This is the story of the country’s first female truck driver Yogita Raghuvanshi, who not only made her mark by driving a truck, but has also become an inspiration for thousands of women today.

Yogita Raghuvanshi had told in a program that even today truck drivers have to face many problems. He said that many times such situations arise on the road, where drivers are stopped without any reason and have to wait for hours. According to him, in this era of technology when most of the documents and payments have become online, drivers still have to face unnecessary problems at many places.

Became the country’s first female truck driver in 2006

Yogita’s journey was not easy. In the year 2006, she obtained a license to drive heavy vehicles and had the distinction of becoming the first woman truck driver in the country. Yogita tells that she did not choose this path out of any hobby, but took this step to improve the financial condition of the family.

Left a job worth Rs 3,000 and started a new journey

Before driving a truck, Yogita used to work in a job where she got around Rs 3,000 per month. It was difficult to run a household with this much money. During this time he started thinking about truck driving. When he started truck driving, he earned around Rs 2,000 in the first week.

First journey from Bhopal to Hyderabad

Yogita’s first truck journey was also quite memorable. She started working with the truck of an acquaintance of her husband. For the first time he drove a truck from Bhopal to Hyderabad. He covered the distance of about 1100 kilometers in three days.

After years of hard work, today Yogita is the owner of her own truck. He has a 10-wheeler truck, which he received as a mark of respect from an automobile company. Now she herself decides which route to take and which goods to travel with.

According to Yogita, she saves around Rs 30 thousand in a long distance trip. If several trips are completed in a month, their earnings become many times more than a normal job.
