A three -day program was held in Delhi on the centenary year of RSS. On the last day, Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat gave his views on the population. He said in clear terms that the population can be a burden for a country and opportunity. Now it depends on how we handle it. He said another important thing. Mohan Bhagwat said that if the number of children of families in a society is less than three, then gradually the existence of that society is in danger.

That is, along with population control, such a population is also necessary, which can keep the society and the country in balance. Now there is a need to understand here that if every man starts producing three children, then how much will the population of the country be and what is in reality the fertility rate in the country? Let’s understand this.

India’s population

India has become the most populous country in the world. Leaving China behind, now the population of India has exceeded 1.43 billion. In such a situation, whenever there is talk of three children in the country, then the question arises that what can be its effect on the population of India. Actually, the scale of growing or decreasing population is measured by fertility rate. Fertility rate means how many children give birth to a average during their lifetime.

How much fertility rate is there in the country

Earlier, fertility rates in India used to be very high. In the 1950s, a woman produced four to five children on an average. But over time, this number gradually decreased. According to the latest figures, India’s fertility rate has come at around 2.0. The easy way to understand this is that if the fertility rate falls below 2.1, then it is believed that the population will no longer grow rapidly, but gradually it will start getting stable. This is the situation in India at this time.

What can be the situation after three children

If then the thinking of three children becomes common among people, then the fertility rate will reach above 2.1. As soon as this happens, the speed of the population will start growing again. This will directly affect the resources of the country. Already, there is a lot of pressure in areas like education, health and employment, in such a situation, if the population increases, then the situation can be more difficult. At present, the fertility rates in many states of South India like Kerala and Tamil Nadu have reached 1.6 to 1.7. That is, the population there has become stable, but can also decrease in the coming time.

Which states are increasing population

On the contrary, the fertility rate in states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh is still higher. If we look at Bihar’s figure, it is about 2.9 and about 2.4 in Uttar Pradesh. These are the states that are carrying forward the total population of India. In big cities, people are now moving towards one or two children. In such a situation, if the trend of three children started again on a large scale, then the pressure of the population will once again grow rapidly and again the population can become a burden.

India population: India’s population will double from the population of China in the coming few years. Not only this, India will not be a country with youth population. After India and China, America will be at number three, while Pakistan will join the top-5 countries.

According to Pew Research, by 2061, India’s population will increase to 1.7 billion. However, after that the growth rate of the population will fall and in the year 2100 it will fall to 1.5 billion. At this time, the population of China, the second most populous country in the world, will be only 63 crores at this time, which will be about half of India. At the same time, America’s population will be 42 crores.

The most interesting thing in this research is that India’s population will be more than double the population of China after 75 years. While India’s population will be 1.5 billion, there will be a tremendous decline in China’s population and only 63 crores will be left. The reason behind China’s population being so low is that people there have adopted the forest child policy. Although the Communist government of China has abolished this policy, but now the people there are not producing more children.

60% stake in 5 countries in population growth

According to research, after 75 years, 5 countries will have a 60 percent stake in the growth of the world’s population. These will include Congo, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Tanzania. According to this research, there will be no decrease in population explosion in Pakistan. Anyway, measures are not adopted to control the population. It also states that the African country will be the youngest in the world in the coming decades.

Average age will increase to 42 years

America is currently the third largest population country in the world, but by the year 2100 it will be at number six. It has also come to light that the average age of the world will increase to 42 years, which is just 31 years. After 75 years, 2.4 billion people will be elderly, that is, they will be more than 65 years old.

Census 2027: The dates have been announced for the census in India. The census in the country will take place in two phases. The first phase will start from October 1, 2026, during this time there will be a census in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. After this, there will be a second phase of census between February 2027 to 1 March 2027, in which people will be counted in the plains of the country. According to the information received by the central government, from March 1, 2027, data related to the census will start coming out.

Let me tell you, under the provisions of the Census Act, 1948 and Census Rules, 1990 in India. According to the rules, there is a provision for census every 10 years. The last time census was held in the country in 2011, the census could not be done in 2021 due to the Korona epidemic. Now the question is that if countries like Pakistan and Afghanistan were not separated from India, then how much would the population of the country have been? Let’s know …

How much is the population of India?

The last time census took place in India in 2011. Looking at the 2011 census data, India’s population was around 121 crores. It had 62.3 crore male population and 58.6 crore female population. In 2011, the country’s population was seen to be 17.64 percent as compared to 2001. More than 15 years have passed since the census in the country. If we talk about the present time, then the population of the country has reached about 140 crores. India is also on the verge of beating China in terms of population.

How much population is in unbroken India?

Talking about the current population of India, the population of the country has also crossed the figure of 140 crores. In such a situation, if the population of major countries of unbroken India is connected, then there will be a lot of jump in India’s population. In fact, the population of Pakistan, separated after the partition of the country, is more than about 24.75 crores. This figure is 2023. Apart from this, Afghanistan has a population of 4.15 crores. At the same time, the population of Bangladesh is around 17 crores. If these three countries are added, then the total population will reach around 200 crores.

Also read: Can a country also deploy atomic bomb in space? Know what is the rule about this

India Religious Population Growth: Many religions live in India. The population here is also crossing 100 crores. By the year 2020, India’s total population was about 1.4 billion and its religious structure has been gradually changing. By this time, approximately 79 per cent of Indians are Hindus, while 15 per cent are Muslims and 2 per cent Christians. If these figures are compared with the 2011 census, the percentage of Hindus decreased and the Muslims have increased slightly.

According to the report of Pew Research, by 2050 the Hindu population will be 77 percent, while the Muslim population will reach 18 percent. There will be not much change in Christian population and it will remain at 2 percent. Other religious groups, such as Buddhists, Sikhs and Jains, may decrease due to their fertility rate being lower than the national average.

Population increase since partition
At the time of the 1951 census, India’s population was about 361 million. It exceeded 1.2 billion by 2011. This growth rate is more than three times since division. However, today India has become the most populous country in the world after 78 years of independence, which has left China behind.

Counting of Christian population
The counting of Christian population in India is not considered correct because some people of Scheduled Castes (Dalits), who consider themselves to be Christians, are recognized as Hindus for government benefits. In the 2015 National Family Health Survey, 21 per cent of Christians said that they belong to the Scheduled Castes, who refrain from calling themselves Christians in the census.

Decline in the growth rate of religious minorities
Between 1951 and 1961, the Muslim population increased by 32.7 per cent, while India’s total growth rate was 21.6 per cent. However, from 2001 to 2011, this difference decreased by 7 percent points. During this period, the population of Muslims increased by 24.7 percent, while the total Indian population was 17.7 percent. Similarly, the population of Christians increased by 15.7 per cent, which is much slower than the previous decades.

Full statistics of religious population
Although the rise rate of religious groups is decreasing, still all groups are showing millions in full numbers. For example, from 2001 to 2011, the number of Hindus increased by 138 million, while the number of Muslims increased by 34 million. Meanwhile, India’s total population increased by about 200 million people.
