Amit shah on indus water treatment: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has made it clear that India has decided to suspend the Indus Water Treaty permanently and now this treaty will not be restored. He alleged that Pakistan violated the terms of this agreement, so it would not get the water that it was getting earlier.

In an interview to Times of India, Amit Shah said, “No, this (treaty) will never be restored. It is not easy to cancel international treaties unilaterally, but we had the right to suspend it and we did the same.” He said that this treaty was done for the purpose of peace and progress between India and Pakistan, but when its conditions were broken, its justification ended.

India took action after Pahalgam terror attack

After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April, India has started taking strict measures against Pakistan. 26 tourists lost their lives in this attack, causing a wave of anger and sorrow in India. Soon after, India suspended the Indus Water Treaty with immediate effect and many diplomatic decisions, such as Pakistani citizens were also expelled.

What did Amit Shah say by condemning the Pahalgam attack?

Union Home Minister Amit Shah strongly condemned the Pahalgam attack, calling it a conspiracy to disrupt peace in Kashmir and to wander the youth. He said, “The Pahalgam attack was intentionally carried out so that the growing tourism in Kashmir is stopped and the youth there can be removed from the path of development, but the people of the valley are now more standing with India than ever before.”

Home Minister Amit Shah claimed that India responded to Pakistan by attacking their airbase in retaliation, making Pakistan appeal to the ceasefire.
