Ajab Ghajab Love, released on 26 October 2012, performed very poorly at the box office. The lifetime collection of the film was only Rs 7.22 crore and it could not give any new direction to Jackie’s career. Even after this, success did not seem to be flowing his way.

Rangrez and Youngistan
Rangrezz, released on March 21, 2013, had an opening of only Rs 1 crore. The film earned Rs 6.37 crore in its lifetime and proved to be a flop. After this, Youngistan came on 28 March 2014, which collected Rs 4 crore on the opening day. But could collect only Rs 6.91 crore in lifetime.

Welcome to Karachi, released on 28 May 2015, earned Rs 5.38 crore on its opening day. But the lifetime collection remained only Rs 8.3 crore. This also turned out to be another flop in Jackie’s career.

Journey to become a producer
After failure in acting, Jackie thought of becoming a producer. He produced films like Dil Junglee and Welcome to New York. Dil Junglee earned Rs 0.35 crore on opening day and Rs 1.30 crore in lifetime. Whereas Welcome to New York’s opening was Rs 0.60 crore and lifetime collection was Rs 2.38 crore.
