Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur along with the central team from Delhi visited the disaster affected areas of Saraj assembly constituency and informed them about the damage caused by the tragedy. In the course of evaluation of disaster damage from disaster, the Leader of Opposition and the central team first reached Bagyad, followed by Thunag, Deji Village, Lambha Thach, Pandav Shila, Janjhali.

Loss of more than 1000 crores in Saraj assembly constituency itself

He said that due to this disaster, there has been a loss of more than Rs 1000 crore in Saraj assembly constituency only. At present, the work of electricity supply, drinking water supply and restoration of roads has been done temporarily.

The Leader of Opposition said that in the same way, there has been heavy loss in Nachan, Dharampur and Karsog assembly constituencies. There is a need to make concrete plans of rehabilitation along with disaster relief in these areas. He requested the team to make a special rehabilitation plan for the rehabilitation of these areas and why the disaster is coming in these areas repeatedly.

Thanks to the central government

Intensive research and studies should also be done for this, so that the causes of the disaster can be known and a permanent plan to prevent them can also be made. He said that he had urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda to evaluate and compensate for the loss from disaster. He also thanked the Central Government for sending the central team for very early evaluation.

Jairam Thakur said that people have not reached many places due to the closure of roads. The central team also could not reach there. After submitting the report after evaluation of disaster damage, he will go to Delhi himself and will meet all the prominent leaders, including the Union Home Minister and will urge Himachal to quickly help liberal financial assistance.

He also thanked the Central Government for providing all possible support in relief and rescue operations in the disaster.

Where did the central party visit

The central party took stock of the damage done to the houses and other property of the people in Bagasad and the adjoining Sharan village and also inspected the Industrial Training Institute and other damaged structures.

Himachal pradesh BJP president election: Himachal Pradesh BJP is going to get a new president soon. BJP’s election officer Dr. Rajiv Bhardwaj said that on July 1, the state BJP will get a new president. According to him, nomination will be filled on June 30.

Addressing the press conference on Sunday (June 29), Dr. Rajiv Bhardwaj said that our party believes in the democratic tradition and under it, the election of the nation and state president is held under a democratic process across the country. Under the leadership of our National Election Officer K Lakshman, elections for booths, mandals, district and state councils have been completed under the entire country. In which elections have been held in more than 8000 booths, 171 mandals and 17 districts in Himachal Pradesh.

8 National Council members will also be elected
Dr. Rajiv Bhardwaj said that the election of BJP state president and 8 National Council members has been declared in Himachal Pradesh, whose notification has been issued. On 30 June 2025, the nomination of the state president and the members of the National Council will be taken from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on 30 June 2025, these nomination papers will be examined from 2 to 3 pm and if more than one nomination comes, then its return time has been fixed from 3 to 5 pm.

He informed that on July 1, the official announcement of the state president and eight National Council members will be made at Hotel Peterhoff Shimla at 11:00 am by Union Minister Jitendra Singh. During this, co -election president Dr. Rajiv Sehjal and Sanjeev Katwal were present along with Rajiv Bhardwaj.

These three leaders join the race
Please tell that at present, Dr. Rajiv Bindal is the President of BJP in Himachal. On July 1, BJP will get a new president. However, the BJP has not opened the cards regarding the new president yet.
