Fuel Saving Technology: Amidst the global oil crisis and rising fuel prices, a foreign company has made such a claim which has caught everyone’s attention. Monaco-based company FOWE Eco Solutions has claimed to have introduced a technology with the help of which vehicles and industrial machines can do more work with less fuel. The company says that by using water in this technology, fuel consumption can be reduced by 10%.

This proposal has come at a critical time for India, when the country imports about 88 percent of its crude oil requirement. In such a situation, any fuel saving technology has a direct impact on the country’s economy and rupee. For this reason, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also emphasized on saving fuel.

How does this technology work?

According to the company, its patented technology “Cavitech Fuel Emulsion” mixes fuel and water in a special way. This creates extremely small water droplets inside the fuel, which cause “micro explosions” inside the particles during burning.

Due to this process, fuel burns better, which reduces fuel consumption and also produces less smoke. However, the company says that this technology does not require any major changes in the engine. Also, it can be used even without switching off the machine.

Claims of fuel saving and pollution reduction

According to company and independent test data, this technology has shown fuel savings of 6-10% in boilers and marine engines. Tests were also conducted in some refineries and steel plants in India, in which fuel savings of 3.6% to 6% were recorded.

FOWE says that this can also reduce harmful emissions like NOx and SOx by 40%. Also, less dirt accumulates inside boilers and furnaces, which can also reduce maintenance costs.

However, this technology is not yet being used on a large scale in common vehicles. At present it is being tested in industrial units, ships and power plants. At the same time, experts believe that if this technology proves successful on a large scale, then it can bring a big change in the field of fuel saving in the coming days.
