Amidst the ongoing war in the Middle East, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has given a big message by writing an open letter to the American people. He said, ‘The people of Iran have no animosity in the hearts of ordinary Americans and the people of the two countries should not be seen against each other.’

Masood Pezeshkian wrote in the letter that the people of Iran do not hate the people of any country, this also includes the people of America. He called it not a political matter but a deep thought and principle. This statement came before US President Donald’s address to the country.

Questions were also raised on the perspective of western countries

The President of Iran also questioned the attitude of Western countries in which Iran is being shown as a threat. He said that this picture neither matches the history nor the reality of today. He also raised questions on America’s military action and asked whether there was really any threat from Iran due to which such steps had to be taken? He also said that the death of civilians and damage to infrastructure is not right in any way and it also affects the image of America. Pejeshkian also pointed out whether America got involved in this war under someone else’s influence. He directly raised the question whether America is taking this step for Israel.

The Iranian President also mentioned in the letter old issues, such as the 1953 coup, long-term sanctions and past conflicts, which weakened trust between the two countries. Despite this, he said that Iran never chose the path of attack on its own, but only protected itself. Stating that the world is at a critical juncture, he said that the path of confrontation is now proving to be more costly and useless. He appealed to carry forward dialogue and understanding.
