.

Good relations with all countries of India
Unlike Western countries, India has not favored any one country in the Ukraine-Russia war. PM Modi also visited Russia in the last year and also of Ukraine. Similarly, India has been fair in the differences between Israel and Iran. India has balanced its strategic relations with both countries. For India, Israel is a major source for defense techniques and equipment, while it is dependent on Iran for crude oil. In any struggle to be held around the world, India’s efforts have been to restore peace by interacting with both sides.

The attitude of looking at conflicts is different
Jaishankar said that the relationship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi with leaders around the world makes a lot clear. India’s attitude towards political changes around the world also takes direction under this. Jaishankar also said that India looked at the Russia-Ukraine war, its reasons and its broad environment from a very clear perspective and decided to take its stand towards it, while many other countries were emotionally swept away in this matter.
