BCCI can announce Team India for the 2025 Asia Cup on 19 or 20 August. This prestigious Asian cricket tournament is to be played in UAE from 9 September. Earlier, former Indian wicketkeeper and selector Deep Dasgupta has given a shocking statement. He says that Sanju Samson will not be selected in Team India for the Asia Cup.

Let us know that in the last one year, Sanju Samson has scored the most runs for India in T20 International, but in the last five T20 matches, only 51 runs have been scored with Samson’s bat. For this reason, questions have been raised on his place in the team.

Cricketer -turned -commentator Deep Dasgupta said in a conversation with the Times of India, “Sanju Samson has done well, but he had to struggle against the strong team of England on the home ground. This was the only series under Suryakumar’s captaincy in which India played against a top international strong team.”

He added, “Shubman Gill can play the role of Virat Kohli, who can take the innings deep in high pressure tournaments. He has support for IPL performance. UAE must have such a player on slow pitches.”

He further says, “Abhishek Sharma will have to start as an opener, because when he comes in the rhythm, you can change the attitude of the match alone. It is difficult for Yashasvi Jaiswal to be in the team, so the team management will have to decide whether Sanju Samson or Jitesh Sharma can play in middle order or not.”

Asia Cup from 9 September

In September, Team India will first play 2025 Asia Cup in UAE. This tournament will be played in T20 format. The final match of the Asia Cup will be played on 28 September. In this tournament, Team India can clash with Pakistan three times.

Test series (two Tests) against West Indies from 2 October

Soon after the Asia Cup is over, Team India will play a two -match Test series against West Indies. The Caribbean team will visit India. The first Test match will be played in Ahmedabad between October 2 and October 6. After this, the second Test will be held in Delhi between October 10 and October 14.

India’s Australian tour (3 ODIs and 5 T20s)

Five days after the second Test against the West Indies, Team India will play three ODIs and 5 T20 matches against Australia. The Indian team will visit Australia. The first ODI match will be played on 19 October. Then the T20 series will start from October 29. The fifth and final T20 will be played on 8 November.

South African team will visit India (2 Tests, 3 ODIs and 5 T20s)

The first Test will be played between India and South Africa from 14 November. Test series matches will be played in Kolkata and Guwahati. ODI series matches will be played in Ranchi, Raipur and Visakhapatnam from November 30. Then 5 T20 matches will be played from December 9. T20 series matches will be played in Cuttack, New Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Lucknow and Ahmedabad.
