South Africa has announced its 15-member squad for the Test series on the Indian tour. The South African team’s India tour will run from 14 November to 19 December. 2 Tests, 3 ODIs and five T20 matches will be played between the two teams. The African team has currently announced its Test squad, in which captain Temba Bavuma has returned. Bavuma was injured during the ODI series against England last month.

5 and a half feet tall player, trouble for Team India

Temba Bavuma’s height is 5 feet 4 inches, which is not even 5 and a half feet, but his figures are much higher than his height. As captain, Temba Bavuma has not lost any test match yet. Under his captaincy, South Africa won 9 out of 10 test matches and drew one. The South African team recently held Pakistan to a 1-1 draw in the Test series at their home. South Africa will tour India in November to play a 2-Test, 3-ODI and 5-match T20 series. It will start with the Test series, the first match of which will be played at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata between November 14 and November 18. South Africa has not won a test series in India for 26 years

This will be the 8th time that South Africa is coming to India to play a Test series, before this the team has come to India 7 times where India has won 4 series and South Africa has won 1 series. 2 series has ended in a draw. South Africa won the last and only Test series on the India tour in 1990, after that the team came to India 5 times to play the Test series but could never win.

Ganguly took over as the President of Cricket Association of Bengal for the second time on September 22, 2025. Earlier, he had held this post from 2015 to 2019, after leaving which he became the 35th President of BCCI.

After the first Test from 14 to 18 November, the second Test between India and South Africa will be played at the Assam Cricket Association from 22 to 26 November. The 3-match ODI series will start from 30th November and the 5-match T20 series will start from 9th December.
