Russian President Vladimir Putin is coming to India for two days on Thursday (December 4, 2025). Not just India, the entire world is talking about Putin’s visit. Three months ago, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Putin met in Tianjin, China, the whole world talked about their friendship. Both had reached China for the SCO summit.

The Russian President is coming to India at a time when India has to pay heavy tariffs to buy oil from Russia. Despite this, the whole world has been shocked to see India’s GDP growth. Only last month, the Finance Ministry said that India’s GDP growth rate was recorded at 8.2 percent in the third quarter from July to September. The whole world is surprised to see this figure because it was being estimated that India’s economy could be affected due to the huge tariffs imposed by America.

Now if we talk about the economies of both the countries, Russia’s economy is half that of India. This year, India has become the fourth largest economy in the world, leaving behind Japan. India’s total GDP is 4.3 trillion dollars, while Russia’s GDP is 2.54 trillion dollars. Russia ranks ninth among the world’s largest economies.

US President Donald Trump has imposed a penalty of 25 percent tariff on India for purchasing oil from Russia, whereas he had already increased the tariff by 25 percent. He says that India imposes higher tariff than America, in return they have imposed 25 percent tariff and they have imposed additional 25 percent tariff as a penalty for buying Russian oil.

Putin will reach Delhi in the evening and will meet Prime Minister Modi at his residence directly from the airport. PM Modi has also organized a private dinner for him. Many agreements related to energy, trade and defense are likely to be signed in this meeting. Apart from this, many international level issues can also be discussed, due to which US President Donald Trump and the leaders of Pakistan, China and Ukraine are paying special attention to the meeting.

India’s GDP has once again done wonders. According to the data of the National Statistical Office, in the second quarter (July-September) of the financial year 2025-26, India’s economy has performed better than expected and recorded a strong growth rate of 8.2 percent. India’s performance is being discussed in Pakistan also. Pak expert Tahir Gora has congratulated India for this and expressed embarrassment over the condition of his country.

Tahir Gora said that India is developing at a growth rate of 8.2 percent and Pakistan is counting how many operations were conducted against terrorism. He said that Pakistani Army spokesperson is saying that from November 4 to November 28, 4,910 operations were conducted against terrorism. Tahir Gora said that see the difference between the two countries that India is noting its growth rate at a record level with 8.2 percent and Pakistan is counting terrorism related operations.

He said, ‘The whole world is surprised to see this growth rate of India. US President Donald Trump had said that India’s economy is dead and India’s leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi was also saying that yes our economy is far behind, but now the whole world and even the Indians themselves are surprised to see this figure.

Tahir Gora said that Indians were expecting that even if the growth rate is around 6.7 percent then it is a big thing, even then it is more than the whole world, but India comes at a growth rate of 8.2 and here the spokesperson of Pakistani Army is counting the operations against terrorism. He said, ‘I was telling repeatedly that I was not able to count these operations. I thought this figure would be in hundreds, yet I was not able to count them. Now the Army spokesperson says that 4,910 operations were conducted i.e. hundreds of operations were being conducted in a day. These are the circumstances.

Tahir Gora said that two couplets are coming to his mind on this condition of Pakistan. These couplets are by Punjabi Urdu poet Baba Abeer Abbu Zari of Pakistan. These are the couplets – ‘Every day there are explosions in some cities, there is continuous chaos in my country. We did not even invent anything, their wonders are visible continuously. These are the couplets that Pakistanis can sing.

Tahir Gora said, ‘Congratulations for India’s growth rate of 8.2 percent and it is beyond my understanding as to what I should congratulate Pakistan for. Should I congratulate him for the calculations he is making?

Financial service company JP Morgan has said about India that even if there is a war, India’s economy will not be affected. JP Morgan said this about the trade war and described India as safe haven in trade war. JP Morgan says that in the coming time, India will emerge as a safe haven or a safe base and there will be tremendous boom in the economy.

JP Morgan says that India’s GDP is expected to be the highest among its coverage countries. JP Morgan has expressed a positive attitude towards the emerging markets in the latest report. He overrated their ratings of their emerging market equity from neutral, which means that he is looking at the possibilities of development in emerging markets. & Nbsp;

JP Morgan has said about India that the second round of trade war can begin in the world, but in this situation India will emerge as a safe haven. In tariff war large countries increase import duty on each other’s goods, as it was between China and America in the past and both increased the tariff duty on each other to 245 %. & Nbsp;

When big countries take such steps, it gives instability in business and investors start looking for a safe place. JP Morgan believes that India can become a favorite place for such investors due to its strong fundamentals and stable policies.

JP Morgan has also said positive things about India’s economic bicycle. He says that India’s economic cycle is moving towards a positive change, for which many factors are responsible. JP Morgan has described things like cutting interest rates, increase in demand in rural areas and tax cuts as its important factor.

Due to low interest rate, loans become cheap for people and companies. In this way investment and expenses increase, which benefits the economy. Increasing demand in rural areas will have an impact on India’s economy in such a way that the large population of India lives in rural areas, if the demand increases there, then it is a big sign to increase the economy of the country. Talking about tax deduction, if the government reduces tax, then people and companies have more money left for spending and investment, which gives the country economic incentives. & Nbsp;

World’s top economy by 2100: Many think tanks have predicted India’s economy. Given the country’s growth rate, he believes that India will occupy the crown of Germany in 2026 and Japan’s third largest superpower in 2026. Talking about the five biggest economies, India is at number five at the moment, while Germany is on the fourth, Japan on the third, China on the second and America at number one.

It is just a few years to reach the fourth, third and second number, but India will have to wait for a decade to reach the first place. This is predicted in the PWC report. According to the report, by the year 2050, India will become the second largest economy in the world and the country which will overtake India to come to the number of number, is America.

China will remain the world’s largest economy for 70 years
It was told in the report that China will become the world’s largest economy, and after that it will remain in it for 70 years. The analysis of reports shows that it will take 100 years for India to take the crown of the top superpower from China. According to Morgan Stanley, India’s economy was $ 3.5 trillion in 2023, which will be at $ 4.7 trillion by 2026 and India will be at number three in 2028 with $ 5.7 trillion.

India will take 100 years to reach number one
Another report said that India’s economy will be $ 52.5 trillion in 2075. At that time, China’s economy will be $ 57 trillion. The PWC report said that India will take 100 years to become the largest economy because when China’s economy is $ 100 trillion, then India will be at $ 70 trillion.

In the year 2100, China will become a $ 101.86 trillion economy, while India will be at only 70 trillion dollars. Because of this, India will have to wait at least 100 years to come first from another.

Donald Trump Tariff Policy: US President Donald Trump has recently announced a “Reciperook Tariff” policy, under which the US will now impose the same tariffs on other countries that it puts on American goods. This decision has created a stir in the global business world. The economies of many countries may be affected by this, but this situation has brought both relief and opportunity for India. However, when you look at the family per family, you will know that every year Indian families may suffer a loss of a few thousand rupees due to Trump’s tariff policy.

How much damage can Indian families suffer

The impact of this tariff policy on India’s economy is expected to be limited. Experts say that this will reduce India’s GDP only 0.19 percent, which is equal to the fall in income of Rs 2396 per family annually. The reason for this is India’s strong domestic demand and its limited stake in global exports (2.4 percent).

India is a major trading partner of America. Between April and February 2025, India has exported goods worth $ 395.63 billion to the US. Increasing tariffs will definitely affect textile, electronics and agricultural products. Understand this that India sends clothes worth $ 8 billion and $ 5 billion agricultural products to America every year. But due to more tariffs on countries like Bangladesh and Vietnam, Indian products will be relatively cheap and exports can get a new opportunity.

India is in good condition

Under Trump’s new tariff policy, a base tariff of 10 percent has been imposed on all countries, in which 26 percent additional fee has been added to India. At the same time, 34 percent tariff will be applicable on China, 46 percent on Vietnam, 37 percent on Bangladesh and 20 percent on European Union. In such a situation, India seems to be in a better position than in compatible countries, because Indian goods will still be comparatively cheap in the American market.

America in danger of stagflation

At the same time, there is a danger of increasing inflation and stopping economic growth in America, which is called ‘stagflation’. Apart from this, if other countries apply counter tariffs, then the global trade can become a situation of war. In such a situation, this is the time to create new strategies for India and find new markets.

The government is working fast on dumping dumping to protect domestic industries and trade agreement with the US. If India is able to make effective trade deals with the US, UK and Gulf countries, then areas like textile, electronics and semiconductor can benefit greatly.

India-asa news: US President Donald Trump has announced a tariff on India. On April 2, how much this tariff will be will be, everyone’s eyes are on from Dalal Street to Mint Street, from boardroom to policy corridors. Trump has said many times before that India imposes the most tariffs compared to other countries, so America will also impose tariffs on India in the same proportion.

According to data from the World Trade Organization (WTO), India’s average tariff in 2023-24 was 12 percent, while the US had only 2.2 percent. In an interview to Breetbart News on March 19, Trump said, “I believe that India is going to cut its tariff soon, but from April 2 we will put as much tariff on them as they put on us.” Now the question arises that how much will this decision affect India? Let us know what effect it will have:

Learn what S&P Global’s report says

In the new report, S&P Global has said that India’s strong economy and low dependence on America can save it from the effects of Trump tariff. According to the report, the share of exports in India’s GDP is only 10 percent, which will limit the direct impact of tariffs.

Trump again reiterated the policy of ‘reciperook tariff’

However, it can definitely be seen on some sectors. The report of S&P states that India’s less business connectivity with the US reduces the risk risk, but can affect steel and chemical sectors. The rating agency also said that most of the Indian companies obtained by rating are capable of facing temporarily income loss.

Fittch: India protected from some extent tariff effect

Fittch has predicted India’s GDP growth rate of 6.5 percent in FY 2025-26. However, the agency has warned that if the American trade policies become more strict than expected, it can become a big risk for India’s economic growth.

According to FITCH, India’s business confidence remains strong, and according to the bank loan survey, the loan to the private sector is increasing by double digits. The agency believes that India’s economy is somewhat safe from the impact of American tariff policies due to low depending on external demand.

Moody’s: Steel, Auto and Chemical Sector most affected

According to the Moody’s Rating reports, the automotive, steel, chemicals and business areas of South and South-East Asia can become the biggest victims of the American tariffs. This may reduce the demand for these industries and increase the cost.

However, Moody’s said that mining, oil and gas, shipping, investment holding companies and agricultural and protein sectors are the most capable of tolerating this effect.

Negative impact on Indian growth rate

According to Goldman Sachs, the tariff of Trump may get a shock of 10 to 60 basis points (BPS). The report said that India’s gross export to the US is only 2% of GDP, which is the lowest in the emerging markets. However, if the US implements global tariffs to all countries, then the impact of India’s domestic economic activity on the final demand of America can be doubled. This can affect the Indian GDP growth rate from 0.1% to 0.6%.

America can impose tariffs on India in three ways:

Applying tariffs based on average tariff difference on all products imported from India.

Profits equal to India’s tariff on every product.

Applying non-tariff measures, such as administrative obstacles, import license conditions, etc.

Goldman Sachs believes that any of these ways can affect India’s economy, but India’s trading relations with America being comparatively limited may be less than in other countries.
