World leaders are competing to take credit for the ceasefire between India and Pakistan after Operation Sindoor. After US President Trump, China has now entered this fight for credit. Although India has right from the beginning denied any such mediation by any third party, Pakistan starts singing praises of any country which forcefully sticks its nose in the ceasefire.

Pakistan came out in support of China on ceasefire

Recently, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi took credit for bringing peace in many tense areas including India-Pakistan and Cambodia-Thailand. India rejected it outright, but Pakistan again stood in support of China. Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said that he supports China’s stand.

Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesperson said, ‘China’s leadership was in constant touch with Pakistan. Between May 6 and May 10, and perhaps even before that, China had frequent contacts with the Indian leadership. China’s diplomatic talks helped in reducing tension and bringing peace. I am sure that China’s view about mediation is right.

China’s statement on India-Pakistan ceasefire

Speaking at a symposium on China’s foreign relations, Foreign Minister Wang Yi said: “This year, local hostilities and cross-border conflicts have erupted more frequently than at any other time since the end of World War II. There was geopolitical turmoil. To maintain lasting peace, we have adopted a purposeful approach and focused on addressing both the symptoms and the root causes.

He further said, ‘Adopting this Chinese way of resolving hotspot issues, we mediated in Northern Myanmar, Iranian nuclear issue, tensions between Pakistan and India, issues between Palestine and Israel and the recent spat between Cambodia and Thailand.’

India’s response to China’s claim

Rejecting China’s claim, India bluntly said that no third party was involved in the ceasefire decision. India said that the ceasefire with Pakistan was agreed upon after talks between the DGMOs of the two countries.

America’s big think tank Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) has warned that after Operation Sindoor, there could be another war between India and Pakistan in the year 2026. The report claims that due to increase in terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir, there is a possibility of war between the two countries. According to Indian intelligence agency, more than 30 Pakistani terrorists are active in Jammu region in this winter.

American think tank’s claim regarding India-Pakistan war

CFR said that if there is a war between India and Pakistan, it can affect America as well. India had launched Operation Sindoor on 7 May 2025 in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack on 22 April. Under this, the Indian Army targeted the hideouts of terrorists in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). After this, the Indian Air Force (IAF) also wreaked havoc on the Pakistani army which had come to help the terrorists. IAF destroyed many airbases of Pakistani Air Force.

India is increasing its stockpile of weapons

However, there has been no major terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir since Operation Sindoor. Currently, ceasefire is going on between the two countries and in such a situation, India is further strengthening its weapons arsenal. The Defense Ministry has approved the purchase of various ammunition and military equipment including missiles, rockets and drones worth Rs 79 thousand crore for the three forces. These include Loitering Munition and Pinaka Rocket for the Army and Astra Missile and Spice-1000 Bomb for the Air Force. Approval has also been given to lease additional High Altitude Long Range (HALE) Remotely Piloted Aircraft System for the Navy.

‘Pakistan-Afghanistan war also possible next year’

After the huge losses suffered after Operation Sindoor, Pakistan has also started talks with Turkey and China for the purchase of new drones and air defense systems. The report has also expressed the possibility of conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan in the year 2026. However, this will not affect American interests. In October this year, there was a fierce clash between Pakistan and Taliban on the 2600 km long Durand Line. The armies of both the countries fired in each other’s areas and claimed to destroy the posts. Since then there has been a rift in diplomatic relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The CFR report is based on a survey of American foreign policy experts. It includes former diplomats, military officers, professors and policy experts. Its purpose is to make American policy-makers aware of those areas of the world where wars may break out in the future.

When India launched Operation Sindoor against the Pahalgam terrorist attack, Pakistan’s weapons fell short. Although the outcome of this conflict was ceasefire, Pakistan suffered a major defeat. Now after 7 months, a shocking report from the Pentagon has come out. It has been revealed that India fought not only with Pakistan but also with China, because China had helped Pakistan on its backhand.

China helped Pakistan in three big ways

China adopted a ‘grey-zone’ strategy, in which Pakistan kept fighting from the front and China kept pressurizing India from behind through intelligence, cyber attacks, information and diplomatic means. This is a new model, where China was trying to weaken India through Pakistan without directly getting involved in the war.

Intelligence Support: China provided real-time monitoring of India to Pakistan through its satellite coverage and electronic surveillance, which enabled Pakistan to do better targeting and operational coordination.

Information Warfare: China ran online campaigns in which India’s allegations were blurred, Delhi’s claims were questioned and Pakistan’s narrative was spread internationally.

Cyber Activity and Diplomatic Maneuvering: Cyber attacks and diplomatic methods prevented the conflict from escalating, but maintained pressure on India.

To help Pakistan, China did not field the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) directly, but helped from behind, so that it could easily deny to the world that it was not involved in it.

Why did China adopt a new war strategy?

According to the Pentagon report, China considers India as its main strategic challenge. Uses Pakistan as a ‘pressure valve’ so that India cannot increase defense cooperation with America and remains always busy. China considered Operation Sindoor a test case of its ‘grey-zone’ strategy, where cyber, economic coercion, information warfare and proxy destabilization come first.

China had made a big move against India

The report said that the disengagement agreement between India and China on LAC in October 2024 was also temporary, so that India does not come closer to America. Experts believe that this disclosure is a new challenge for India. Now India will have to be prepared not only for the threat from Pakistan but also for the joint ‘hybrid’ threat from China and Pakistan.

What happened in Operation Sindoor?

Operation Sindoor was a 4-day conflict that lasted from 7 May 2025 to 10 May 2025. On April 22, 2025, 26 civilians were killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, after which India launched missile and air strikes on 9 terrorist targets in Pakistan. India said it was to target terrorist infrastructure, while Pakistan called it an attack on civilian areas. There were air and missile attacks from both sides in the conflict, but India had taken a decisive lead.

In a few days, the year 2025 will have said goodbye to all of us. But behind this it will give good and bad memories happening all over the world. In this connection, we are telling about those conflicts in the world which turned into terrible wars. These wars changed the security dynamics of many areas of the world. Similarly, we are telling about five big battles, which have left a deep impression in the mutual conflict between two countries.

India’s Operation Sindoor against Pakistan
In the beginning of May 2025, tension suddenly increased between two neighboring countries of the world. During this time, India carried out Operation Sindoor and carried out missile attacks on 7 May. This attack was a revenge for the terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22. Terrorists had killed 26 people in the Pahalgam attack. Adopting a zero tolerance strategy against the Terror Act, this operation targeted the hideouts of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba located in Murid. Both these places were within the border of Pakistan. Pakistan also responded to India’s action, military level talks continued for four days and ceasefire was imposed on 10 May.

war between israel and iran
It is about 13 June 2025, on this day Israel started a major military operation against Iran. In this, nuclear-military bases and government infrastructure were attacked. The attack took place after almost two years of conflict between Israel and fundamentalist groups in Iran. Both the countries had come into direct conflict. America entered this fight. It targeted those sites of Iran’s nuclear program, which Israel was not able to destroy. On June 24, there was a ceasefire between the two. This fight lasted for 12 days.

conflict between afghanistan and pakistan
At the end of the year, in the month of October, there was tension between Afghanistan and Pakistan. This war started with Pakistan carrying out an airstrike targeting Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan leader Noor Wali Mehsud in Kabul. This strike took place after TTP attack on Pakistani soldiers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. After this attack, Afghanistan also retaliated. In this, 23 Pakistani soldiers were killed, nine Afghan soldiers lost their lives. Pakistan accused TTP of allowing it to operate from Afghan territory. However, Afghanistan rejected this. Both countries are currently ready for ceasefire, but tension between the two countries can increase at any time.

DRC-Rwanda conflict and Goma attack
Fighting in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo was seen in January 2025. Because of this, M23 rebels started attacking in Goma in support of Rwandan forces. This operation began on January 23 and ended on January 27 after the capture of Goma, the capital of North Kivu region. This fighting continued till the end of the month. A peace agreement was reached between the two countries with the mediation of America. But tensions and clashes still persist.

Thailand-Cambodia clash with weapons
On July 24, 2025, the world saw another big fight. This time there were two countries, Thailand and Cambodia. A clash with weapons was seen between the two. The issue of fight was regarding the old temple complex. By July 27, this fighting spread to 12 places. There were 38 deaths in this. 3 lakh people were rendered homeless. After this, ASEAN headed by Malaysia demanded immediate ceasefire. UN called an emergency session of the Security Council. After this, after the mediation of Malaysia and diplomatic help from US-China, ceasefire was immediately declared after talks on 28th July.

Pakistan on Sunday (December 7, 2025) met Indian Foreign Minister S. Strongly criticized Jaishankar’s statement in which he had said that the root of many of Pakistan’s problems is its army. Pakistan called this statement provocative, wrong and irresponsible. Jaishankar made this comment during a program organized in New Delhi.

What did Pakistan say?
Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said that Pakistan completely rejects and condemns Jaishankar’s remarks. He said that Pakistan is a responsible nation, and its army and other institutions are strong pillars of the country’s security. Andrabi also accused India of trying to defame Pakistan’s leadership and government institutions.

What did S Jaishankar say?
Jaishankar said at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit that the army in Pakistan supports terrorist groups and many problems arise from there. He also said that just as there are good and bad terrorists, there are good military leaders and some not so good. It is believed that he was referring to Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir.

Pakistan gave a hoot
Andrabi said that during the conflict in May, Pakistan’s army showed that it is capable of responding to any attack in an effective, disciplined and responsible manner. He described it as an example of Pakistan’s defense capability.

Pakistan suffered huge losses during Operation ‘Sindoor’
This controversy has come to light at a time when discussions are going on regarding India’s Operation Sindoor. This operation was started on 7 May. Its objective was to target the terror infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK. This action was taken in response to the Pahalgam attack, in which 26 civilians were killed. After this four-day campaign, on May 10, both countries agreed to stop military activities. According to Indian Air Force Chief AP Singh, at least a dozen Pakistani military aircraft were destroyed or damaged in the attack, including several F-16s.

Former officer of American intelligence agency CIA, John Kiriaku has made a big revelation about Pakistan. He told that former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had pressured him to apologize by sending a letter. This letter was sent after Kiriaku’s statement in which he had assessed the strength of India and Pakistan and claimed India’s victory.

Kiriaku revealed in a podcast with Julian Dore that he was pressurized to apologize to the Pakistanis and was even given death threats. He said that in response to this letter from PTI, he told the party workers that he made toilet paper out of that letter and wiped it and threw it away.

Giving his opinion on the four-day military conflict between India and Pakistan between May 7-10, Kiriaku advised the Pakistanis that they should not provoke India because if there is a war, they will lose.

While talking to news agency ANI last month, he had said, ‘If a real war breaks out between India and Pakistan, it would be very wrong because Pakistan will lose this war. The truth is that they will lose and I am not talking about nuclear war here. I am only talking about war and hence continuously provoking Indians will be of no use.

In the podcast, Kiriaku said that after his statement, PTI Chairman Imran Khan sent him a letter, in which his statement was condemned and he was demanded to immediately apologize to Imran Khan, PTI workers and the people of Pakistan. He said, ‘I said that if there is a war, Pakistan will lose because India’s population is five times more than Pakistan. I can’t count how many death threats I was given. My lawyer told me to be careful, take care of my surroundings. At present, former Chief Minister of Punjab Chaudhary Pervez Ilahi is holding the command of PTI. After Imran Khan went to jail, he is leading the party from March 23, 2023.

Kiriaku said that instead of retracting his statement, he did just the opposite. He ignored his lawyer’s advice to throw away the letter and remain silent and sent a befitting reply to the letter to PTI. He said, ‘My lawyer was saying, throw it away, but I did not throw it away. I sent him an email and wrote in it, regarding your demand for apology, I say that I made toilet paper of your letter and wiped it and threw it away.’ Kiriaku wrote that after this he never received any threat.

US President Donald Trump has once again claimed that during the increasing tension between India and Pakistan, he had talked to the Prime Ministers of both the countries and after that the war-like situation was averted. Trump said this during his recent address.

Trump said, “I am making a trade deal with India. I have an excellent relationship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I respect him a lot and have true affection for him. The Prime Minister of Pakistan is also a good person. He says he has a ‘Field Marshal’, who is a very brave warrior.”

He further said, “I heard that seven aircraft have been shot down in the skirmish between the two countries. Both of them are nuclear powers. I called Prime Minister Modi and said that we cannot do a trade deal with you because you are preparing for war with Pakistan. Then I told the same thing to Pakistan. Both of them said let us fight, but I explained to both of them.”

#WATCH US President Donald Trump says, “I’m doing a trade deal with India, and I have great respect and love for Prime Minister Modi. We have a great relationship. Likewise, the Prime Minister of Pakistan is a great guy. They have a Field Marshal. You know why he’s a Field… pic.twitter.com/ZbxkpSnBl1

Trump said this in a funny tone

Trump further said in a humorous tone, “Prime Minister Modi is one of the smartest and toughest leaders. Tough as hell. But finally, within two days, both countries contacted me and said they understood and the fight stopped. Isn’t that wonderful?” In his speech, Trump took a jibe at current US President Joe Biden and said, “Could Biden have done this? I don’t think so.”

Improvement in India-US relations

Recently, there were three talks between Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. First time to wish PM Modi on his birthday, second time during the discussion on Gaza Agreement and third time on the occasion of Diwali. To maintain this warmth between the two leaders, a solid trade agreement is considered important. The Indian side has said that talks are going on on this, while the American side said that the talks have been fruitful, but consensus has not been reached yet on some major issues.

US President Donald Trump has once again claimed to establish ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Trump, who was on a visit to Japan, said that he stopped the war between two nuclear-rich countries by using tariffs as a weapon. The US President said that seven new and beautiful planes were shot down in this war. However, as always, he did not tell which country’s aircraft were shot down.

Addressing American troops in Japan, Donald Trump said, ‘Our country’s national security and all the wars I stopped were because of tariffs. To be honest, I did a great service to the world through trade and tariffs. If you look at India and Pakistan, they were fighting each other at that time.

Talked to Modi and Pakistan’s Field Marshal: Trump
Trump claimed that he had clearly told Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistan’s military chief, ‘If you guys go to war, we will not do any business with you.’ The US President said that at that time both the nuclear-armed countries were ready to confront each other and ‘seven beautiful new planes were shot down.’ According to Trump, the situation came under control only after his strict warning.

Trump said – ‘I should get the Nobel Peace Prize’
Trump said that he resolved eight major conflicts of the world through tariff policy and he should receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his contribution in stopping the India-Pakistan war. He said, ‘If I had not taken action at that time, a major war could have broken out.’

India rejected Trump’s claim
India has consistently rejected this claim of Donald Trump. The Indian Foreign Ministry has clarified that the decision to reduce tensions between India and Pakistan was taken through direct diplomatic contacts between the two countries and no third party had any role in it.

Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit: On Monday (October 13) at the Sharm Al Sheikh Peace Conference in Egypt, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the entire credit for stopping the war between India and Pakistan goes to US President Donald Trump. This statement came at a time when a cordial atmosphere was seen between Sharif and Trump on the stage. The world saw India’s diplomacy.

US President Donald Trump, who has proposed the Gaza peace plan, is a co-organizer of the conference. Along with him, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi is also a co-organizer. Earlier in the day, Trump addressed the Israeli Parliament, where he praised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and issued a stern warning to Hamas against violence.

PM Modi welcomed Gaza ceasefire

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was invited to the Egypt summit, but sent Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh. Welcoming the ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages, Modi wrote on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), ‘We welcome the release of all the hostages who have been held captive for more than two years. It is a symbol of the courage of their families, President Trump’s tireless peace efforts and Prime Minister Netanyahu’s determination. We support President Trump’s sincere efforts to bring peace to the region.

Leaders of more than 20 countries attended the conference

According to the Egyptian Presidential Office, leaders of at least 20 countries are participating in the Sharm el-Sheikh peace conference. Congress MP and former diplomat Shashi Tharoor posted on X and raised the question, ‘Is this strategic restraint or a lost opportunity?’ Shashi Tharoor clarified that this is not a question on the qualifications of Kirti Vardhan Singh, but this level of representation of India in the presence of such big leaders may indicate “strategic distance”, which does not match with India’s statements.

He further said, ‘Even if seen only from the protocol point of view, India’s voice will not be as effective as it could have been. When the region is reshaping itself, our absence is shocking.

Prominent leaders attending the summit

This conference includes Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who along with Trump played a role in starting the peace process. Apart from this, Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas is also participating, while Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu did not participate.

French President Emmanuel Macron, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, European Council President Antonio Costa, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Ghaith and Jordan’s King Abdullah II. Along with this, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia Al Sudani were also present.
