A major setback has come out for the indigenous defense sector of India. Actually, Brazil has stopped the conversation of India’s ‘Akash’ surface -to -air missile system. According to reports, Brazil has described the performance in some important operational parameters of the ‘Akash’ missile behind the move.

Now Brazil has turned to Europe’s defense veteran MBDA, which provides ENHANCED MODULAR AIR Defense Solutions (EMADS). This system is already being used in NATO countries and is considered reliable. The reports quoting the Brazilian media The Rio Times said that the talks between the Brazilian army and the MBDA are moving around the deal of about 1 billion US dollars (about 4.7 billion ringgits). It is considered to be the biggest air defense deal of recent years in Latin America.

‘Akash’ fails to deal with high-speed, low-altitude hazards?

According to Brazilian media reports, Brazil considered ‘Akash’ less suitable for high-speed and low-altitude targets. In today’s war, when hybrid warfare, drone attacks and smart bombs are being used rapidly, Brazil feels that the sky is not enough to deal with these dangers.

India’s ‘self -reliant’ defense policy challenged?

This decision is a serious challenge for India’s ‘self -reliant India’ campaign. India has described ‘Akash’ as one of its most successful domestic systems and is promoting it in the international market, but Brazil’s displeasure shows that foreign forces consider NATO-Men’s technology to be more reliable, while India’s systems will have to work more to reach that level.

Operation Sindoor: Border Security Force (BSF) Inspector General (Rajasthan Frontier) ML Garg said on Monday (May 26) that Pakistan carried out 413 drone attacks in Barmer, Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Sriganganagar districts, but all of them were thwarted by India’s air defense system in the air.

In a conversation with the media at BSF headquarters in Jodhpur, Garg shared the achievements of BSF during Operation Sindoor on the western border. Even before they reached the land, our anti -missile technology and air defense system destroyed them in the air. He said that this was the reason that there was no harm to the Indian side and whatever fell on the ground was only a drone debris. When asked about the preparations for the border across the border during Operation Sindoor, Garg said that Pakistan had deployed its army on the border, but not a single Indian soldier retreated even one inch.
