Amidst the ongoing tension in the Pacific Ocean, China has completed the third aircraft carrier ‘Fujian’. On Saturday, China’s PLA-Navy released a video of the operational demo of Fujian. This week, the commissioning ceremony of Fujian was organized in the presence of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The special thing is that this new aircraft carrier of China is based on electromagnetic catapult technology. Till now America’s Gerald Ford class aircraft carrier warships were equipped with this technology. Electronic catapult technology allows fighter aircraft to take off and land from the small runway deck of an aircraft carrier.

China’s conflict with Philippines

China has built the third aircraft carrier at a time when there is tension with the Philippines in the South China Sea. In the last two years, there have been many violent clashes between the navies of China and the Philippines. China alleges that the Philippines is in a confrontation mode with China at the instigation of America.

Along with the South China Sea, China’s attitude towards Taiwan is also very heated. Recently, US President Donald Trump had claimed that the Chinese President has assured not to attack Taiwan.

India’s worries may increase

China’s third aircraft carrier can also become a cause of concern for India. Because China’s activities in the Indian Ocean region are continuously increasing. Chinese warships, survey vessels and submarines can be seen in the Indian Ocean every day.

Vice Chief of Indian Navy had said this

Recently, Indian Navy’s Vice Chief (Vice Admiral) Sanjay Vatsyayan had said that Chinese warships are completely monitored in the Indian Ocean from the time they enter till their exit.

India has two aircraft carrier warships

India has 02 aircraft carrier warships (INS Vikrant and Vikramaditya). The Indian Navy is also demanding a third aircraft but has not yet received the green signal from the government.

A few years ago, the then (now late) Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat had dashed the Navy’s hopes of a third aircraft carrier by saying that the Andaman Nicobar Islands could play the role of the Navy’s static aircraft carrier. Because Andaman Nicobar has a very strategic location in the Indian Ocean, from where China’s maritime activities can be closely monitored.

China has included the third aircraft carrier Fujian in its naval fleet. It is said to be the most modern warship equipped with an electromagnetic catapult, which helps fighter jets and other types of aircraft to fly. Chinese President Xi Jinping was also present at the secret ceremony organized on the occasion of Fujian’s inclusion in the Chinese Navy.

Fujian is equipped with an Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS), which is used only on the US aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford. According to the news of South China Morning Post, US President Donald Trump said last week that he wants to abandon EMALS technology and go back to steam energy.

China is also building a fourth aircraft carrier

He described this advanced launch system as expensive, unreliable and difficult to repair. Although all three Chinese aircraft carriers are conventionally powered, recent reports state that China is reportedly building its fourth aircraft carrier in Dalian, which could be powered by nuclear energy to provide significantly more power to run advanced systems while increasing its capability and global reach.

China, last on the list of major countries to have aircraft carriers for its navy, currently has two aircraft carriers: Liaoning, a refit of a Soviet-era ship commissioned in 2012, and Shandong, an indigenous aircraft carrier due to be commissioned in 2019.

Fujian China’s largest aircraft carrier

Fujian was inducted after the army said carrier-based aircraft J-15T, J-35 and Kongjing-600 had successfully completed training on catapult-assisted take-off and arrested landing on its flat deck. All three aircraft carriers are conventionally operated. Fujian is the largest of these with a displacement of 80,000 tons.

Analysts say that with rising tensions with the US, China may build more aircraft carriers to operate in various global sea routes. According to China’s government news agency Xinhua, Xi Jinping was briefed about Fujian’s combat capabilities and the use of its advanced electromagnetic catapult. It was he who instructed the Navy to use EMALS technology.

Where can Fujian be deployed?

Jinping was briefed by the commanding officers and pilots about the technical and tactical performance of the aircraft and the benefits of the electromagnetic catapult. Apart from this, President Jinping visited the tower and took information about flight command, take-off and landing operations. With the operation of the third aircraft carrier, it is expected that the Chinese Navy can deploy it in the area around the Taiwan Strait and the disputed South China Sea.

China considers Taiwan a part of its mainland. It also claims most of the South China Sea. He claims the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei and Taiwan.

India’s tension may increase

With the Fujian operation, China can also expand the deployment of aircraft carriers in the Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea, areas near India, where its naval fleet is active. In this region, it has naval bases in Djibouti located in the Horn of Africa and Gwadar in Pakistan, apart from this it also has control over the commercial port Hambantota located in Sri Lanka.

According to a recent BBC report, China now has the world’s largest operational fleet, with 234 warships, while the US Navy has only 219. The Indian Navy, which operates aircraft carriers INS Vikrant and INS Vikramaditya, is also moving into the region by inducting more naval ships to maintain its dominance in the Indian Ocean.

China is also making a new fighter jet

China is developing a new fighter aircraft that can operate from its carrier groups. Zhang Junshe, an expert on Chinese military affairs, told China’s state-owned Global Times that Fujian’s joining the navy marks achievements in the transformation of the PLA navy from coastal defense to far-sea defence.

Zhang said that Fujian’s joining the Navy will boost the PLA Navy’s capability along with three major changes. First, the use of electromagnetic catapult system, which enables aircraft to take off with full fuel and ammunition, thereby expanding the scope of combat and also enhancing attack capability.

Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan, Vice Chief of the Indian Navy, has said that the three services of India are keeping a close eye on the growing relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan. He said that we are keeping an eye on all the situations and incidents and are taking necessary steps.

This statement has come at a time when the interim government formed in Bangladesh after the ouster of Sheikh Hasina from power has taken steps towards strengthening its relations with Pakistan. Pakistan’s Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Chairman General Sahir Shamshad Mirza recently met the head of the new government, Muhammad Yunus. In this meeting, trade, investment and defense cooperation between the two countries were discussed. Bangladesh’s National Security Advisor Dr. Khalilur Rahman, Senior Secretary Lamia Morshed and Pakistan’s High Commissioner Imran Haider were present in the meeting.

What did Vice Admiral Vatsayan tell?

Vice Admiral Vatsayan also said that both America and Russia will participate in the upcoming International Fleet Review and Milan exercise. He said, “Both countries have confirmed sending their ships and some aircraft are also expected to arrive.” He said that so far 55 countries have expressed their desire to participate in these events, and this number may increase further in the coming months.

Vice Admiral Vatsayan said that there are always 40 to 50 foreign ships present in the Indian Ocean, whose activities are constantly monitored by the Indian Navy. He said, “We know where which ships are, when they arrive and when they leave. The Indian Ocean is the main route for oil and cargo transportation around the world, and there are many challenges associated with it such as piracy, human trafficking and drug trafficking.”

He said that this year the Navy has inducted 10 ships and one submarine and four more ships will be inducted by December. 19 more ships are likely to be added next year.

Vice Admiral A.N. Pramod said this

Director General of Naval Operations Vice Admiral A.N. Pramod said that the objective of the ongoing tri-service exercise in Gujarat coast and North Arabian Sea is to increase coordination between land, sea and air forces. Coast Guard, BSF and other central agencies are also included in this. 20-25 naval ships and more than 40 Air Force fighter and support aircraft are participating in this exercise.

IFR will be organized in 2026

The Indian Navy will conduct the International Fleet Review (IFR) at Visakhapatnam in February 2026, in which President Draupadi Murmu will review the naval fleet on 18 February.

A special submarine tender (ship) of America’s Sevanth (07) Fleet, which once stands against India, has visited Chennai. This ship named USS Frank Cabble is part of the US’s seventh warship fleet and is also used for maintenance and repair of submarines of friends and countries of the Indo-Pacific region. However, this submarine tender tour to Chennai is to increase coordination and cooperation between the Navy of India and the US.

Frank cable’s visit to Chennai is considered very important amidst the ongoing tension between India and America. This US ship is stationed at the US Military Base Guam in the Pacific Ocean and came to Chennai for interaction with the Indian Navy these days. After staying in Chennai for about a week, on Wednesday (August 27, 2025), Delhi-based US Embassy gave information about the logistic cooperation of Frank Cabil’s Logistics with the Indian Navy’s Indus-Vijay submarine.

Logistic support agreement between India and America

Frank cable and Indus-Vijay submarine were anchored together in Chennai. During this time, Indian Navy officials visited Frank Cabble and knew his maintenance capabilities. In fact, there is a logistic support agreement between India and the United States, under which the warships of the two countries can come to each other’s naval base for ships and submarines, refueling etc.

According to Captain Mike Thompson, Commanding Officer of Frank Cable, the Indian Navy’s submarine fleet is continuously increasing. In such a situation, it is very important to share information about their abilities with the navies of friendly countries. According to the US Embassy, like Chennai, Frank Cable has also increased logistic cooperation with the navies of Australia and South Korea in recent years.

In the year 2023, Kattupalli reached Bandarganah near Chennai Usns Charles Dryu

While stopping in Chennai, Frank Cabble’s crew visited a local college and met the students and shared information about the US Navy. Also got information about his partner (countries). Like Frank Cabble, USNS Charles Dril (Dry Cargo Ship) visited the Military C-Lift Command of the US Military C-Lupt Command in 2023 in 2023, near the Kattupalli port near Chennai.

America’s seventh fleet reached the Bay of Bengal amidst the war with Indo-Pak in 1971

In Operation Sindoor, there is a tussle between India and the US over arbitration and tariff war with Pakistan. A similar tension was seen during the 1971 war, when the US fleet in support of Pakistan reached the Bay of Bengal. But after Russia (erstwhile Soviet Union) warships reached the Indian Ocean of the warship fleet, America’s Sevanth Fleet pulled back its feet against India. In the war, Pakistan not only had to face mouth but also two pieces and the new country Bangladesh was born.

After the war with Israel in June, Iran conducted its first single military exercise on Thursday (August 21, 2025). According to media reports, this military exercise was done by Iran to show its strength again to the world.

According to CNN report, the Iranian Armed Forces forces fired missiles and drones at open water bases in the Indian Ocean during ‘Sustainable Power 1404’. This exercise by Iran has been done about a month after the Iran-Russia exercise named Cassarex 2025 in the Northern Water Area (Caspian Sea).

America did air strike with Israel

‘Sustainable Power 1404’ practice is taking place in the southern water area of Iran. Israel did an air strike for 12 days during the war with Iran, which also joined America for some time. Israel bombed Iran’s prominent places and killed big military commanders and nuclear scientists.

During the war, Israel also destroyed Iran’s military bases and it is believed that Iran’s ballistic weapons were also destroyed by the Israeli continuous attack. Iran’s Defense Ministry said on Thursday that a befitting reply will be given to any new attack of the enemy.

American warns Iran

At the same time, US President Donald Trump has warned Iran that if he rejected his nuclear bases including uranium enrichment plants, America will attack it. After the strike of Israel and the United States, Iran postponed the US talks to curb nuclear weapons. Iran has denied any intention of developing a atomic bomb.

Iran’s diplomat said on Wednesday (August 20, 2025) that Iran believes that the time for ‘effective’ nuclear dialogue with the US has not come yet. However, Iran will not completely close cooperation with the United Nations Nuclear Monitoring Institute.

The Indian Air Force is going to exercise about a three-day (till 19-21 August) of LoC adjacent to Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday (August 19, 2025) amid the ongoing tension from Pakistan since Operation Sindoor. In this regard, the Indian Air Force has issued a notem.

This is the first time after Operation Sindoor that the Indian Air Force is going to do any exercise in Jammu and Kashmir. So far, the Air Force air exercises have been done in Gujarat and Rajasthan many times, but for the first time in the northern region.

IAF Did not give any information about exercise

No official information has been revealed by the Indian Air Force (IAF) about this exercise. But it is believed that Srinagar and Avantipura Airbase of Jammu and Kashmir can be involved in this exercise. A warning has also been issued for the areas of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh adjacent to Jammu and Kashmir in the notice to Airman (NOM) issued by the Air Force. In such a situation, it is believed that Ambala Airbase (Haryana) adjacent to Adampur, Halwara and Himachal in Punjab can also participate in exercise.

Pakistan will come under tension"/>

This poll will run from 1.30 pm on Tuesday (August 19) to Thursday (August 21) from 5.30 am. During this time, flying of any kind of civil or (of any other country) military aircraft in this area will be completely banned.

US Secretary of State expressed apprehension

At the same time, on Sunday (August 17, 2025), America’s Foreign Secretary (Minister) Marco Rubio feared a ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Rubio had said that America, India and Pakistan are monitoring.

Pakistan’s 11 airbase in Operation Sindoor destroyed

The special thing is that since Operation Sindoor, many airbases of Pakistan have been closed and are not able to do the operation. Because the Indian Air Force had destroyed 11 airbase of Pakistan in its airstrikes. On August 16, the Pakistani Air Force issued a notice saying that Rahim Yar Khan Airbase is closed till 22 August. Because during Operation Sindoor, the runway of this airbase was destroyed by the Indian Air Force. Many feet deep pits were formed on the runway.

No fly zone declared 4,790 km in Indian Ocean region

Apart from the Air Force’s polls, India has also issued a notem for a long distance missile test on 20-21 August. In this poll, a no fly zone of about 4,790 km has been declared in the Indian Ocean region. The test will be conducted from the Odisha coast, in which a long distance missile will be fired from sites like Balasore and Abdul Kalam Island. It is estimated that this test may be for Agni-6 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) or hypersonic missile.

Of the eight Hungor category submarines with China, China has handed over the third submarine to PAK. This move of Beijing is an important part of the efforts to support Pakistan’s growing presence in the Indian Ocean near India, upgrading Islamabad’s naval strength.

China’s official newspaper ‘Global Times’ reported on Saturday (August 16, 2025) that the splash ceremony of the third submarine of Hungor-grade was held on Thursday in Wuhan, China. The second submarine of the 8 submarines being made by China for Pakistan was handed over in March this year.

It is in addition to the four modern naval fighter ships that China has given to Pakistan in the last few years. This supply is part of his efforts to increase Pakistan’s naval strength amidst the continuous expansion of the Chinese Navy in the Arabian Sea, where it is developing the Gwadar port in Balochistan as well as developing in the Indian Ocean.

What did Pakistan’s Defense Department say?

A statement by the Pakistan Defense Department was quoted as saying that on the occasion of the watering of the third submarine, Pakistan’s Deputy Navy Chief Project-2 Vice Admiral Abdul Samad said that the state-of-the-art weapons and upgrade censors of the Hunger-class submarine would be helpful in maintaining the balance and maritime stability.

What else China has given to Pakistan?

According to a recent report by Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (Sipri), China has supplied more than 81 percent military hardware to Pakistan. In 2022, China handed over the first consignment of the Multipurpose J-10 CE fighter aircraft to the Pakistani Air Force, which is in addition to the JF-17 fighter aircraft jointly manufactured by both countries. Pakistan used these fighter aircraft in a recent struggle with India.

The specialty of Hungor category submarine

Chinese military affairs expert Zhang Junashe told ‘Global Times’ that the characteristic of the Hungor category submarine is a strong underwater fighter capacity, including comprehensive sensor system, excellent ‘stealth’ features, high mobility, once fueling included and the ability to live under water for a long time includes the ability to live under water for a long time.

Us Military Deployment in Indian Ocean: The United States has deployed its warship fleet on the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, around India. This information has been revealed by an satellite imagery issued by Open-SOS Intelligence analyst MT Anderson. America’s airbase was present earlier on this island, but the recent deployment has made it the center of strategic activities again.

Which war aircraft were deployed?
Satellite imagery has revealed that the US Air Force has deployed a large deployment of state -of -the -art war planes on the Diego Garcia Military Base. There are four b-52 bombers aircraft, which are capable of carrying nuclear weapons and attacking a very long distance. In addition, six F-15 fighter jets have also been deployed, which are counted in aircraft with ability to establish dominance in the air and immediately deal with any contingent threat. Along with these, six KC-135 tanker aircraft are also present on this base, which work fueling in other aircraft in the air during air missions, which increases the fire and operational capacity of the US Air Force manifold.

Why is Diego Garcia important?
Diego Garcia Island is very important strategically. It is located about 1800 km south of India, 4700 km south-east from Iran and about 3000 miles from China. The island is part of the Chagos Islands, which was given by Britain to the US in the 1960s. The US established a military base on the island in the 1970s to challenge the strategic lead of Soviet Russia.

This military base has more than 3600 meters long runway, which is fully capable of operating heavy bombers and cargo aircraft. There is also a port of deep water here, which provides the facilities necessary for the stoppage of nuclear submarines and naval ships.

American eye on Iran and China together
This military deployment on Diego Garcia reflects the US dual strategy. On the one hand, it is a sign of deepening tension about Iran. Recently, even after the struggle between Israel and Iran, there may have been a ceasefire, but the situation in the middle East still remains very sensitive. The US fears that Iran may again intensify nuclear enrichment and that is why diplomatic dialogues have come to a standstill. Diego Garcia has previously displayed the military capability to attack the US Iran with a long range and this time also has been fully prepared for a possible response.

On the other hand, America’s concern about increasing stress with China is also deep. China’s aggressive military activities in the Indo-Pacific Ocean region and its claims in the South China Sea are constantly creating a situation of conflict. In view of its military exercises and maritime security partnerships with American allies such as Japan, the Philippines and Australia, the US needed a permanent strategic hideout to control China. Diego Garcia fulfills this need.

India-france deal: To further increase the strength of the Navy, the Modi government has approved a proposal of Rs 64,000 crore to buy 26 Rafael-Merin fighter jets from France. These fighter jets will operate from India’s first domestic aircraft career INS Vikrant. It was commissioned in September 2022.

The deal, approved by the Cabinet Committee on Security Affairs (CCS) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, includes 22 single seater career-competent Rafale-M Jet and four twin-seater trainer variants. The delivery will start three and a half years after the signing of this deal and is expected to be completed by 2031.

Why is this deal important?

The Rafale-M 4.5 generation Rafael is the Navy variant of the fighter aircraft and has been developed by the French aerospace firm Dassault Aviation. It has already proved its fighter capacity, it is capable of carrying a variety of weapons including nuclear-capable missiles. The Indian Air Force (IAF) is already operating two squadrons of Rafale Jet. In 2016, 36 aircraft were purchased for Rs 59,000 crore.

Rafael-M surpassed its anti-Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet after extensive tests conducted by the Indian Navy. These also included important ski-jump tests, which takes a small flight from the Indian aircraft carrier using Stobar (Short Tech-Off Butt Arrest Recovery) system. Rafael-M performed extraordinary. Its compatibility with the current Rafale fleet of the Indian Air Force made it even better.

Writing for the Eurasian Times, Group Captain MJ Augustine Vinod (retired) said, “The Indian Air Force and the Rafale aircraft of the Rafale aircraft will reduce the logistics burden in the logistics, which will be possible to deploy cross-service in emergency situations.”

This deal is not just to buy new jets but with removing its shortcomings. The current fleet of the Navy’s MiG-29K aircraft has caused problems due to reliability, continuous maintenance demand and limited availability. These aircraft are posted on INS Vikramaditya.

What is its specialty?

This can be associated with nuclear capabilities, which will give India a reliable option to carry nuclear weapons by air from the sea. This is a dimension that no one can ignore the anti -regional. This fighter jet has proved its ability on several occasions. The strike mission in Afghanistan, Libya, Iraq and Syria has also been carried out.

How to become invincible combination

India’s indigenous aircraft career INS Vikrant and Rafael Marines are together, then India can deal with any danger in the whole of South Asia without being away from its place. The way China has tried to surround India in the Indian Ocean for the last several years, this power will also prove to be effective in dealing with it. India will also be able to monitor China’s activities and the grip will be strong.

On the other hand, Pakistan has very little career operational power. If compared to Rafael Marine, the neighboring country is far behind, it has no such maritime strength. The ability to monitor the Indian Ocean is also negligible. In such a situation, India can encircle the Pakistani port from Karachi to Gwadar if needed.

Now India will get such strength in the sea from Rafael Marine Jet which was only with select countries. They include countries like France, America and China. After the arrival of these fighter jets, India will not only be able to protect itself, but can also help its friendly countries in crisis.
