Iran Nuclear Program: Amidst the tension between America and Iran, new satellite photos have raised a big question. An investigative report by CNN has claimed that Iran is re-construction work on some of its suspected nuclear sites. These activities have come to light at a time when Iran had promised not to develop nuclear weapons under the 14-point Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two countries last month. Now these pictures have increased the possibility of violation of this agreement.

What was seen in satellite photos?

CNN analyzed satellite images in collaboration with the Institute for Science and International Security. According to the report, the maximum activity has been seen in the Parchin nuclear complex, where the possibility of explosive tests related to nuclear weapons has been raised earlier also.

According to the report, before the joint attack by America and Israel, Iran had created a concrete protective layer around this complex. This part was damaged in the attack, but in new photographs from June and July, repair and construction work is seen resuming there.

Movement on Pickaxe Mountain too

The report also mentions Pickaxe Mountain, which is considered a sensitive site related to Iran’s nuclear program. Satellite images have shown movement of vehicles inside the tunnels. Experts say that such activities cannot be considered in accordance with the terms of the agreement with America and this has raised new questions.

Activities also on nuclear and missile sites

According to the report, at present no new major activity has been seen at major nuclear centers like Isfahan, Fordow and Natanz. However, there are indications that repair and construction work has started at some missile storage centers in Iran. America and its allies have already been expressing concern about Iran’s missile program.

What was the agreement?

In the 14-point MoU signed between America and Iran last month, Iran had clearly reiterated that it will neither develop nor acquire nuclear weapons. Apart from this, it was also agreed to resolve the stockpile of enriched uranium under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

However, satellite images now surfaced have raised questions about whether Iran had started violating the terms of the agreement just days after it was signed. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has already announced the end of the ceasefire, due to which the tension between the two countries has increased further.

The atmosphere of talks in Switzerland on Sunday (21 June 2026) between Iran and America to reduce the ongoing tension in the Middle East remained a bit tense, although an agreement has been reached between the two countries on important issues. Following differences over Lebanon and US President Donald Trump’s statement, the talks were halted for some time; after some tension, the outcome of the meeting was positive. Vice President JD Vance attended this meeting from America’s side. The Iranian delegation was led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

The first round of talks began after a recent interim agreement, which aims to reduce the tension and conflict that has been going on for the last 4 months. Also, both the countries want to move towards a big and permanent agreement. This includes many important issues like Iran’s nuclear program and regional disputes. Before the talks started, Iran had made it clear that the talks would move forward only when America fulfills its promises. During the meeting, Iran has also said that if the conflict in Lebanon does not stop, then talks on other issues will not move forward.

How long did the first round of talks last?

The first round of talks lasted for about 80 minutes. According to the Foreign Ministry of Iran, during this period issues like ceasefire, relief in sanctions and release of Iran’s frozen property were discussed. Iranian officials said that a draft framework to relax the ban on Iranian oil exports is almost ready. Also, options to release freeze funds with the help of Qatar were also discussed. Tension increased when Donald Trump warned Iran to stop its allies in Lebanon, otherwise it would have to face serious consequences. After this, the Iranian delegation protested and left the meeting for some time. According to Iranian media, this was done in protest against Trump’s statement.

Benjamin Netanyahu gave a signal

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that America should give its statements very carefully. He said that Iran’s army is ready to respond to every situation. JD Vance tried to calm the atmosphere. He said that tension in such talks is normal and the talks are still going on. He said that this process is not easy, but America is committed to regional peace.

Preparations have intensified to start a new round of talks between America and Iran. The talks were originally scheduled to begin on Friday (June 19), but were postponed due to increasing tensions between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon. However, later the news of ceasefire being implemented between the two sides came out. It was said that this ceasefire was possible due to the mediation of America and Qatar, while Iran also played an important role in it.

No official announcement regarding new date

At present, no official announcement has been made regarding the new date of talks. But according to sources, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi may also reach Switzerland on Saturday. Iran has made it clear that a permanent ceasefire in Lebanon is an important condition for it to carry forward talks with America. Qatar’s entry in America-Iran deal

Meanwhile, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani has also reached Switzerland. Qatar is being counted among the major mediating countries that facilitate negotiations between America and Iran. The Foreign Ministry of Switzerland has confirmed that the scheduled talks between America and Iran have been postponed for the time being. The ministry said that Switzerland is fully prepared to facilitate this conversation and preparations are going on in Bergenstock. The 14-point MoU between America and Iran includes many important points. In this, it has been said that military activities including Lebanon should be stopped immediately and permanently. Also, a target has been set to reach the final agreement within 60 days, which can be extended if needed.

What will America do under the agreement?

Under the agreement, America will start removing the naval blockade and some sanctions imposed on Iran. In return, Iran will provide safe and free passage to commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz for the next 60 days. During this time, technical talks on Iran’s nuclear program will also move forward. This MoU also includes the gradual lifting of sanctions, release of frozen Iranian assets, relief from the US Treasury for Iranian oil exports and US-backed reconstruction plans for Iran’s economic development.

Qatar talked about supporting

Qatar has once again said its support for talks between America and Iran. According to Qatar’s Foreign Ministry, dialogue is the best way to find a peaceful solution to the remaining issues between the two countries. Now the eyes of the whole world are focused on whether the talks to be held in Switzerland will really be able to reduce tension in the Middle East and open the way for a new beginning in US-Iran relations.

US Iran Deal: Despite the signing of the agreement between America and Iran, the tension between the two countries does not seem to have ended completely. US President Donald Trump has once again launched a scathing attack on Iran, claiming that Iran’s military strength is almost exhausted after the war. Trump clearly said that America will not provide any kind of economic relief to Iran and it will not get even a penny from America.

Trump claims- Iran’s military power destroyed

Donald Trump rejected the criticism of his political opponents by making several consecutive posts on social media. He said that after the recent conflict, Iran’s military capabilities have suffered huge damage. According to Trump, Iran now has neither an effective air force, nor a navy, nor an adequate anti-aircraft system or radar. He said that the war has completely weakened Iran and its military power has become much less than before.

Democrats also targeted

The US President also targeted opposition Democrat leaders on this issue. He said that some Democrats are claiming that Iran is in a better situation than four months ago. Trump taunted, “Yet the Democrats say Iran is in a better place now than it was four months ago. Can you imagine that? How stupid some people can be?”

“Iran, not America, was desperate for talks”

Trump also claimed that the initiative for talks after the conflict was not taken by America but by Iran. He said that America was not desperate for any agreement, but Iran wanted talks. He said, “We were not desperate, Iran was. They are finished.” Trump reiterated that America is not in favor of providing any kind of financial relief to Iran. He said that Iran will neither receive any economic aid nor be given any kind of financial benefit. “They won’t get any money, not ten cents,” Trump said.

Khamenei rejected Trump’s claims

This statement of Trump came a day after the remarks of Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei. Rejecting Trump’s claims, Khamenei had said that America and Trump were more eager for the agreement. He alleged that the US President was “desperate” to reach a settlement and used all kinds of political efforts and tactics to achieve it.

Khamenei gave clarification regarding the agreement

In his first public statement after the signing of the US-Iran agreement, Khamenei said that he had initially opposed the agreement on principle. However, later President Massoud Pezeshkian and members of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council assured him that the interests of the country and the “Resistance Front” would be protected through this agreement. After this he approved the agreement.

Just 24 hours after the deal between America and Iran, the situation seems to be getting complicated again. After the signing of the MoU, the important meeting to be held in Geneva on Friday 19 June 2026 has been cancelled. US Vice President JD Vance was to attend this meeting. MoU was signed between America and Iran on June 18 at the Palace of Versailles. After the signature of US President Donald Trump, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also signed it.

A total of 14 important issues were included in this agreement, including the Strait of Hormuz, Lebanon and Iran’s nuclear program. It also said that the war should be stopped immediately. After this agreement, the whole world heaved a sigh of relief, because the Strait of Hormuz was closed due to war for the last 3-4 months and this was affecting the global oil supply. After the MoU, there was hope that the oil crisis would reduce, but within just 24 hours the tension between the two countries started increasing again.

There was to be discussion on implementing the terms of the MoU

The implementation of the terms of the MoU was to be discussed in Geneva on June 19. According to the agreement, a final deal is to be made between the two countries within the next 60 days. Only after this will it be considered that the crisis of war in West Asia has completely ended. The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency had also talked about attending the Geneva talks, but even before the meeting, Iran refused to send a delegation. Iran-backed organization Hezbollah alleged that Israel has violated the first condition of the MoU. According to the first condition, war was to be stopped on all fronts including Lebanon, but Hezbollah says that Israel has broken the spirit of the agreement by attacking in Lebanon. However, it is also true that Israel was not directly involved in the MOU.

Israel attacked Lebanon

Israel says that its attacks are not being carried out on Lebanon but on active Hezbollah targets there, but these attacks are also causing damage to civilians and infrastructure. America has also expressed concern over Israel’s action. The direct impact of Iran not reaching Geneva was that JD Vance also had to cancel his trip. After this the Swiss government had to issue an official statement postponing the meeting. Now questions are being raised on the deal between America and Iran and the situation seems to be becoming uncertain again. Meanwhile, Shehbaz Sharif’s Geneva tour was also cancelled. Although Pakistan had not received an official invitation to this talk, still it was seen trying to play the role of mediator.

America removed the naval blockade

At present, under the MoU, America has removed the naval blockade imposed on Iran. On the other hand, Iran has also opened the Strait of Hormuz for the next 60 days so that the movement of oil tankers and other ships stuck in the Persian Gulf can resume. According to the terms of the agreement, Iran will prepare a new system with the help of Oman in the next 60 days, which will make the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz easier.

A senior Iranian official has said that Tehran considers the recent war with the US as the first military victory in its 47-year history. He said that this result has changed Iran’s position in peace talks with America and has also presented a kind of test for Donald Trump.

Mohsen Rezaei, a military adviser to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mujabata Khamenei, told CNN, ‘This is the first time that Iran has won a battle, whereas before this it has always lost.’

Mohsen Rezai says that talks between the two countries are currently stalled and the situation remains tense due to a weak ceasefire. He also said that the final peace agreement is dependent on the US government releasing $24 billion from Iran’s frozen funds.

Iran will target American targets

Iran wants that after the interim agreement, $12 billion should be released in the first phase and $12 billion in the second phase. Rezai says that releasing this money will prove that America is ready for compromise. He said, ‘Now the decision is in Trump’s hands.’ Rezai also said that if there is another war with America, Iran will target American bases and the conflict could escalate further. He said the impact of war could spread from the Persian Gulf to the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea, although he also said the likelihood of war was low.

Meeting between Mojtaba Khamenei and Donald Trump

Rezai made it clear that there will be no direct meeting between Mujhbata Khamenei and Donald Trump. Iran has also talked about jointly managing the Strait of Hormuz with Oman. Iran also alleged that America has already backed out from agreements, so it is not easy to trust any future nuclear deal.

After the re -implementation of international sanctions, Iran announced on Sunday (October 05) that its cooperation with the United Nations Atomic Monitoring Agency (IAA) has now become irrelevant. External Affairs Minister Abbas Araghchi said that the Cairo Agreement, which was held in September, cannot continue under the current circumstances.

Araghchi said that the re -activism of Snapback Sanctions and recent military tension have completely changed the situation. He said, “The Cairo Agreement is no longer relevant to our cooperation with IAEA.”

Iran’s charge on Western countries

The Iranian Foreign Minister accused Western countries of unfair demands and threatening-based diplomacy. He said that the policies of pressure like military action and economic restrictions do not make any agreement easier, but make the conversation more difficult.

Araghchi said that Iran has always shown transparency in the conversation. Even in indirect talks with the US, but western countries ignored their proposals. He said, “If our proposals had been taken seriously and the path of diplomacy had not been closed, it was not impossible to reach an agreement.”

“Europe’s role in future conversation will reduce”

Araghchi indicated that Iran is still ready for dialogue, but the format and participants of the conversation will change in the coming time. He said that the role of European countries will be less in future talks.

He also added that the decision to abolish the current cooperation structure with IAEA has been taken due to security threats and recent attacks on nuclear sites.

Iran’s claim- ‘Our nuclear program is peaceful’

Iran once again reiterated that her nuclear program is completely peaceful. Araghchi said, “We have taken every diplomatic path to prove our goodwill and peaceful intentions. Now Western countries have no justification for refusing to negotiate.” He insisted that Iran is ready to restore faith, but only when the other side also shows honesty.
