Platforms like Instagram have become the easiest way to share photos and videos. Here everyone is expressing themselves through reels and posts. But some people cross all limits while making content in the affair of cheap popularity.

Many users put such videos on Instagram which are porn or unmatched. And for some time, the number of such users is increasing a lot. But tell you that there are strict laws in India on those who do such acts on the Internet.

According to Section 67 of the IT Act 2000, if someone puts any kind of pornographic content online. So it is considered a crime. If caught for the first time, there can be a jail and fine of up to three years. If the same mistake is made again, then the punishment increases for five years.

Apart from this, Section 354 and 356 of BNS i.e. Indian Code 2023 can also be applicable in such cases. Section 354 takes place in cases when someone sells, distributes or shows pornographic content in an online or offline manner. Under this, there can be punishment of up to two years or fine or both.

So there is Section 356 in those cases. Where a person acts pornographic on public or digital platforms or posts a material that hurts someone’s dignity. Social media is now considered a public platform, so these streams can also be used directly on objectionable things posted on Instagram.

Platforms like Instagram can also block or delete such accounts according to their policy. Many times the user is banned and the police are also given their details. That is, if an account also deletes. Even then action can be taken.
