If Tariq stops his hand before bowling the ball, then it is within the batsman’s right to move away. The batsman can say, ‘I don’t know when the ball will come, so I moved away. This incident will be interesting and will give a headache to the umpire.’

Ashwin further said that if this happens, the umpire will have to decide whether to warn the batsman or the bowler. Imagining this entire incident, Ashwin said that on such occasions it is the bowler who is warned first.

Pressure will come on Usman Tariq

Ashwin further said, “If the batsman starts moving away from the front again and again, then imagine how much pressure will be put on Tariq. It is possible that he will have to change his bowling action in the middle of the match. If this happens, Pakistan’s trump card will prove to be ‘zero’.”

India-Pak match will be held as per schedule

On the request of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, the Pakistan government has withdrawn its appeal to boycott the match. Now the India-Pakistan match in the T20 World Cup will take place as per the schedule, which has put an end to the crisis prevailing in the ongoing tournament. A press release from the Government of Pakistan said, “Taking into account the outcomes of multilateral negotiations and the requests of friendly countries, the Government of Pakistan has directed the Pakistan national cricket team to take the field for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match scheduled on February 15, 2026.” It has also been said on behalf of the Government of Pakistan that this decision has been taken with the aim of protecting the spirit of cricket and supporting the continuity of this global game in all the participating countries.
