Operation Sindoor: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, on Wednesday (May 7, 2025), in view of the attacks by the Indian Armed Forces in Pakistan, directed the heads of all paramilitary forces to withdraw their personnel who went on leave. Shah is in constant touch with Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Union Cabinet meeting
Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the Union Cabinet meeting on Wednesday (May 7), a few hours after the operations were run by the Indian security forces to destroy terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir. Operation under Prime Minister Modi’s order

Terrorist bases targeted
Officials said that the nine locations that were targeted include Jaish-e-Mohammed’s headquarters in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba in Muridke. Both of them are in Punjab, Pakistan. Located a short distance from Lahore, Muridke, a huge ‘Markaz’ i.e. Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET) is the main stronghold of Jaish-e-Mohammed. People familiar with the case said on the condition of anonymity that other targets – Kotli and Muzaffarabad are the areas of PoK where both Lashkar and Jaish have terrorist camps and training facilities for a long time.
