Mother’s condition was quite critical

This case is of 46 -year -old Professor Jyotsna of Delhi University, who gave birth to three girls together through IVF. Many years passed in treatment, but Jyotsna could not become a mother, due to which she had to hear a lot of people.

After all, a decision changed her life and despite being diabetes and high BP, she got the pleasure of becoming a mother. Although his pregnancy was in high risk due to these two diseases, but IVF was his last chance. In the last days of pregnancy, Professor Jyotsna got many infections including pneumonia. When the condition deteriorated, he was kept in the ICU and three children were born through the C section in the Emergency.

Girls stayed in NICU for 225 days

Girls were born premature, the condition of the three girls born in 25 weeks was very critical. Usually, it is difficult to save the children born in such a short time, but the hospital team showed amazing with full dedication and hard work, which was less expected. 6 doctors and 20 nerves worked hard day and night with Senior Neonateologist Dr. Hemant Sharma. The special thing is that none of the three girls needed to be kept on ventilator.

Within 9 hours of birth, milk was started to children and till the fourth day they started drinking mother’s milk completely. During his stay in Nicu for 225 days, neither a child had an infection in the hospital nor any bleeding in the mind. This is a big thing in itself.

Dr Hemant Sharma, senior neonateologist of the hospital, says, ‘This was a very difficult case. There was a high risk pregnancy in which the mother had diabetes and the children were born prematurely. Three girls were born together, after which we loved them with love to Tridevi. We saved these children from proper care, constant monitoring and mother’s milk. Our focus was on those things every day that children can survive. Rang brought mother’s courage and hard work

This pregnancy was not easy for Professor Jyotsna. Her condition herself was critical and she was in ICU. Despite the condition was serious, he did not give up. Even while in the ICU, she continued to extract her milk so that the children could get nourishment. This milk was necessary for the immunity of girls. Jyotsna said, ‘I am thankful to this hospital. My children were taken care of very well. Doctors and nurses not only treated but also gave me courage in this difficult time. Despite being so ill, she was attached to her girls. Today all three of my girls are at home with me. It is the most happy thing for me.

Every year in India, 35 lakh children are born premature i.e. premature time and more than 3 lakh children below 5 years of age die. In such a situation, this matter is a ray of hope.
