Jabalpur Paneer Food Poisoning: There was a stir in the NCC camp running in the Triple ITM complex located in Dumna, Jabalpur, when the health of more than 50 children suddenly deteriorated shortly after having dinner. The children started complaining of vomiting, diarrhea, stomach ache and dizziness, after which they were immediately admitted to the hospital. Of these, 7 children had to be kept in ICU. However, it is a matter of relief that all the children are said to be out of danger at present. The police administration has reached the spot and started investigating the matter.

According to initial information, the children had eaten cheese in dinner, after which their condition started deteriorating. Now it is feared that extreme heat, food poisoning or fake cheese could be the reason. This incident has once again raised concerns about adulterated cheese being sold in the market. In India, Paneer is the favorite thing of almost every household, from children to adults. It is considered a good source of protein and calcium, but health experts say that nowadays a large quantity of fake or analog cheese is being sold in the market, which can prove to be very dangerous for health.

According to the report of itclabs, things like milk and cheese spoil quickly in summer. At the same time, in many places, fake or analog cheese is sold instead of real cheese, which can cause serious harm to health. Many times starch, vegetable ghee, synthetic milk, detergent and other chemicals are added to fake cheese.

How to identify fake cheese at home

If the cheese becomes rubbery or starts breaking when put in hot water, then it may be fake. Real cheese feels slightly soft and grainy, whereas fake cheese feels smooth and plastic.

Iodine test is also considered very effective. If the color of cheese turns blue or purple when iodine is added to it, then understand that starch has been added to it. Whereas real paneer smells like milk, fake paneer can smell like oily or chemical.

Fake cheese can cause stomach infection, poor digestion, obesity, liver and kidney problems in children. Its consumption for a long time can cause serious harm to the health of children. Experts say that one should be more careful while buying cheese from outside in summer.
