Good news has come for the youth preparing to work in Railways. A total of 1191 vacant posts will be filled through this recruitment drive. Eligible candidates can apply through online mode. The application process has started and candidates can fill the form within the stipulated time limit.

Under this recruitment, candidates will be given training in various trades. The recruitment process has been kept completely online. Selected candidates will be given one year apprentice training. The recruitment process will be conducted under the Apprentice Act 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules.

Details of posts
A total of 1191 posts have been released in this recruitment drive. Different vacancies have been prescribed for different trades. Maximum posts have been released for COPA, Fitter, Electrician and Wireman trades. Apart from this, many other trades including carpenter, welder, painter, RAC mechanic, stenographer, diesel mechanic are included.

Ability
Candidates applying for this recruitment must have passed 10th examination from a recognized board. Along with this, there should be ITI certificate in the related trade. While applying, candidates will have to fill only 10th and ITI related information. The application may be canceled if other higher educational qualifications are entered.

age limit
The minimum age of the candidate has been fixed at 15 years and maximum age at 24 years. Age will be calculated as on June 11, 2026. Reserved category candidates will be given age relaxation as per government rules.

selection process
No written examination will be conducted for this recruitment. Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit list. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of average percentage of marks obtained in 10th and ITI. Equal weightage will be given to both the examinations.

Stipend and training period
Selected candidates will have to complete a training period of one year. During training, candidates will be given stipend as per the rules prescribed by the state government. There will be no guarantee of permanent job after completion of training.

To apply, candidates will first have to register by visiting the official portal www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in. After logging in, fill the necessary information in the application form. After uploading the necessary documents, submit the form and keep the printout with you.
