Study in India: Today, India is gaining recognition across the world not only for its food, culture and festivals, but also for good education. Students from Nepal, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Africa and many Asian countries like to come to India and study. At the same time, courses like medical, engineering, management and IT are available in India at a good level at a low cost. This is the reason why every year thousands of foreign students leave their homes and come to India to pursue their studies. Also, big colleges and universities of India are now making their own identity in the world.

According to the report, every year more than 70 thousand foreign students come to study in India. According to the government, in the year 2025, about 72,218 foreign students were studying in different colleges and universities of India, who have come from about 200 countries. Along with modern technology, good education and better environment is also available in the education here, which attracts the students.

Better education at less cost is making India special

If we talk about the cost of education, then the cost of education in India is much less as compared to foreign countries. Whereas in America, Britain or Australia lakhs of rupees are spent, in India the same level of education can be done for less money. This is the reason why poor and middle class foreign students are considering India as a better option. Besides, the Government of India is also running many scholarship schemes for foreign students. Like ICCR Scholarship (Indian Council for Cultural Relations), every year more than 3000 foreign students get a chance to study in India.

Apart from this, there is also Atal Bihari Vajpayee General Scholarship Scheme, which is a special scheme run under ICCR, in which students from more than 100 countries are given scholarship to study in colleges and universities of India. It is believed that India is becoming especially popular for medical and technical studies. Many foreign students say that along with their studies, they also get a family-like environment in India. The culture and behavior of the people here quickly makes them their own.

Also read: Bihar Police Sub-Inspector (Inspector) main examination today, 36 thousand candidates will appear for 1799 posts.

Indian students are also going abroad in large numbers

On one hand, foreign students are coming to India, while on the other hand, lakhs of Indian students are going to study abroad every year. According to the report, in the year 2024, about 13.35 lakh Indian students were studying abroad. In which Canada, America, Britain, Australia and Germany remain the first choice of Indian students. At the same time, maximum number of 4.27 lakh Indian students are studying in Canada. Also, more than 3.37 lakh Indian students are present in America. The desire to get good jobs, big universities and international experience is pulling the youth towards foreign countries. However, now good colleges and new facilities are increasing rapidly in India too, due to which the picture may change in the future.

India is becoming strong in the world on the basis of education

India is no longer just a country that teaches students, but is also moving towards becoming a major education center of the world. The increasing number of foreign students shows that the world’s trust in India’s education system is increasing. The new education policy, digital education and modern facilities have made India stronger. In the future, if India pays more attention to its colleges and research, then more students from the world can come to study here.

World Earth Day 2026 Special: 22 April is celebrated as Earth Day across the world. Meaning, it is not just a formal event but also a day to increase awareness and responsibility towards the earth. Earth Day gives us the message of conservation and balance of the earth.

Earth gave us water and life, but in modern times, environmental crisis has become a deep crisis not only for mankind but also for the earth. Therefore, especially at this time on World Earth Day, it becomes very important to understand the importance of the Earth.

We should learn the importance of the earth and its conservation from the ancient texts of Sanatan Dharma, Vedas and Puranas. Because thousands of years ago, the scriptures have taught us to respect and protect the Earth by considering it as ‘Mother’. From Atharva Veda to Vishnu Purana, the glory of the earth is described in many scriptures.

What is Atharva Veda (What is Atharva Veda)

Atharvaveda is the fourth and last Veda among the four Vedas of Hinduism, which is also called ‘Brahmaveda’ or ‘Bhaishajya Veda’. Sage Atharva and Rishi Angira are considered its creators. Atharvaveda contains about 6,000 mantras, 20 kandas and more than 730 suktas. This Veda is mainly considered to be a storehouse of practical knowledge related to daily life, medicine, herbs and society.

Vastu Tips: Know the family growth corner according to Vastu, is this power in your house?

Importance of Earth from Atharvaveda to Puranas

“Mata Bhoomi: Putroham Prithivya:“(Atharvaveda 12.1.12)

In ‘Prithvi Sukta’ of Atharvaveda, earth has been seen as the life-giving mother. This mantra of Atharveda shows the deep connection between man and earth. It is said in it that the Earth is our mother and we are her sons, that is, protecting it is our supreme duty.

“Samudravasane Devi Parvatastanamandale.
Vishnupatni namastubhyam padasparsham kshasva mein.”

This is a morning prayer dedicated to Mother Earth, in which the Earth is considered to be a goddess. Earth has been described as the ‘sustaining’ and ‘sustaining life’ power. In this prayer, the earth is considered a goddess and forgiveness is sought from her, which shows the deep respect for nature in Sanatan culture.

Religious verses based on earth- In our ancient texts, Prithvi (Earth) has been considered as mother, patience, protection and the basis of life, many beautiful verses related to which are found. Especially the Prithvi Sukta of Atharvaveda is quite famous. See here some important verses based on earth and nature-

A life-size bronze statue of Swami Vivekananda has been unveiled in Westlake Square, located in the heart of Seattle, America. This is the first time that a city government in America has officially installed such a statue of Swami Vivekananda. On this historic occasion, it was jointly inaugurated by Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson and Consul General of India Prakash Gupta.

For the first time in America, the city government installed Vivekananda’s statue.
This statue is the first installation of its kind in America, which has been installed by a city government. Earlier, statues of Swami Vivekananda had been installed by different organizations or communities, but this time this work has been done directly by the city administration.

Established in Seattle’s busiest and most prominent location
This statue has been installed in Westlake Square, which is a very famous and busy area of Seattle city. About 4 lakh people come here every day and lakhs of tourists reach this place every month. This place is located near Amazon Spheres, Seattle Convention Center and Seattle Center Monorail, which increases its importance even more.

Many big leaders attended the grand ceremony
Mayors and senior leaders of Seattle and many surrounding cities attended the unveiling ceremony of this statue. These included Kent Mayor Dana Ralph, Auburn Mayor Nancy Backus, Tukwila Mayor Tom McLeod, Normandie Park Mayor Eric Zimmerman and Kirkland Mayor Kelly Curtis. Apart from this, many leaders of Indian origin community and city council members of Bellevue, Bothell, Dupont and Redmond were also present in this program.

Mayor Katie Wilson said- this is a symbol of inclusivity

Swami Vivekananda Monument adorns the heart of downtown Seattle! pic.twitter.com/JWKLBegJ5l

 — Naveen Rai (@batooninaveen) April 12, 2026

Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson said in her speech that this statue of Swami Vivekananda reflects the diversity and inclusive thinking of the city. He said that this will further strengthen the cultural ties between India and America, especially in the technology hub Seattle.

Special gift given from India
This statue has been given as a gift to the city of Seattle by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). The move is part of India’s cultural diplomacy, which aims to promote Indian culture across the world and strengthen people-to-people ties. This program was organized on the occasion of ICCR Day, which makes this initiative more special. Swami Vivekananda was a great saint, philosopher and spiritual guru, who popularized Vedanta and Yoga in western countries. His life (1863–1902) is considered a symbol of India’s spiritual heritage.

Indian artist created this grand statue

This statue has been prepared by India’s famous sculptor Naresh Kumar Kumawat. He has created more than 600 statues in more than 80 countries of the world, which represent Indian culture. Indian cultural dance programs were also organized on this occasion, in which a large number of people participated. Messages related to Swami Vivekananda were also given to the people present at the function and souvenirs were also distributed.

India-US relations will get a new dimension
The installation of this statue is being seen as increasing cultural relations between India and America. Especially in the Pacific Northwest region of America, this step will further strengthen the bond between people.

The day recorded in history is 11 April 2026
This event held in Seattle on April 11, 2026 has become historic. This is not just the unveiling of a statue, but has emerged as a symbol of India’s cultural identity and global influence.

Covering the head is one of the oldest traditions of Indian culture. Whether men tie a turban on their heads or women wear saree pallu or devotees keep clothes in the temple, this gesture is a way of respect, dignity and belonging.

However, the meaning of this practice varies in different regions, communities and circumstances.

A speech by Guyana Minister Vikas Ramkissoon is becoming increasingly viral on social media in India these days. He gave this speech in the Parliament of Guyana, in which he talked in detail about Hindi language, Indian culture and his identity. The special thing was that the opposition members had raised questions on his ability to speak Hindi, after which he gave a clear and firm answer in the House.

In his speech, Vikas Ramkissoon said that Hindi is not just a language, but it is the identity and cultural heritage of crores of people. He told that people of Indian origin arrived in Guyana as indentured laborers about 180 years ago. Even today, a large number of citizens of Indian origin live there and Indian traditions, festivals and languages are part of the social structure there. About 40 percent of the total population of Guyana is considered to be of Indian origin. In such a situation, the influence of Hindi and Indian culture is clearly visible in the social and political life there.

cited ancient texts

While answering the opposition’s questions, Minister Ramkissoon mentioned ancient Hindu texts. He presented quotations from the texts written by Tulsidas, which are written in Awadhi and Sanskrit. He also told that these books have been published by a reputed publication like Motilal Banarsidas. He said that knowledge of a language cannot be judged only by pronunciation or accent. Questioning a person’s language is like questioning his culture and identity.

Language unites, not divides.

In his speech he clearly said that the purpose of language is to connect people, not to divide. He expressed his views in a calm but strong manner, which impressed many members present in the Parliament. His message was that one’s ability should not be judged on the basis of his/her language.

Why is it going viral in India?

This video is becoming increasingly viral in India because here too, debates take place from time to time regarding Hindi and other languages. In such an environment, a speech given in honor of Hindi and Indian culture in a foreign parliament is attracting people’s attention. Overall, not only the issue of language, but also the heritage of people of Indian origin and the presence of Hindi at the global level is a big reason behind Guyana Minister Vickram Ramkissoon’s speech going viral.

The India 2047 Youth Conclave organized by ABP Network revealed a strong message on Indian entrepreneurship and the growing power of homegrown brands. On this platform, Gaurav Mehta, founder of Jaipur Watch Company, shared the story of his startup’s journey and explained how an Indian brand can move towards global recognition despite limited resources and tough competition.

Gaurav Mehta told that wearing his company’s watch on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a very emotional and shocking moment for him. Let us tell you that the Prime Minister has been wearing a watch of Jaipur Watch Company, which has a lion engraved on it, for the last 8 months. On this, Gaurav Mehta clearly said, ‘This was not the result of any promotion, gift or request. PM Modi wore his watch as per his personal choice, which gave confidence and new identity to his brand.

A journey full of 13 years of struggle and learning

Gaurav Mehta said that the journey of the last 13 years has not been easy, but every stage taught something new. At a time when the Indian market was dominated by foreign watches, it was a big challenge to establish an unknown local brand. His interest in watches since childhood inspired him to step into this field.

Startup started without any big plan

Recalling the beginning of Jaipur Watch Company, he said that the first collection was launched in the year 2013 and the second in 2015. At that time he neither had big investment nor any big business plan. He said that when the first watch was ready, the biggest challenge was how to deliver it to the customers. Despite limited budget and resources, he took the brand forward with patience.

Indian culture is the biggest strength

Talking about themed watches related to Ram Temple and Indian heritage, Gaurav Mehta said that they do not have the huge marketing capability like foreign brands, but their connection with Indian culture is their biggest strength. He admitted that for a long time Indian consumers have had the mentality of considering foreign brands as better, but now this thinking is changing rapidly. He told that in a program at Ram Mandir, PM Modi was wearing a watch of Jaipur Watch Company in his hand. Apart from this, many other leaders wear our company’s watches.

Desi and traditional trends are returning among the youth

According to Gaurav Mehta, today’s youth is again returning to their Indian roots. Despite the era of smartwatches, the demand for traditional and classic watches is again increasing. He said that positive growth is visible in the Indian watch market, which is bringing big opportunities for local brands.

Moscow, the capital of Russia, is now becoming the new and affordable luxury destination of Europe for Indian tourists. In fact, in the first 6 months of 2025, an increase of up to 40 percent has been recorded in the number of Indian tourists coming here. Earlier, the first choice of Indian tourists used to be Europe, Asia and other countries. Now Moscow has created its identity in terms of culture, modernity and hospitality. In such a situation, let us tell you today why Moscow is becoming the new choice of Indian tourists.

Why is Moscow becoming the choice of Indians?

The biggest reason for the increasing popularity of Moscow is the e-Visa system which has now become very easy for Indians. Earlier it was quite difficult to get a visa for Russia, but now any traveler can get a visa online in four days. For this, hotel booking and invitation letter is no longer required like before. Apart from this, direct flights from India to Moscow and cheap travel packages are also attracting Indian tourists. At the same time, a special Indian Vibes in Moscow guide has been released for Indians in Moscow, in which information about Indian restaurants, temples and special places to visit is also given.

India Russia’s old friendship is also becoming a reason

The long-standing friendly relations between India and Russia are also a major reason for the increase in tourism. The popularity of Indian music, yoga and Bollywood films still remains in Moscow. Every year programs like India Fest and Yoga Day are organized in Moscow, in which a large number of people participate. At the same time, during the Summer in Moscow Festival of 2025, many events related to Indian culture were organized, due to which Indian tourists feel a sense of belonging.

Effect of tourism visible in hotel booking

In the first seven months of 2025, the number of foreign guests in Moscow hotels increased by 14 percent. The special thing is that Indian tourists made maximum bookings in premium hotels. According to the report, 94 percent of hotel bookings in summer were by travelers from non-CIS countries. Whereas last year this figure was 85 percent. Apart from this, Moscow Government is taking many steps to connect with the Indian tourism industry. Moscow Tourism Committee has participated in major travel events of India. Apart from this, this year OTOAI Convention 2025 was also held in Moscow, in which more than 250 Indian tour operators and travel professionals participated.

Also read: Red Fort Blast: You cannot do shopping in Chandni Chowk for how long, how much did the routine of the market change after the blast?
