IAS Amneet P Kumar, wife of IPS Y Puran Kumar, lodged a complaint with the Chandigarh Police. Demanded to register a case against Haryana DGP Shatrujit Singh Kapoor and Rohtak SP Narendra Bijaraniyan for abetment of suicide and under the SC-ST Prevention of Atrocities Act. He gave his complaint in four pages.

Husband had to endure caste discrimination in the department – complaint

In the complaint, she has written that her husband had told how a conspiracy was being hatched to implicate her in a false case in Rohtak. She has also written that her husband had to endure caste discrimination in the department. Along with this, IAS Amneet P Kumar has also mentioned an eight-page suicide note in his complaint.

Demand for immediate arrest of DGP and SP

IAS Amneet also wrote that after returning from Japan, when she checked the laptop at home, her husband’s typed suicide note was saved in it. The hard copy of the suicide note was also found by the CFSL team from the spot. Amneet has also given a copy of the suicide note found from the laptop to the Chandigarh Police along with the complaint. There has also been a demand for immediate arrest of DGP and SP.

Let us tell you that on Tuesday (October 07), senior IPS officer of Haryana Police, Y Puran Kumar, had allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself at his residence in Chandigarh Sector-11. On Tuesday afternoon, the police had received information about the suicide of Y Puran Kumar. Police reached the spot and recovered his body from the house. He committed suicide by shooting himself with his licensed weapon.

IAS lived with wife and daughter

IPS officer Y Puran Kumar lived with his IAS wife and daughter in house number 116 in Chandigarh Sector-11. He was a 2001 batch IPS officer. Before committing suicide, he was posted in the Police Training College. His wife Amneet P Kumar is an IAS officer of Haryana cadre. At the time of the incident, she was on a Japan tour with CM Nayab Singh Saini. Police had also recovered a suicide note from the incident site.
