Bangladeshi Foreign Ministry issued a statement

The Ministry of External Affairs on Sunday (December 28, 2025) rejected India’s claims on the situation of minority communities in Bangladesh, saying, these comments do not reflect the ground reality. Bangladesh has termed such comments as false and misleading. The ministry said Bangladesh strongly rejects anything that misrepresents the country’s long-standing tradition of communal harmony.

Along with this, the statement expressed concern that a systematic effort is being made to portray ‘sporadic criminal incidents’ as organized oppression of Hindus and to use such comments to spread anti-Bangladesh sentiments in some parts of India.
