Talking to Sports Star, Arun Dhumal said about the change in the months of IPL, “We will have to talk to the broadcaster face to face and get their opinion whether the tournament can be held at some other time. One suggestion was for September-October time. From the advertisers’ point of view, this is the best time because it is just before Diwali.”

Talking about the weather, Arun Dhumal said, “Weather is another problem that we are facing. It is very hot in May. We are also looking at the window from February to April and then we get a window at the end of the year. We want to do what is best for the game because IPL affects not only BCCI but many other boards as well.”

Talking about increasing the number of matches, Arun Dhumal said, “Currently there are 7 home and 7 away matches. There will be 9 home games and 9 away games in the format for 10 teams. We are not able to do this due to bilateral matches. If we get the window, we will work on adding 2 more weeks. With this, we will consider increasing the number of matches from 74 to 94, so that teams can get a chance to play equal number of home and away matches.”
