6th December has always been a special day in the Indian cricket calendar. There is a long and powerful list of cricketers born on this date. It is rare to see so many international cricketers born on the same day. Those names too, which have been the best in their respective eras. This date is even more interesting in Indian cricket, because not one or two, but five Indian cricketers celebrate their birthday on 6th December.

5 big names of Team India

Three current stars of Team India, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and Shreyas Iyer celebrate their birthday on this day. These three players have been in the category of match-winners for Indian cricket in the last years.

Jadeja will celebrate his 37th birthday this time.

Bumrah will be 32 years old.

Iyer will celebrate his 31st birthday.

Apart from these, Karun Nair, who scored a triple century for India, and RP Singh, who played an important role in India’s victory in the 2007 T20 World Cup, were both born on this day. Meaning, birthdays of five Indian players in one day, which is a record in itself.

Foreign cricketers also make this list strong

6th December does not shine only with Indian names. Many foreign stars are also born on this date. The biggest name among them is Andrew Flintoff, England’s legendary all-rounder, who created history with his performance in the 2005 Ashes. Apart from this, Pakistan’s batsman Nasir Jamshed, New Zealand’s all-rounder Glenn Phillips, and Ireland’s young star Harry Tector also celebrate their birthday on this day.

These players have such a mix of batting, bowling and all-round ability that by combining them a strong international playing-11 can be prepared.

Special playing-11 on 6th December

If the team is made only on the basis of date of birth, then the team of 6th December will look like this,

Nasser Jamshed (Pakistan), Shaun Irvine (Zimbabwe), Shreyas Iyer (India), Harry Tector (Ireland), Karun Nair (India), Glenn Phillips (New Zealand), Andrew Flintoff (England), Ravindra Jadeja (India), Jasprit Bumrah (India), Dewald Pretorius (South Africa), RP Singh (India).

The South African team that visited India created history in the Test series held during November and made a clean sweep by defeating Team India 2-0. This crushing defeat also freshened the wounds of that 25 year old defeat, when the South African team had defeated India 2-0. However, after that defeat, the issue of match fixing came to light, which shook the entire world. This was in April 2000, when serious allegations of match fixing were made against the cricket teams of India and South Africa. Let us introduce you to the whole matter.

How did the match fixing scandal start?

In the year 2000, Delhi Police taped a suspicious phone call during its routine security check. This call was of a conversation between the then South African captain Hansie Cronje and a bookie. When the police recorded this conversation, match fixing was revealed. Clear information was received in the call as to how the players will take the money and play in the prescribed manner, how many runs will be scored as per the set score, and what will be the team’s strategy. When Delhi Police made this recording public, after this revelation the ICC and all the national cricket boards decided to further tighten the anti-corruption rules.

Hansie Cronje initially denied the allegations, but later admitted that he fixed matches by taking money from bookies. After this confession, he was banned from cricket for life. Hansie Cronje died in a plane crash in 2002.

Which Indian players’ names came out?

As new revelations continued to emerge, the Indian cricket team also came under suspicion. The case was handed over to CBI, in which the names of many Indian players came to light. These included Ajay Jadeja, Mohammad Azharuddin, Manoj Prabhakar and Ajay Sharma. Cricket fans were surprised when the names of such big players came forward.

After investigation, Mohammad Azharuddin and Ajay Sharma were banned for life. Whereas Ajay Jadeja and Manoj Prabhakar were banned for five years each. Although all the players were banned from playing cricket, no legal case was registered.

What were the changes in cricket rules?

Strict monitoring of players: During matches or tournaments, their movements and suspicious calls started being monitored.

Security of team hotels increased: Entry of suspicious persons and bookies was banned. The team was given a separate floor and strong surveillance.

No contact with bookies: Players were given clear instructions not to contact any bookie or bookie.

ICC Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU): Which keeps a strict vigil on the players, team and management so that crimes like match fixing do not happen again.

Cricket Retirement: India won by 9 wickets against Australia in Sydney, thanks to Rohit Sharma’s unbeaten 121 and Virat Kohli’s 74 runs. But hitman Rohit Sharma has given a big hint about his retirement. In the meantime, let us know who the players have to inform before retiring and also how far in advance it has to be announced.

Process before announcing retirement

Retirement in Indian cricket is not just a personal decision. This also includes official communication with the governing body. Although there is no fixed period for when to announce retirement, but it is a standard procedure to inform the authorities before announcing retirement. Players can inform the Board of Control for Cricket in India before any formal announcement. In fact, this step ensures that the board, selectors and officials know about the player’s decision before it becomes public. Generally, players inform senior BCCI officials like President, Secretary or Chairman of Selectors. The reason for this is that it helps the board in planning future selections and upcoming tournaments.

Notifying State Cricket Associations

Players representing their state in domestic tournaments like Ranji Trophy also have to inform the state cricket association. This is done so that there is no confusion during team selection and to ensure that the player’s retirement is officially recorded at both the domestic and national level.

How many days in advance is it necessary to inform the board

Actually, there is no fixed rule or time limit for informing the board before retirement. BCCI and International Cricket Council have left it completely to the discretion of the player. Some players announce their retirement immediately after the match or tournament, while some give the board time to prepare for the change smoothly and prefer to give prior notice. If we talk about other countries, the rules of other cricket boards are strict. Sri Lanka Cricket Board has made a rule to give 3 months notice to players before retiring from international cricket. This gives the board time to plan the future team.

Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir organized a special dinner for Team India at his home on Wednesday evening. On this occasion, the guests got to taste 60 to 70 different dishes and 10 varieties of delicious dishes were also served for sweets. The menu from starter to main course was excellent. The question here is that if you also want to throw a five star dinner party like Gautam Gambhir, then how much money will it cost? Let us know.

How much will it cost just for the goods?

If you want to organize a five star dinner party like Gautam Gambhir, then first of all you have to understand that a major part of the expenditure goes on food items and chef’s fees. If reports are to be believed, five star hotels or private catering services say that food items and accessories alone can cost around Rs 4 to 5 lakh. It includes fresh and exotic dishes like Italian pasta with sauces, Chinese specials and Indian tandoori cocktail.

Cost of sweets and chef’s fees

Apart from this, 10 types of sweets like Gulab Jamun, Rasmalai, Chocolate Tart and other desserts are also expensive. Sweets can cost around Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh, as it involves high quality ingredients and the services of a professional chef. The fees of chef and staff are also a huge amount. In five star catering services, the fees for 10-12 professional chefs and serving staff can be around Rs 2 to 3 lakh, depending on the time of the party and the number of guests.

What might be the total expense?

Apart from this, if you want to throw such a party at home, then there is extra expense on decoration, table setting and serving ware. Five star level decoration, crystal glasses, premium plates and waiter uniforms can add an additional expense of Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh. If all these expenses are added together, the total expense of a five star dinner party like Gautam Gambhir’s with 70 items and 10 sweet dishes can reach around Rs 20 to 25 lakh. If the number of guests is more or more exotic items are included in the food, this expense may increase further.

Expenses run into lakhs

It can be said that a party like Gautam Gambhir’s is not just a dining experience, but it is a mixture of luxury and grandeur. If we include the expenses of everything like food, sweets, staff and decoration in such an event, then it falls in the category of big budget events. Therefore its expenditure runs into lakhs.

Also read: If there is one less view in 10 thousand, how much money does Instagram deduct, how much will the earnings decrease?

Apart from this, that championship is also remembered because of a special player. Yes, he is a player Yuvraj Singh, who has brought 6 hair to 6 hair in the match against England and illuminated his name in the world.

Not only this, Yuvraj Singh was also built in the Player of the Tournament in the 50 -over World Cup in 2011. But he did not stop here, after which Yuvraj made up his mind to prepare new cricket stars and started his cricket academy in many places. Let’s know …

Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s Cricket Academy has made its presence in many important cities of the country today, the Yuvraj Singh Center of Excellence (YSCE), Faizabad (Ayodhya) and Palwal in Greater Noida, this academy is not only teaching the basic principles of sports to the local children but also giving wings to the dreams of young cricketers.

Training from early age for children

Although the minimum age is not fixed in these academies, but children aged 5 to 8 are considered the best for cricket training. The purpose of Yuvraj is to bring out the talent hidden in the children of small towns.

Ashanya, wife of Shubham Dwivedi, who was killed in the Pahalgam terror attack of the cricket match between India and Pakistan on Sunday (September 14, 2025) in the Asia Cup 2025, condemned. Aishanya appealed to everyone to boycott this match between India and Pakistan.

Aishanya Dwivedi accused the organizers of the match between India and Pakistan that she had ignored the grief of the families of those killed in the Pahalgam terror attack. At the same time, he also criticized the BCCI to agree to this match between the two countries. He said to news agency ANI, ‘BCCI should never have agreed to the match between India and Pakistan. I think the BCCI is not at all sensitive to those 26 aggrieved families.

Questions raised on the silence of Indian cricket players

Apart from this, Anshanya Dwivedi also questioned Indian cricket players to keep silence in this matter. He said, ‘What are our cricketers doing? Cricket players are called nationalists. Except for one or two cricket players, no player also came forward and said that we should boycott the match against Pakistan. It is not possible that the BCCI forces them to play by showing the bullying of guns. They should stand for their country. But they are not doing this.

Anshanya enraged the match sponsors and broadcasters

Anshanya Dwivedi also questioned the match sponsors and broadcasters during this period. He said, ‘I also want to ask all those sponsors and broadcasters whether the nationality of those 26 aggrieved families is over? What will be used for the income from the match? Pakistan will use it only and only to increase terrorism, because it is a terrorist country. The revenue you will also give to him, they will also use it to attack us again.

Virat kohli: There is talk of fitness in Indian cricket and Virat Kohli’s name does...

Virat kohli: There is talk of fitness in Indian cricket and Virat Kohli’s name does not come, this cannot happen. Kohli not only set new standards for Team India with his fitness but also made strict rules for the players regarding the Yo-Yo Test. Together with Ravi Shastri, he made it clear that it is necessary for every player to pass the Yo-Yo test, only then the place in the team will be confirmed. This was the reason that senior players like Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina also came out in the fitness examination again after the test failed.

Recently the Yo-Yo test is again in the headlines. Most of the players including current captain Rohit Sharma have passed this test. Virat Kohli also completed the Yo-Yo test in London, but his score has not been revealed yet. However, his best score has been 19, but do you know, there are four Indian cricketers who have scored more than Kohli and have got their fitness iron.

Manish Pandey (19.2)

Manish Pandey, who is counted among the most fit players of Indian cricket, comes at the top of four players. Manish, known for the fast race and running Bitveen the wickets, scored 19.2 in the Yo-Yo Test. His score was 0.2 more than Kohli’s 19 score.

Mayank Dagar (19.3)

Himachal Pradesh cricketer Mayank Dagar once shocked everyone with his fitness. At the domestic level, he scored 19.3 in the Yo-Yo test. The score was ahead of both Kohli and Manish Pandey by that time.

Ahmed Bande (19.4)

Jammu and Kashmir cricketer Ahmed Bande scored a score of 19.4 in the Yo-Yo Test in 2018. This score was the highest among Indian players for a long time and no one had crossed it for five years.

Mayank Agarwal (21.1)

Kohli’s RCB partner and former Indian Test team opener Mayank Agarwal created history in 2023. He demolished all the old records by scoring 21.1 in the Yo-Yo test. His score proved to be a new height to fitness in Indian cricket.
