Weather Updates: A different picture is being seen in the weather of the country at this time. On one hand, monsoon has already reached many states of the country and it is raining heavily, while on the other hand, some states are still waiting for the monsoon. The Meteorological Department has told how far the monsoon has reached! In which states is this still awaited and when can monsoon enter these areas?

According to IMD, the northern limit of monsoon is currently passing through the line of Harnai, Solapur, Hyderabad, Bhadrachalam, Koraput, Phulbani, Ranchi, Jamui and Muzaffarpur. A seasonal trough is extending from Punjab to Bihar and a Western Disturbance is persisting around North Pakistan.

A cyclonic circulation is also present near north-western Uttar Pradesh. Due to all this, the weather of North India is being affected and in the areas where the monsoon was to advance, the necessary environment could not be created for it. This is the reason why the monsoon seems to be stuck in the middle and states like Telangana, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar and Chhattisgarh have to wait. The Meteorological Department has expressed hope that the situation may change in the next four to five days.

waiting for monsoon

Conditions are being created for the advance of monsoon in some parts of Telangana, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar and Chhattisgarh. According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon may reach these areas around June 23. Monsoon is fully active in Northeast India and this week there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in some areas of Northeast region, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Bihar. On the other hand, where monsoon has not yet reached, the effect of heat continues. There is a heat wave warning in some areas till June 21 in Madhya Pradesh, till June 20 in Vidarbha, till June 19 in Telangana and till June 17 in Chhattisgarh. Delay in monsoon may increase the problems of people due to heat and humidity in these states.

changes in delhi

Monsoon has not yet reached Delhi but there will definitely be a period of rain and strong winds in the coming days. On June 17, the sky in Delhi will be partially covered with clouds and there is a possibility of thunderstorm and strong winds with drizzle in the afternoon or evening, whose speed can be 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. Even on June 18, the sky will be cloudy and there is a possibility of thunderstorm with light rain in the evening or night. The temperature may reach 37 to 39 degrees. On June 19, there may be a light storm with thunder in the morning and afternoon and the temperature may go up to 38 to 40 degrees. On June 20, there may be heavy rain in the afternoon or evening with winds blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour, whose gusts can reach up to 60 kilometers per hour.

heat wave in UP

Talking about Uttar Pradesh, here too the wait for monsoon is still pending. There may be light to scattered rain at isolated places in Western Uttar Pradesh from June 17 to 19 and then on June 23, while in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, similar rains are expected between June 17 to 19 and June 22 to 23. Apart from this, a warning has also been given of heat wave in Eastern Uttar Pradesh from 17th to 22nd June, that is, the effect of heat will also remain during this period. Heat wave conditions may also occur in some areas in western Uttar Pradesh between June 19 and 22.

Due to heavy rains, there has been a lot of loss of life and property in many parts of India, China and Pakistan. While floods caused havoc due to heavy rains in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, more than 300 people died, there was a loss of millions of crores in China. Apart from this, the situation has deteriorated from Jammu and Kashmir to Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand in India.

Transport has come to a standstill due to the rise in the water level of the Ganges river and there has been a flood situation in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. At the same time, Tawi, Chenab and Basantar rivers are flowing above the red alert, which has flooded the low -lying areas of Jammu.

Heavy losses in these areas of Pakistan

At the same time, floods including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Punjab of Pakistan have greatly affected people. Heavy rains in China have affected both home and earnings. Due to torrential rains of two months, there has been a loss of Rs 1.84 lakh crore.

Although every year floods in these areas are easy to flood, but this time the pattern of rain has changed in these areas. Due to rising temperature, the direction of the monsoon has slipped towards the south, due to which areas like Rajasthan and Gujarat are receiving more rainfall than in the northeastern states.

More incidents of floods in small areas

Due to rising temperatures, the evaporation of surface water in rivers has increased, causing moisture in the clouds, which are taking the form of heavy rain. Due to heavy rains in small areas, flood -like situation has arisen, which has affected life.

This year’s rains have caused more havoc in Pakistan than the previous rains and the rescue operation is still going on. Due to moving from high-pressure areas of the winds towards low-pressure areas, the affected areas are receiving more rainfall.

The effects of flood can be reduced like this

In recent years, flood incidents have increased due to indiscriminate harvesting and poor water management of forests. Strengthening pre -warning systems, restoring floodlines and adopting permanent planning methods can help reduce the devastating effects of floods in the region.
