According to the viral post of ICICI Lombard post on social media XX, if the insurance companies consider the use of E20 fuel as negligence or misuse, then the claims made for the damage caused by E20 fuel in old and non-E20 compliant vehicles can be rejected.

ICIC Lombard’s second post asked if E20 fuel is used in an E20 compatible vehicle, there is generally no impact on insurance coverage. However, the situation may be different in case of older vehicles, as they were not designed to run on high ethanol blends.
