Major political parties, including Nepali Communist Party, CPN-UML, Rashtriya Prajatantra Party and Janata Samajwadi Party, issued a joint statement on 12 April opposing the ban on vehicles registered in India. It was demanded that such vehicles should be allowed to move freely within a radius of 30 kilometers of the border as before.
