Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar reached America on Friday (29 May 2026). According to Bloomberg report, Ishaq Dar will hold an important meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. In this meeting, discussions are expected to be held on maintaining peace and stability in the Middle East. From Pakistan side it has been said that there will be talks between the two leaders on efforts to increase peace in the area through dialogue and diplomacy. On reaching America, Ishaq Dar was welcomed by Pakistan’s Ambassador to America Rizwan Saeed Sheikh and senior officials of the Pakistani Embassy.

Apart from bilateral relations, regional issues are also likely to be discussed between Ishaq Dar and Marco Rubio during the US visit. It is believed that issues like security, diplomacy and the current situation in West Asia can be a part of the talks between the two countries.

America’s big claim regarding Iran

This meeting is taking place at a time when America had said on Thursday (28 May 2026) that a possible agreement between the two countries is close. However, Iran denied the claim. US President Donald Trump has also not signed any agreement yet. He says he needs more time to think about it. This meeting is being monitored at the international level, because this meeting is considered very important amidst the ongoing tension and diplomatic activities in West Asia.
