The franchise has decided to hand over the command to Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins for the third consecutive time.

Sunrisers Hyderabad posted on social media and once again announced handing over the captaincy to Pat Cummins. Cummins became the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024. Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad dropped a total of eight players from the team including star fast bowler Mohammed Shami. Shami has been traded from Hyderabad to Lucknow Super Giants.

Pat Cummins has been injured for a long time

Famous for his strong captaincy in Test and ODI, Pat Cummins had taken Sunrisers Hyderabad to the final in IPL 2024. However, last season the team could not perform as per expectations.
