US intelligence director Tulsi Gaburd has made a big disclosure about Russia’s alleged interference in the 2016 presidential election. He has made public some confidential documents, claiming that the entire story was coined by the Obama administration for political purpose to weaken the victory of Donald Trump.

Gabard said that the intelligence reports of the time clearly stated that Russia’s cyber activities were neither sufficient nor influential to influence the election results. Despite this, the then President Barack Obama, former CIA director John Brainon, former FBI chief James Komi and other officials deliberately spread fake information and conspired against Trump.

What was in documents?

Documents made public by Gabard revealed that the intelligence report prepared in December 2016 said that foreign forces made cyber attacks on the US election system, but they were not so effective that the election results could change. Despite this, a new report released in January 2017 claimed that Russia tried to benefit Trump.

Gabard has handed over all these documents to the Department of Justice so that Trump, his family and American public can get justice. He has demanded that there should be a criminal investigation against all the responsible officials of the Obama administration.

Trump’s spicy retaliation

Donald Trump has reacted sharply to this entire incident. He said, “John Brainon and James Komi are very dishonest and corrupt people. They may have to pay the price. These are the people who hurt America’s democracy.” Trump also said that the conspiracy against him was a planned lie and now it has been proved that a deep conspiracy was hatched to remove him from power.

Gaburd has described it not just a political issue but an attack against the US democratic structure. He said, “This is a conspiracy against the Constitution and the soul of the country. Strict action should be taken against all those involved in this case, only then the public will return to democracy.”
