The Caribbean fast bowler argued that he had thrown the ball towards Jaiswal with the intention of running him out. Match referee Andy Pycroft, after watching the video replay, said that Seales’ throwing of the ball was unfair.

Seales was found guilty of Article 2.9 in the ICC Code of Conduct. According to this, if a player throws the ball inappropriately towards another player in an international cricket match, he will be eligible for punishment.

In the Delhi Test, the Indian team declared its first innings at 518 runs. In response, West Indies’ first innings was reduced to just 248 runs.
