Jagannath ji’s chariot journey consists of three chariots. It has a red-yellow chariot of Jagannath ji. The chariot of Balabhadra is decorated with red-green. At the same time, Subhadra Devi’s chariot is red and black. Riding on these chariots, they go to Gundicha temple to their aunt’s house.

Religious belief is that holding the rope of the chariot is like the service of Lord Jagannath. Any common devotee can touch it. It is believed that by touching or pulling the rope of the chariot, devotees attain salvation.

It is said that one who gets the privilege of touching the rope in the Jagannath Rath Yatra, all his sins are washed away and he gets rid of life and death. There is a belief that positive changes are seen in the person.

Jagannath ji’s rope is called Shankhchuda Nadi, Balabhadra’s chariot rope Vasuki and Subhadra Devi’s chariot rope is called Swarnchuda Nadi.
