Many people died due to contaminated water in Indore. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has targeted BJP. He alleged on Friday (January 2, 2025) that BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh has become the center of misgovernance and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is silent as always on the death of the poor. He claimed that the double engine of BJP is responsible for killing the right to life.

No water, poison distributed in Indore: Rahul Gandhi

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi posted on Twitter and said, ‘There is no water in Indore, poison is distributed and the administration is in Kumbhakarni sleep. There is mourning in every house, the poor are helpless and on top of that, the arrogant statements of BJP leaders, those whose homes have been extinguished, needed solace, but the government served them arrogantly. He questioned that if people repeatedly complained about dirty, smelly water, then why was no hearing held?

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha said, ‘How did sewerage get into drinking water? Why was the supply not stopped in time? When will action be taken against responsible officers and leaders? This is not a simple question, this is a demand for accountability. Clean water is not a favor, it is a right to life and the double engine of BJP, its careless administration and insensitive leadership are completely responsible for killing this right.

MP has become the center of misadministration: Rahul Gandhi

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi alleged, ‘Madhya Pradesh has now become the center of misadministration. Somewhere there were deaths due to cough syrup, somewhere there were rats killing children in government hospitals and now there were deaths due to drinking water mixed with sewerage. Whenever the poor die, Modi ji remains silent as always.

Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava said on Friday that he has received information about the death of 10 people due to an outbreak of vomiting and diarrhea caused by drinking contaminated water in Bhagirathpura area of the city. Local citizens have claimed that 14 people, including a six-month-old child, have died due to this outbreak. The Health Department has not confirmed this claim.
