India’s air power is about to get a new boost. The agreement between the Indian Air Force and Russia for the R-37M extremely long-range air-to-air missile has reached the final stage. According to the report of The Week, about 300 missiles will be purchased and their supply may start in the coming 12 to 18 months. These missiles will increase the firepower of Indian fighter planes manifold.

India already has BrahMos missile. After this the Indian Air Force decided to acquire R-37M missile. Its range is more than 300 kilometers, which is counted among the longest range air-to-air missiles in the world. This missile flies at a hypersonic speed of Mach 6 (7400 kmph) and can destroy enemy AWACS, tankers and high-value targets in the blink of an eye. India had used BrahMos missile during Operation Sindoor, which has a speed of 3700 kmph, which comes in the category of supersonic. From this perspective, the R-37M missile is a good option and enemy targets can be destroyed in the blink of an eye.

Explosive technology of R-37M

This missile is specially designed for large and fast fighter planes like Su-30MKI. It is equipped with an active radar seeker, which keeps the target locked till the last moment. The 60 kg powerful warhead installed in it is enough to destroy any high-value platform of the enemy.

This missile will easily fit in Su-30MKI

The Indian Su-30MKI and the Russian Su-30SM are aircraft of the same family, so there will be no need to make major changes to add the R-37M to the Indian fighter jet. Only by software upgrade in mission computer and Bars radar, this missile will start working at full capacity. Two R-37M missiles will be installed on each Su-30MKI, while missiles like Astra or R77 will be used on other fighter jets.

India’s ability to shoot down enemy AWACS will increase

The main target of this missile is the enemy’s technology, which changes the direction of the war. It can be especially useful in targeting AWACS, air-tankers, jamming platforms. R-37M will give India the power to destroy the eyes and ears of the enemy i.e. AWACS even before they enter the battlefield.

BrahMos made in partnership between India and Russia

BrahMos missile is a weapon made in partnership between India and Russia, which has attracted the attention of military forces around the world. It was named by connecting the Brahmaputra of India and the Moskva River of Russia, which is a symbol of the technological unity of the two countries. Due to its speed, accuracy and reliable firepower, BrahMos is counted among the most dangerous supersonic cruise missiles in the world today.

range and capacity

BrahMos missile can be fired from all three mediums, land, sea and air, hence it can be easily included in any military operation. The current version delivers accurate strikes up to about 450 kilometres. After the new upgrade, its range is being increased to 800 kilometers, so that it can strike deep into the enemy territory. The missile flies at a speed of Mach 2.8 Mach 3700 KMPH.

Explosive power that changes the course of war

The weight of the high-explosive warhead installed in BrahMos is approximately 200 to 300 kg. It can destroy any target like bunker, military headquarters, ship or missile launch station in a few seconds.

The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being discussed all over the world. Putin and PM Modi are especially prominent in the American media. The American media house has considered the meeting between PM Modi and President Putin as an important step for India to meet its strategic needs.
American media said that the geographical pressure exerted by America led to the Russian President’s visit to India.

‘What did The Wall Street Journal write?

‘The Wall Street Journal’ says that the meeting of PM Modi and President Putin took place at a time when America was banning Russian oil companies. Because of this, India is buying crude oil at low prices. The India-Russia energy partnership, which has been considered the mainstay of bilateral relations from 2022, is currently under pressure. Indian refiners are being forced to rethink their crude oil procurement strategy after the US took action against traders linked to Rosneft and Lukoil.

American media said that despite this pressure, both the leaders indicated to continue buying and selling of crude oil.

Washington Post described a special moment of India’s foreign policy

Apart from this, Washington Post described this summit as a special moment for India’s foreign policy. According to the Washington Post, this summit was a test of India’s efforts to maintain old relations with Russia, that too at a time when the US is pushing for a peace deal in Ukraine.

Washington Post said that America is continuously putting pressure on India to reduce oil imports from Russia. Earlier this year, President Trump had doubled the tariff on Indian goods to 50 percent.

What did the experts say?

Citing Washington Post, experts said that this visit of the Russian President shows how India is striking a strategic balance between Western countries and other global players. India is now trying to balance its Russia partnership while keeping in mind the important trade interactions with the US and the EU.

New York Times praised both the leaders

The New York Times emphasized the personal rapport between the two leaders and said that PM Modi praised his deep and unbreakable relationship with Putin and compared India-Russia relations to the “North Star”.

The Times said the summit reflected India’s assertion of “strategic autonomy”, even as India’s relations with Washington have deteriorated due to tariffs and Western sanctions, which have sharply reduced India’s crude oil imports from Russia.

Russia increasingly sees India as a bulwark against its “overdependence” on China. American media believes that India is trying to save its energy supply, simultaneously manage pressure from Washington and Europe, and maintain relations with Russia amid global uncertainty.

US reports said that the task ahead for India is to maintain a historic partnership with Russia, as well as keep the doors open to deeper economic and strategic cooperation with the US.

Putin said- strong and necessary pillar

The Russian President, during his address during his visit to India, had said that the shipment of crude oil from Russia to India will continue without any interruption. Putin described PM Modi’s energy security as a “strong and essential pillar” of the relationship.

Senior Congress Party leader Hussain Dalwai has raised questions on Prime Minister Narendra Modi gifting ‘Shrimad Bhagavad Gita’ to Russian President Vladimir Putin. He said that politics of religion should not be brought into this. If brought then Quran Sharif, Bible and Guru Granth Sahib should have also been given.

Congress leader Hussain Dalwai, while talking to news agency IANS, said, ‘What is the purpose of presenting ‘Shrimad Bhagavad Gita’ to him (Russian President Putin)? I didn’t understand that. I will not say much on this, but along with ‘Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta’, Quran Sharif, Bible and Guru Granth Sahib should also have been given. Along with Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta, he should also have given the book of Mahabharata.

Controversial statement of Congress MP

Referring to the Ukraine war, the Congress leader said, ‘Russia has killed many people. Perhaps the Prime Minister might have presented Srimad Bhagavad Gita to President Putin for the purpose of considering it.

Good relations with Russia since the time of Nehru-Indira: Dalwai

On Russian President Putin’s visit to India, the Congress leader said, ‘Since the time of Nehru, India has worked to maintain strong relations with Russia. Indira Gandhi had also signed a treaty with Russia. When there was a war with Pakistan over Bangladesh, Russia helped India. This friendship has been going on since long. Those relationships are getting stronger, so that’s a great thing.

Statement given on Babri Masjid also

Meanwhile, Hussain Dalwai said on Humayun Kabir’s statement on ‘Babri Masjid’ on December 6, ‘It was done deliberately.’

He also claimed that Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Mahaparinirvan Day is celebrated throughout the country. To reduce the importance of this day, the demolition of the mosque was done on 6 December.

Before Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India, a statement by Congress leader Udit Raj has increased the discussion in political circles. Udit Raj said that Russia is no longer as reliable a partner as before and it did not get as much support as it should have in India’s major crises.

Earlier Russia used to stand together like a rock- Udit Raj
While talking to the media, Udit Raj said that Russia has been a strong friend of India for a long time, but during the Pahalgam terrorist attack and India-Pakistan war, Russia’s support was not as expected. According to him, this affected India’s position at the international level.

Demand to strengthen old friendship again
He said that the friendship between India and Russia has been going on since the time of Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi and now there is a need to make it as strong as before. Udit Raj expressed hope that the current meetings can improve relations.

Putin India Visit: Russian President Vladimir Putil is coming to India today. He will reach Delhi this evening. This visit of Putin to India is going to be very important politically, on which the eyes of the whole world are fixed. Everyone wants to know on which issues there will be agreements between India and Russia today.

73 year old Putin is considered a ‘destiny driven’ leader in his politics. He has made his place among the most powerful leaders of the world. Along with politics, strategy and tough decisions, Putin is also in the news for his high-profile lifestyle.

Putin’s big empire includes a huge castle worth 1.4 billion dollars, a huge plane worth 716 million dollars, a big yacht worth 100 million dollars, a ghost train worth 74 million dollars, more than 700 luxurious cars and many expensive watches including 60 thousand dollars.

Putin did not start his career directly as a politician. After completing his law studies, Putin was appointed to the KGB (Committee for State Security). After receiving special agent training here, he was sent on a foreign intelligence mission. After this, he worked secretly for 6 years in Dresden, East Germany and later he started his political journey which became his strength.

Putin’s destiny according to numerology

According to numerologist Anish Vyas, the name of Russian President Vladimir Putin indicates not just politics but a special power and destiny. The English alphabet of his name is VLADIMIR PUTIN, based on which the name number is 8, which shows the influence of Saturn. Saturn is the planet responsible for discipline, control, strategy and tough decisions. Such energy is clearly visible in Putin’s leadership style.

Putin was born on 7 October 1952. According to this, his birth number is 7, which is considered to be the number of Ketu. This is why Putin is also considered a mysterious, strategic and deeply thinking leader. The combination of birth number 7 and name number 8 makes the person goal-oriented, patient, stable in difficult situations and provides long-term strength.

Why is Putin considered a ‘destiny driven’ leader of politics?

Defining Russian President Putin as a destiny-driven leader means that he takes decisions not just based on current circumstances or desires, but also with a sense of fulfilling his destiny.

People with this number remain focused on larger goals like historical correction or changing the balance of power rather than small political gains, even if they have to face opposition at the international level.

People with Moolak 7 believe in destiny and believe that their path is already decided and they will overcome any obstacle to achieve their goal. But still they do not care about the results. Similar steadfastness and ability to take risks is visible in Putin’s decisions.

US President Donald Trump, while addressing the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Tuesday (September 23, 2025), alleged that India and China were funding Russia for the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Funding to China and India Russia: Trump

The Trump administration has imposed an additional 25 per cent tariff (tariff) on India for the purchase of Russian oil, causing the total fee levied by the US on India, which is the highest in the world. In his address in the general discussion of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Trump said, “China and India are the main countries to fund this war by purchasing Russian oil.”

US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi have taken the first step towards improving the relationship, reiterating the strength of personal friendship and bilateral relations. This step is an attempt to bridge the distance created on the business agreement and the issue of Russian oil.

Modi and Trump trust in friendship
Prime Minister Modi welcomed the statement of US President Trump, in which Trump said that he would always be a friend of Modi and there is no need to worry about the Indo-US special relationship. Now the officials of both countries will jointly prepare such a business agreement, which will be beneficial for both.

Deeply Appreciate and Fully Reciprocate President Trump’s Sentiments and Positive Assessment of Our Ties.

Foreign Minister Jaishankar also expressed importance of relationships
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also clarified that Prime Minister Modi gives great importance to relations with America. President Trump also said that he does not let India go to China. He said, “I have a good relationship with Modi ji, recently we also went to Rose Garden for a press conference.”

Reforms in bilateral relations

After giving positive indication of the two leaders, it is expected that America will stop or decrease the harsh rhetoric against India. It is expected that the two leaders will talk on the phone and will instruct senior officials to strengthen the relationship.

PM Modi’s message on social media
Prime Minister Modi wrote on X after the telephone talks with President Trump- “We heartily appreciate and fully support the positive evaluation of President Trump’s feelings and our relations. There is a very positive and visionary wide and global strategic partnership between India and America.”

The central government was assuming that the effect of negative rhetoric from the US would gradually be reduced and Trump would withdraw India from considering India close to China. India had re -established general relations with China, as well as dialogue with Russia. India also believes that the US had made it clear that the trade dispute is only a small obstacle and bilateral relations would progress normally.

Talks in security matters
India had expressed the hope that relations would be better when a top National Security Advisor of India recently went to America and met senior officials of top intelligence and law enforcement agencies in the US. The message came from the US that the business dispute is only a small problem.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to China has been completed and he has left from Tianjin. In view of the 50 percent tariff imposed on India by US President Donald Trump, PM Modi’s visit to China proved to be very important. PM Modi surrounded Pakistan over terrorism at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, while Donald Trump has also received a strong message with China and Russia on a platform with China and Russia. Read the big things of PM Modi’s SCO Summit-

1- PM Modi reached Tianjin in China on 31 August from Japan. He was given a grand welcome on the red carpet here. Chinese President Xi Jinping also welcomed PM Modi with warmth. In the photo session of the SCO Summit, PM Modi stood in the first line, where Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin stood. Apart from these, Turki President Erdogan, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also stood in the first line.

2- During the SCO Summit, a brilliant tuning between Prime Minister Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin appeared. During this time, where Putin hugged PM Modi, his tuning also appeared with Xi Jinping. The three leaders stood together and were talking with each other smiling.

3- A unique incident also appeared during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Tianjin. When Prime Minister Modi and Russian President Putin were moving forward talking together, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif stood in one corner. During this time he appeared under great stress. The video of this incident is going viral on social media.

4- Prime Minister Modi targeted Pakistan fiercely by referring to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam during the SCO Summit. PM Modi said, ‘India is facing the brunt of terrorism. How many mothers lost their children and how many children became orphans. Recently, we saw a very disgusting form of terror in Pahalgam. In this hour of grief, I thank the friendly countries who stood with us. This attack was not only on the soul of India, but was a challenge to every country and person believing in humanity. In such a situation, it is natural to raise the question whether we can accept open support of terrorism by some countries. We have to say clearly and in the same tone that we will not be acceptable to any double standard on terrorism. Together we have to oppose terrorism in every color and form. This is our responsibility towards humanity.

In this photo, PM Modi and Putin were sitting in the same car together. During this, both leaders were seen talking. It has also been revealed that when Putin was about to leave for bilateral talks, he expressed his desire to go with PM Modi. For this, the Russian President had also waited for PM Modi for 10 minutes so that the PM would come with him. After this, the two leaders left for the bilateral talk site from the same car.
6- Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a bilateral conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, ‘India and Russia have always stood shoulder to shoulder even in the most difficult situations. Our close cooperation is important not only for the people of both countries, but also for global peace, stability and prosperity. Regarding the Ukraine war, PM Modi said that we are constantly discussing the ongoing struggle in Ukraine. We welcome all recent efforts for peace. During this conversation, Putin called PM Modi a ‘friend’.

7- PM Modi also invited Putin to come to India during bilateral talks. He said, ‘I always feel that meeting you has been a memorable experience. We got an opportunity to exchange information on many subjects. We have been in constant touch. There have been several high-level meetings between the two sides on a regular basis. 140 crore Indians are eagerly waiting for our 23rd summit to be held in December this year.

8- Russia’s President Vladimir Putin said in a bilateral meeting with PM Modi, ‘I am very happy to meet you. The SCO provides a platform to unite global south and east countries. The 15th anniversary is to develop India-Russia relations as a ‘special and privileged strategic partnership’ on December 21, 2025. We have multidimensional relations. Today’s meeting is expected to give significant boost to India-Russia relations. Russia and India have very good relations.

10- Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the visit to China as successful and said that in this visit I attended the SCO summit and interacted with various world leaders.

US President Donald Trump has imposed a total tariff on India for buying oil from Russia. Not only this, he has threatened that if India still does not stop buying oil from Russia, more strict action can be taken against it. Trump announced 25 percent penalty and said that India is taking advantage of Russian oil. Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who arrived in Moscow, has given such an answer, which raised many questions. He said that if a country has difficulty in buying oil from India, then he should not buy. No one can be forced to. In such a situation, questions arose that from which countries India sells oil and where does so much oil come to India.

Which countries buy refined oil from India?

India imports crude oil and exports refined petroleum products. You will be surprised to know that America is also included in the countries that buy refined petroleum from India. Apart from this, the countries of the European Union are also included in the Netherlands, Singapore, Australia, UAE, South Africa. European countries are at the top of the country which are buying the most refined oil from India.

How much oil has India bought from Russia so far?
In 2024, India exported petroleum products worth over $ 19 billion to the European Union, which declined to $ 15 billion in 2024–25. According to GRTI, the major reason for this is to ban petroleum products prepared from crude oil purchased by Western countries from Russia. Despite the ban, India bought $ 50 billion crude oil from Russia in 2025. This is about one third of the total oil purchased by India from Russia. Let us know that India has bought $ 143 billion oil from Russia so far.

From which countries India buys oil?

India is the third largest country in the world to consume oil. America is first and China is second in this list. India imports about 85 percent crude oil of its need. He buys oil not only from Russia, but also from Saudi Arabia, UAE, America, Nigeria, Kuwait, Mexico, Oman. From April 2021 to January 2022, India bought the most oil from Iraq. Yes, it is true that after the Ukraine war, when the ban was banned from Russia, India increased the purchase of Russian oil. Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that earlier 27 countries used to sell oil to India. At present, this number has increased to 40.

Where is the treasure of oil in India?

The production of crude oil in India is very low. There is some oil available in Assam, Western Apat, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Mumbai. However, it is being told that oil reserves have also been found in different parts of the country. The Andaman Sea is expected to have huge oil reserves, which is located in search of India. If we talk about the world, then the biggest oil reserves are with Venezuela. This is followed by the number of Saudi Arabia, Iran, Canada and Iraq.

India gave a message to further strengthen their relationship with Russia on Thursday (August 21, 2025). Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow and insisted on increasing bilateral trade. The meeting took place when the US has imposed heavy punitive tariffs on India due to buying oil from Russia.

S Jaishankar meets Putin
Jaishankar held a courtesy call to Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. During this time, the two leaders discussed bilateral trade, energy cooperation and strategic partnership. India made it clear that Russia is one of its oldest and trusted colleagues.

Conversation with Lavrov
Before meeting Putin, Jaishankar interacted with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov. The two leaders also held press briefing. When Jaishankar was asked about the tariff imposed by the US, he said that India is unable to understand American argument.

America’s tariff strike
During the tenure of US President Donald Trump, 25% tariff has been imposed on India so far and an additional 25% punitive fee is going to be implemented soon. The US alleges that India has greatly increased oil imports from Russia after the Ukraine War and has also made a profit by “resale”.

Comparison of India and China
India is currently the second largest country to import oil from Russia, while China is ranked first. Despite this, America did not impose any such restrictions on China. On this, the US Treasury Secretary said that China did not increase its imports as fast as India has done.

Jaishankar’s answer
Jaishankar dismissed the American argument, saying, “Americans themselves told us that we should buy oil from Russia to keep the global energy market stable. We also buy oil from America and there has been a steady increase in that purchase. So we do not understand this argument at all.”

India’s independent policy
The Modi government is constantly advocating strong relations with Russia and is also working on normalizing relations with China. It is an indication that India is adamant on its independent foreign policy despite American pressure.

Modi-Putin Dialogue
Recently, after the meeting of US President Trump and Putin, Putin spoke to Prime Minister Modi over the phone. In this conversation, Modi described Putin as a “friend” and the two leaders decided to maintain close contact. Modi once again said that India constantly wants a peaceful solution to Ukraine war.
