India and America have prepared a defense framework for the coming 10 years. This agreement was signed between Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth during the ASEAN Defense Ministers’ meeting held in Kuala Lumpur. This agreement is an extension of the old defense agreement signed in 2015. Its main objective is to increase technical cooperation between the two countries, strengthen military coordination and maintain stability in the Indo-Pacific region.

Through the Defense Framework, India and America have decided that they will work together in the defense, space, maritime security, cyber and industrial sectors in the coming decade. Its objective is to create better coordination between the armies of the two countries and increase cooperation in technological development. Defense experts believe that this agreement will give a new direction to the strategic partnership between India and America. Through this, efforts will be made to maintain the balance of power in the Indo-Pacific region, so that dominance of any one country cannot be established.

Partnership will move forward with new energy-Rajnath Singh

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh described this agreement as the beginning of a new era in India-US relations. He said that this agreement will deepen the cooperation between the two countries and will open new possibilities in the defense sector in the coming ten years. Rajnath Singh also said that defense cooperation will remain the strongest pillar of India-US relations and will guarantee the security and stability of both the countries.

India is our trusted ally-America

US Defense Minister Pete Hegseth said that this partnership between India and America will prove to be very important for regional stability in the coming years. He said that both the countries together will set new standards in technology, information and defense production. Hegseth said that America wants to see an Indo-Pacific that is free, open and with equal opportunities for all. India’s role is very important in this direction.

Shared perspective on Indo-Pacific

Both India and America made it clear that they are committed to maintaining peace and freedom in the Indo-Pacific region. Rajnath Singh said that it is necessary to keep this area free from any kind of pressure or military domination. America also said that it will cooperate with India in every possible way to keep the region safe and stable.

Strong message on China

In Kuala Lumpur, US Defense Minister Hegseth met Chinese Defense Minister Admiral Dong Jun and clearly said that America does not desire any conflict, but will take every necessary step to protect its interests. This statement indicates that America still wants to keep its strategic role active in the Indo-Pacific and India is an important partner for it.

Growing defense trade and technical cooperation

Defense trade between India and America has now reached more than $25 billion. Many important deals have been signed between the two countries, the major ones being the purchase of MQ-9B Predator drone and GE-F404 engine. These projects will not only increase India’s military capability but will also boost defense production under the Make in India initiative. Many big American companies are now ready for joint production in India, which will boost employment and technological development.

Strong partnership despite differences

Some differences have emerged between India and the US in recent months over trade policies, yet defense cooperation between the two countries remains strong. Rajnath Singh said that the partnership between the two countries is so deep that no trade tension or geopolitical challenge can weaken it.

The US administration, led by Donald Trump, has asked its major allies Japan and Australia to clarify what will be their role in such a situation if China carries a military attack on Taiwan. This has been claimed in a report by Financial Times.

According to the report, the Trump administration wants to understand the stand of its allies in the scenario of any possible military conflict between China and the US over Taiwan. US Defense Policy Deputy Secretary Elbridge Kolby recently raised the issue in a conversation with the defense officials of Japan and Australia.

Allies are shocked, America did not guarantee itself

The Financial Times reported that this question of the Trump administration made Japan and Australia a little uncomfortable, as the US has not yet clarified whether China attacks Taiwan, it will guarantee its security itself or not.

What did Kolby say?

US Defense Policy Deputy Secretary Elbridge Kolbie said on the social media platform X (East Twitter) that the Defense Department is focusing on implementing the President’s first agenda of the President. This involves restoring resistance, maintaining peace through strength and expecting the collaborative countries to increase their contribution to their defense spending and collective safety efforts.

Is America’s policy double on Taiwan?

There is no official diplomatic relationship between Taiwan and America, yet America is the most weapon giving Taiwan. These weapons are given under the Taiwan Relations Act, which determines the help of America in Taiwan’s security.

Experts say that this is part of the US Indo-Pacific strategy, which aims to stop the increasing dominance of China. But the question is that if China attacks Taiwan, will Japan and Australia support America?

Taiwan has been a major cause of dispute between America and China for many years. China considers Taiwan as its part, while the US considers the ‘one China policy’ but still supports Taiwan on international forums on many occasions.

On the other hand, Australia, UK and America are part of the Treaty, including security cooperation, but the direct military intervention for Taiwan is not currently in their policy. The biggest concern for these two countries is that while America is geographically away from China, Japan and Australia are in China’s missile range. In such a situation, it will be a risky decision for him to be involved in a military conflict.

Will the situation be difficult for India in Taiwan crisis too?

Many analysts believe that the Trump administration should ask its colleagues what they will do in the event of China’s attack on Taiwan, in a way there may be an attempt to send strict messages to China. But if countries like Japan and Australia do not take a clear stance, then it can also be indicated that America can fall alone on this issue. In such a situation, some experts are considering this strategy in the interest of entangled and China.

Talking about India, he is a strategic partner of America, but is not part of any formal military alliance. So far, the Trump administration has not asked India any direct question on this issue, but if there is a military conflict with China over Taiwan in future, then America can expect public support or anti-China stance from India.

However, diplomatic experts believe that India will not be directly involved in this struggle. Recently during the Indo-Pakistan tension, the stance of the Trump administration has explained to India what the priorities of America are. Therefore, if there is a war between China and America, then India will adopt a neutral attitude and will keep itself away, considering it as an external conflict.

Indian Air Force Chief Greece Visit: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Cyprus, Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh is on a visit to Greece. The special thing is that both Greece and Cyprus are countries in the Mediterranean Sea region. Both of them have old feud with Turki. The Turkias helped Pakistan during Operation Sindoor.

For the last few years, India’s defense partnership from Alexander’s country Greece has been increasing. In the year 2024, the Greece Air Force reached India, so now Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh is in Greece on an official visit to strengthen the relationship.

Greece Air Force gave a grand reception
The Indian Air Force was given a grand welcome by the Greece Air Force and was given the Guard of Honor. Giving information on the social media platform ‘X’, the Indian Air Force said that the main objective of this visit is to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the field of operation and training. Air Chief Marshal AP Singh visited Greece’s fighter unit and participated in the staff tox. Air forces of both countries have already participated in joint military exercises such as ‘Inios-23’, ‘Inios-25’ and ‘Tarang Shakti-24’.

Why Air Chief Marshal Singh’s visit to Greece is necessary
Air Chief Marshal Singh, besides Greece’s fighter unit, also visited the Halenic Air Force Academy at Decliane Airbase. During this time, mutual training, technical cooperation and joint military schemes were discussed in detail between the military officials of the two countries. The visit of Air Chief Marshal AP Singh will also empower defense partnership and India’s global military diplomacy. Earlier, Greece’s Air Force Chief Lieutenant General Demosthenis Gregoridis, at the Halenic Air Force General Staff located at Greece’s Papagu Military Base, was formalized by Air Chief Marshal AP Singh. This tour is expected to give a new direction to the ongoing military cooperation between the two countries.

How is Greece’s relationship with Turki?
Greece has a figure of thirty -six with Turkas. The two countries have been in dispute in the Mediterranean Sagar and Azian C for the last several decades. There has been a long tension in both countries regarding Cyprus. Greece needs global support against Turki. In such a situation, ‘World-Leader’ i.e. Vishwaguru India cannot be an important country. This is the same Turki who never forgets to support Pakistan on the global platform on the issue of Kashmir. After the Pahalgam massacre, the President of Turki was laughing a lot with the Pakistani PM Shahbaz Sharif, while Erdogan also sent weapons against India. The second thing was that all the drones of the Turki failed in front of India. During Operation Sindoor, the Turki drone was defeated by the Indian air defense system in the air itself. It is believed that the Air Force chief also discussed Operation Sindoor in talks with his Greek counterpart and explained how the Indian Air Force destroyed the airbase of Pakistan.

Greece Prime Minister Kiriyakos Mitsotakis visits India
Security challenges are increasing in the Mediterranean Sea and Indo-Pacific sector, at such a time India and Greece military cooperation will strengthen the strategic preparations of the two countries. In the last few years, India and Greece have come together to deal with this strategic challenges. Last year, Greece Prime Minister Kiriyakos Mitsotakis also visited India (20-24 February 2024). His visit was not limited to alive the relations between ancient India and Greece (modern Greece) once again, but it had many strategic matters.
